This is a gorgeous book which has beautiful illustrations, as well as informative and interesting content for primary and early secondary children. It refers to women of different cultures in such a positive way and provides great models for young women that I will be very pleased to share and recommend.

Inspiring women from all over the globe, who changed the way the world thinks and feels. You might already be familiar with Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls, the book that started a global phenomenon of pieces of literature devoted to empowering young girls with stories of women who changed the world.

In this edition, Rebel Girls come back with the lives of 100 immigrant women and their achievements. A hundred new stories, some of them more known than others, of 100 very intelligent, courageous, and compassionate women, whose thoughts and acts had a significant impact on the world. And now, it's time for these stories to inspire young children everywhere.

Paired with the same high-quality aesthetic we saw on previous editions, the book is a masterpiece as a whole. This is a wonderful addition to every family's library. And please don't be fooled by the title - these stories are for everyone, female or male, young or old. A highly recommended read.

What a great book! Quick descriptions paired with a beautiful piece of artwork of an amazing woman. I’m ashamed I didn’t know about many of these women and their challenges & successes. As a mother of a little girl I can’t wait to share these stories with my daughter. I think this book would be a wonderful addition to any classroom or curriculum as well.

Another fantastic addition to the ‘Rebel Girls’ series. A great collection of inspirational women who moved from their native country and were determined not to be confined. Stories from science, sport, fashion, politics and much, much more.
A great thought provoking introduction from Elena Favilli encouraging all ‘rebel girls’ to be all they can be. Must read for all girls, everywhere!

I felt this book is growing aside it's readers.
unlike the first two with more "popular" female role models this one explores a more diverse group.

I love seeing all the stories of immigrants who found success in other countries.

The ilistratuons quotes and text were great.

As a former reader of book 1 &2 I enjoyed visiting this once again.

Thank you Netgalley.

My e-arc lacked the illustrations, which I think are a large part of the Rebel Girl series, so I've decided not to rate this book. I do want to say that I thought it was pretty good despite the missing art. I haven't read the previous books, so I don't know how it compares, but I thought it covered some interesting women, only a handful of which I already knew beforehand. I think the idea behind the series is a truly wonderful one, and I'm really pleased that the series has proved to be successful. My main gripe with this book, though, is that I thought the bios were too short. A small page of writing is not sufficient enough space to cover the lives of these women, and because the bios were so short, I often felt I didn't get a clear image of the women in question. I also felt that the writing was perhaps a little too juvenile. I know that these are children's books, but I think they could have benefited from a little more complexity. But overall, this is a pretty good book and I imagine it's a good continuation of the book series.

(I'm rating this 3 stars on NetGalley, but I think it'd be 4 stars with the artwork)

I absolutely loved this, just as I have loved the other installments of Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls. This collection included several immigrant women who may be familiar to others, but several who many have probably never heard of. I thought it was a very impactful collection and would absolutely recommend to anyone with a little girl looking for positive role models. Each woman in this book had an incredible story that deserved to be shared and I whole heartedly believed Elena Favilli did an exceptional job sharing them.

And here I am at the end of that adventure.
Reading the story of 100 immigrant women who changed the world, well, it gives the reader much food for thought.

I had already read the author's two previous books and I had previously appreciated her desire to focus the two volumes on the female figure, but I believe that this volume has an extra gear, especially at a time when the figure of women is always underestimated in any area.

I can't wait to have the paper in my hands.

5 out of 5 💪Girl Power International

Another tome of Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls shows 100 portraits of female immigrants that made their impact on the world. I liked the variety of representation that doesn't focus on the United States and the UK. On the same note, the book shows women from both the past and the ones currently living, both young and old with all skin colors and background history.
Each person is represented with a brief description, their immigration route, and a beautiful portrait - each painted by the different talented artists. I greatly admired that eclectic design idea.
Overall, this is another great gift for brave young girls and women.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher Rebel Girls for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and feelings are my own.

The goodnight stories series is a gem. It is full of stories, some well known, some not so well known, that can encourage, inspire and educate, not just young girls, but young people. This book is no different. At a time when 'immigrant' is seen as a dirty word in society, this book shines a light on some truly inspirational figures. I hope that many people will read this book and that it shall shape and change their world view.
