My kids and I read a few stories a night. The book is well written, inspiring and has beautiful artwork with every page. I am so glad we got to ARC this one as the first Rebel Girls book is a fan favorite in our home and some posters even hang in the playroom. Thank you NetGalley and Elena for this opportunity. This one is a must own and read for your littles no matter boy or girl!

A superb collection of mini biographies on important women. I hadn’t heard of several of these women but their immigration stories where impactful and important. I’m not sure this book is well suited for younger children, I would recommend it for older children with better attention spans.

A fantastic read. The Rebel Girls books are always lovely, and this is no different, highlighting immigrants to and from different countries and the contributions they've made to their adopted homes.
The ladies run the gamut from sports stars to politicians to artists and everything in between, and there's a wonderful mix of them. I really enjoyed this and I'm going to enjoy finding out more about a few of them!
Sadly my proof copy didn't have the illustrations, but they're always lovely and I'm absolutely certain that they're gorgeous in this one as well. I'm really looking forward to seeing this in person.

I haven't read any of the previous Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls books, but I may have to remedy that. The immigrant women showcased in this book are inspiring and showcase a variety of careers and admirable diveristy. (Though, surely there could have been more than one lesbian?) Also, I'd never heard of many of the women before. Clearly there is a need for books like this.
The stories had to be brief to fit on a single page, but I felt in several instances that the language and concepts had been simplified far enough to obscure their meanings. I imagine they were intended as read-aloud stories for little girls - 5, 6, 7 years old maybe - but I think girls 8-16 could benefit greatly from a book like this with more indepth discussions.
The illustrations are beautiful and really helped make each of the women seem more real.
I'm going to try to read some of the stories to my 6 year old son because these stories aren't just for girls - they need to be read by everyone to help erase prejudice in this world.
I would *love* to see a similar series focusing on LGBT+ people. That's something else kids need to read about.

An inspiring book, no matter what your age. The Rebel Gils team put together the stories of 100 immigrant women who have changed their world—regardless of their immigrant status. I’d heard of a few of the women featured, but I learned a lot about the contributions of women to history, science, politics, humanitarian efforts, education, advocacy, and sports.
The easy-to-read format includes a short biography of each woman, along with a colorful portrait of the immigrant woman. Own voices and BIPOC artists and writers created much of the content of the book—making it a smorgasbord of talent girls everywhere will appreciate.
This book would make a great gift for Christmas, birthdays, or just-because-days. Teachers and librarians need to buy multiple copies because once students discover representation in literature, the book will fly off the shelves.

Short, inspiring min0bios that can each be read in a tiny gulp. I like that this edition concentrated on immigrant women, many of whom I had not been familiar with. This would be a great book for anyone, but older reluctant readers would particularly enjoy these stories.

I got the e-arc through Netgalley for an honest review. Yes, it is my first Rebel Girls book, and I would do my best to read the other series's other books.
There were a couple of women in the book that I knew about them. The book is very informative; it takes different women from different eras worldwide and showcases different ethnicities, nationalities, and religions.
The 100 immigrant women and many more did, do, and will continue doing more for a better future for humanity.
This volume focuses on immigrant women who left their birth country and moved elsewhere for some reason or another. Some did it out of necessity, others just because they were looking for new opportunities. The formatting feels a bit off in the Kindle version, but I am sure the hardcover will be beautiful to read. A nice book to read for inspiration.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first exposure to this delightful series! "Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls" presents short, digestible, inspiring biographies of notable women across a wide section of fields (scientists, athletes, activists, artists, politicians, etc) with a strong emphasis on women who made the world a better place for others.
This particular book centers on immigrant women, and their stories sometimes involve leaving war torn areas, but the stories are told in age appropriate ways. I think these stories would be appropriate for early elementary students (ages 6-10), and parents may find that younger children love them, as well. I'm a mid-40s teacher and mother of grown children, and I found myself captivated and inspired! Definitely recommend!
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion, which I am always happy to give! :) My thanks to the author, publisher, and #NetGalley for this opportunity.

For homeschool, we like to study important women who have changed the world and the good night series of books have been so wonderful for that!

This is the kind of book that many young women need in their lives. We've read the previous books in this series, and this one taught ME a lot about women I did not know well or even know anything about. That tells me that I need to delve into learning more about these incredible people who might not appear in mainstream media or in my corner of the world. We will read this time and again as a family and focus on several of the women to pursue more information on and follow along with. Gorgeous illustrations and highly readable text.

