This review is not going to be long. I am not a huge fan of a review rehashing the entire plot and spoiling it for everyone.

I read 3 of Evelyn Montgomery books back to back. They are connected. (Reckless, Rebellion, & Deliverance) This is a great second chance romance. There is plenty of intrigue, humor, and hot romance. I enjoyed reading this book.

I received an ARC of this book to read through NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This has been my favorite book by Evelyn so far. The story line was incredible and I was hooked on from the very beginning.

This was a pretty good book. The story was well paced. The main characters were really exciting to follow on their journey. I hadn’t read this author before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was not disappointed!

Rebellion rejoins the world with Troy, Rex, and Noah. But this time we have Brittany and what happened to make her the woman she is today. Dylan is a single father and FBI agent who is trying to keep the bad guys off the streets and protect his heart from anyone who can get to close.

When they meet while on Christmas vacation she sneaks under his skin and into his heart. What he doesn’t expect is to end up undercover with her weeks later. Lies, secrets, life changing revelations, and death are In store for these two as they are after one of the biggest cocaine dealer in the states. Can they survive ?

Didn't quite work for me:
I usually love romantic suspense but unfortunately I think this book was trying to be too many different things and as a consequence fell flat.
Dylan and Brittany feel an intense attraction and slowly start to open up to one another whilst vacationing over Christmas. Things turn complicated when unbeknownst to each other they both end up working undercover with the cartel, plus they are both harbouring secrets. I don't know if it was because of the insta lust but even though we were told there is chemistry between Dylan and Brittany, I didn't feel it until near the end of the book.
I liked that there was a complexity and depth to the story but it lacked suspense. I felt some of the happenings related to the cartel and under cover operation weren't very realistic and felt forced. Also it was a bit disturbing with some of the flashbacks to the past that involve abuse and drug use, plus there is quite a lot of violence and profanity.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.

This story took off from the first page and kept me engaged all the way through Not only did you have suspense and dram but plenty of steam to keep me engaged A wonderful rad I would recommend to anyone

Brittany has a dark past and she travels through life alone working as a FBI agent Dylan is also an FBI agent a single father with a ex wife from Hell They first meet when they end up sharing a holiday house this leads to them sharing so much more but then they go their separate ways Only to find that they have been partnered together on the same case. With the attraction flaring between them can they solve the case and keep their hands off one another You will have to read to see
