I read this book at night to my daughters and we all absolutely loved it. It is a book I can also read to my son and he finds these short stories about lesser known women in history amazing. I felt like I was really imparting great historical knowledge to my children. They just felt like these were cool stories and loved that they were about women.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of this book! This is a lovely book that provides brief snapshots into the lives of 100 immigrant women from all different backgrounds and cultures. I love the fact that some of the women are well-known and some are not, some are historical figures and some are still alive today. I also love that each women is groundbreaking in a different area: some in sports, some in arts, some in politics, some in science, etc. The writing style is very simple and I think it will appeal to younger middle grade readers the most, but there is definitely a lot to learn from this book even for older readers. It can be read to and discussed with younger children as well. The e-ARC of the book doesn't have the illustrations, but I can only imagine that those will contribute another dimension of richness to this already beautiful book. I haven't read either of the previous volumes in this series, but after reading this one, I definitely want to read those as well! Definitely recommend!

This book gives a one page mini biography on dozens of women immigrants who are well-known in a certain field. I will not say inspiring, since many of them were not. The range from discoverer of the gluon and WWII spy to sumo commentator and professional bowler was very inclusive, but felt like they were reaching to fill the pages.

Overall, it was nicely done. The stories were well written and included a drawing/painting of the heroine done by international women artists. I would recommend it for girls 8 to 12 (or mature 5-7 year-olds) since some stories deal with sensitive topics like abusive husbands, war and discrimination.

Another fabulous addition to this series, this book gives excellent one page blurbs about 100 incredible immigrant women from all over the world. The illustrations are gorgeous and the write-ups are great overviews of these amazing people, enough information to get kids interested in researching further.

A fantastic addition to the others in this story collection! It is enjoyable to read short snippets about the lives of women who have changed the fabric of our society, knowing that they may be inspiring interest in the little ones hearing these good night stories. The inclusion of women from around the world, both past and present, gives every child a pinnacle to reach for, no matter if their passion lies in politics or STEM or art. The portraits are vibrant and visually interesting and each page is sure to garner curiosity and further education about the icons of history!

Another great read in the Good Night Stories series, my only disappointment was that I feel like with the immigrant theme, there could have been a greater focus on refugee women. They were included, and I appreciate a page is not much in which to include lots of detail, but it still felt like a wasted opportunity to not bring more focus to what is, sadly, an area of such controversy. But overall still a good read, and as always with these books I found myself learning about numerous amazing women I had not previously encountered.

If you have children and you have yet not heard about the phenomenon named "Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls", you've been living under a rock. The two volumes published so far in the series gave a thrilling glimpse of some notable lady achievers from over the centuries. These two books have made such a wonderful gift for many a little girl in my children's circle of friends. And that's why this latest addition excites me so much.

The third volume in this best-selling series focuses on talented female immigrants from across the world. The range of lady achievers covered in this book is truly astounding. A surprisingly large number of names were totally unfamiliar to me. As in the first two volumes, the crisp one-page stories were enticing and motivating for all the little dreamers out there. And they were accompanied by brilliant illustrations by female artists from around the world.
Every story demonstrates the power of perseverance, diligence and courage. There can be no doubt about it. This book has to go in the must-read shelf, for every little girl and boy.

I'm eagerly awaiting the publication of this book so that the physical copy joins the first two volumes in my bookshelf.

With thanks to NetGalley and the Rebel Girls team for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A wonderful book which was a great insight into so many different people. I liked the fact the chapters were short so you could read about a different person every night. It would lead to a good discussion about what these people have achieved.

Inspiring picture book! The vibrant artwork throughout this book is gorgeous. Each story is quick shot, inspirational history on accomplished immigrant women. I especially liked that the occupations of these women varied, which would encourage young readers to follow their own truths.

This is an incredibly important addition to any classroom library. I loved the first two Good night stories for rebel girls and particularly enjoy sharing them with members of my class. I similarly enjoyed the stories in this edition of women who have overcome some insurmountable odds. The pictures, unfortunately, did not work in my version but if they’re anything like the rest of the books they’ll be beautiful.

This book is a nonfiction, informative collection of real women who beat the odds in order to change the world.

I think it focused mainly current figures over a variety of genres and areas of culture, which I love because we are teaching our children about so many different women versus the "usual" ones such as Harriet Tubman or Helen Keller or Florence Nightingale (who people still need to hear about but it makes children think that great women were only women from decades ago when we need to show them how women TODAY are great, too). Such as: athletes, inventors, activists and more. It's very safe to say that you will not have heard of a majority of these women so this book opens up the rest of the world to these equally important but lessor known women.

Overall, this is an informative bedtime story styled book that focuses on the main details of each woman's life. It's a good starting point for people to investigate these women further. Which, speaking of, I like how the table of contents says the name of each woman and their title (i.e. activist, ballet dancer, paralympian, etc) because it makes easy to go back and Google them.

Thanks to Netgalley for sending me an advanced copy of this book, which to be honest I was really looking forward to reading.

I had already read the first two books of Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls and I loved them and this was no exception, I even think I liked it much more than the others.

In this we learn the story of a hundred immigrant women who in their own way contributed to society and the world to make it a better place.

But apart from the achievements these women had, we also see how it was hard for some of them to be in a country that is not theirs because of the discrimination they suffered and I think it is important to know their stories, tell them so that characters are in their lives. same position, they can see that they can achieve great things despite being an immigrant.

Again, thanks to netgalley for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review.

What a great book!! I will be buying this for my classroom when we are allowed to have books again. The illustrations are GORGEOUS! I like that it focus on women from many different backgrounds and with many different careers. A critique is that I believe it only includes cis women.

3.5 Stars (I received an e-arc from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review)

I did really enjoy reading the stories of all the immigrant women and was surprised, yet happy to see a lot of Jewish women being represented. The downside of reading an e-arc is that the formatting was a bit wonky and any illustrations were blocked out. I recently read the first book is in the series in e-book form and there wasn’t any issues with formatting. But there was a wide variety of ages and periods in time and I look forward to seeing what the illustrations in the final version look like.

This is a sweet book like the other books (in the series) that came before it. I enjoyed the stories from all over the world, especially that there were modern stories like Ilhan Omar's. At first the writing style feels a little short/nondescript, but once you get into the book, it's nice to read a story or two a night.

I had seen the previous books released in the Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls series and I'm so happy to have read this one. It's full of amazing stories about immigrant woman, it's so sad that I didn't know so many of these amazing life stories; even some from my own country! That was such an amazing surprise. As a teacher I would love to include this book in my classroom library. It's absolutely inspiring, and so many girls should read about these great women.

Another terrific edition in the Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls series, this time focusing on 100 immigrant women and their global achievements.

You’ll meet a female spy, artists, physicians, archers, scientists, acrobats, actresses, chefs, and many more.

As a child, I loved reading mini bios and wish the Rebel Girls’ books had been available then.

I dare anyone to read this splendid collection and not come away inspired to pursue your most cherished dreams. The colorful illustrations are gorgeous too, done by talented female artists from across the world. 5 of 5 Stars!

This was an easy to read volume that describes different women from around the globe who made an impact. This book, specifically, focuses on immigrant women, which is very timely. I definitely see myself buying a copy for my daughter to read.