The book not only covers the immigration of women to United States but women who left a life of luxury to serve the people of another continent or another country. They are one page stories told in brisk and precise achievements of the women. The women who rebelled were not "bad women" as often associate rebel=bad but women who wanted to empower other women, empower themselves and bring a change in the way the society looks at women. This big book is a wonderful gift or a buy for small children certainly but also for adults to know about the lesser known women and their contribution to the world. Some go back to the 1800s to the present times. When you read the book, you realise the importance of their stories and why young girls should definitely read it. I loved the pastel colours used in the illustrations and each illustrator being different brings their own identity too in the illustrations. Please get this book and thanks to rebel girls and Netgalley for the ARC of the book.

Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me with an advance reader's copy in exchange for an honest review.
This installment of Rebel Girls follows the stories of 100 women who have achieved greatness in their respective fields and are immigrants. A few stories are more familiar than the others and we also get to read about lesser known brave and compassionate women.
All these women have made significant impact in the world. The stories are pretty short and children can read this book and get to know about a single person everyday. The diversity of the stories in this book is good and everyone can find a story that appeals to them the most.
The formatting feels a bit off in the Kindle version but I am pretty sure the hardcover is going to be beautiful to read. A nice book to read for inspiration.

I have read and thoroughly enjoyed the two previous volumes of 'Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls', so when I saw this was available from netgalley I had to check it out. As a teacher, I have shared these books with my classes before (8-10 year olds) and they absolutely adored them.
This particular volume focuses on 100 immigrant women from all over the world, who for various reasons left their birth country and moved elsewhere. The author has once again done an amazing job of collecting the stories of lots of inspirational women (many of whom I had never heard of), from artists to archers and spies to chefs. The stunning illustrations the accompany the descriptions are a huge bonus and are from a wide range of female artists and illustrators.
A fantastic and inspiring book to be shared with children!
*Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing an electronic ARC in exchange for an honest review. As always, all opinions are my own!

The arc did not have any of the artwork and I cant give any feedback on anything but the words.
This book gives a few sentences on the lives of powerful immigrant women from countries all over the world. Stories are told in alphabetical order by the woman's first name, they also give the birth date (and death if the woman has passed) as well as the countries the woman immigrated from and to. As expected these women face adversity in their lives and this book doesn't shy away from the harmful events of these women's lives but it words those things in a way that is appropriate for children.
I'd recommend this for children who need female role models.

What a charming, encouraging, beautiful, inspiring book! I hadn't read any of the others written in this style, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and could see myself reading this to my children in the future. Not only was the content fantastic (the biographies/"stories") were just long enough to be engaging but not tip past that point when you lose interest. I could not get enough of the illustrations-- absolutely gorgeous, and I'm a sucker for a good quote. Really liked this.

My kids already love the Rebel Girls books, so I knew this one would be a hit as well. We enjoyed the variety of time periods and locations included in this edition, and we have begun doing research on some of the women whose stories we found particularly intriguing.

I really loved the diverse range of women featured here in terms of time period, profession, and where they came from. This is very similar to the first two Rebel Girl books, they're quick, one page biographies of inspirational women. My copy had some formatting issues (no illustrations, format with quotes was weird) but besides that it's a great easy read.

Great resource and inspiration for young readers; I wish I could have seen artwork, as I am sure that will add tremendously to the appeal of this work.

Just like the other REBEL GIRLS books, this is wonderful! Filled with absolutely delightful illustrations and inspirational stories about strong women, in this case women who are American immigrants.
I did not like that Anna Wintour was included in this book. There is absolutely a place for strong decisive women in the workplace, but Anna Wintour is widely known for being ruthless, unkind, and creating a toxic work environment. I do not believe those are labels she earned for being a strong woman. I think she earned those labels for being harsh, unkind, and by treating others deplorably. Especially in light of the recent admission on her part of creating a work environment that frowned on racial diversity. I think there are so many strong immigrant women in America that can be showcased that Anna Wintour should not be celebrated.

I love the Rebel Girls series, and was thrilled to find out their latest installment focuses on immigrant women from all over the world! The majority of the ladies represented here I had never heard of, and it is delightful that their stories are being told. I love the Good Night Stories format, as it keeps it short and simple for young readers with just enough details to leave the reader satisfied. I also like that each illustration is done by a different artist, giving light to many different illustrators and their styles (although, of course, some I liked better than others ;-) )
