I LOVED this book. Cowboy romances are one of my guilty pleasures.

I have read all the previous books in the series so i was failiar with the world that these people live in. Whilst it could be read as a standalone, i would highly reommend that you read the previous 4 books.

Marlee is a private investigator and her job is to find missing children. There have been a string of women murdered whilst pregnant, their babies cut out of them never to be seen again. Marlee has been chasing the people doing it for over 10 years, ever since her twin sister was one of the women murdered.

She comes to clearwater chasing down a lead and bumps into Cooper. A local cowboy. There is an instant attraction with these 2, and Cooper and his friends help Marlee track down the perpetrators.

Cracking read. Love them all. Jace next please Donna!

Wow, so good!!! This series just keeps getting better and better as it goes. I was stunned & saddened by the storyline, it was shocking to learn of the depraved depths that people would go to, to get a child. Marlee was such a strong character & her determination to reunite as many kidnapped babies & children as possible with their families was admirable. The fact that her twin sister had been murdered for her baby was the catalyst that set Marlee on the path that led her to Cooper. Marlee’s investigations led her to Cooper’s best friend Brice & Naomi & their newly adopted son. Believing that the baby might be the kidnapped infant she was searching for she tries to use Cooper for information but ends up with a dead end. Anger at the thought of infants being ripped from their mother’s bodies brings Cooper, Jace, Brice & the rest of the family into the picture to help. With Cooper’s military background as well as Jace & everyone else’s they start their search for the people involved. I was truly surprised when we found out who was involved & how close to Marlee & her family they were. This book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Well done author Donna Grant.

And another one bites the dust! I love seeing all these honorable men finding the love of their lives. Every hero in this series has shown us what great men they are, and how they are all willing to help anyone who needs it. The fact they they are all Texas cowboys is just icing on the cake.

This was a bit of love at first site for Cooper which made me like his story more. I just love when a man just knows what he wants and goes for it. Marlee was way more hesitant but you can't blame her when all she sees is the worst in humanity through her job.

As always, the whole gang came together when the going got tough and proved why a great group of people they are. There were a few answers left unsolved so I really hope the author has plans to close them up in the next book. I've got my own ideas with how she could do that so I will be patiently waiting for the next book. Please let it be Jace's turn!

'Looking for a Cowboy' has an opening that hooked me right in with a tension that didn't let up throughout the book. This story is about nice people who are caught up in an unimaginable world of horror and heartbreak. It was gripping from start to finish, with a hint that Marlee's search wouldn't end and we could look forward to much more. I skillfully skipped over the graphic sex in order to otherwise completely enjoy this spectacular story. I'm looking forward to hearing more about the people of Clearview, Texas.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Looking For A Cowboy is a spectacular romantic suspense by Donna Grant. Ms. Grant has penned a book that is well-written and will have you clinging to the edge of your seat. Her crowning glory in this book though is the characters. These characters will make you smile, grit your teeth in anger and may milk your little tear ducts. When Marlee's pregnant sister was murdered and her unborn baby kidnapped, Marlee quits her job as a cop and starts her own investigation firm to return stolen babies to their parents. Cooper is at loose ends since leaving the military, since money is not a problem he spends his time helping his friends. Cooper and Marlee's story is packed with drama, humor, spice, action and suspense. I loved every page of this book and look forward to my next book by Donna Grant. Looking For A Cowboy is book 5 of the Heart of Texas Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Looking for a Cowboy is a love story with a thriller mystery in the backdrop as the lead character Marnie is an ex cop turned personal investigator.

It is a not completely focussed on the love story and I found the story, characters interesting, engrossing and refreshing.

Friendship, mystery, love, and a brave, crime fighting sleuth— this book has it all. The main character has spent her whole career fighting to save stolen babies, so it’s hard not to fall for this uptight edgy character in search of solving her sisters’ case. After showing up in a community with a tight-knit group of friends, she explores and starts closing in on the criminals. With such a great ending, this book will appeal to anyone wanting a happily ever after story.

Marlee Frampton PI is in search for justice.
She's looking for the justice her sister didn't find.
She is looking for a baby boy that was taken from his mother before she is murdered.
Cooper Owens looks out for his friends.
Good chemistry between Marlee and Cooper.

Marlee was a police officer until the murder of her sister when she decided she could do more good as a PI. Ten years after the murder she arrives in Texas searching for another stolen child. This brings her to Cooper with whom she has an immediate impact. They join forces and have to protect each other. A very gripping story.

Marlee was a police officer a decade ago, but tragedy changed course of her job. Now she is PI, dedicated to find stolen babies. This bring her to Clearview, where she meets Cooper. He promised to help her, even if his friends will loose their newly adopted baby.
Someone else is looking at Marlee, that person, will make sure, she never finds people responsible for stealing babies.

I loved this story, from the first to the last page.

Marlee is a P.I. and her last clue has brought her to Clearview Texas. It doesn’t take long and she has Cooper and the whole gang helping her. The story is full of murder, suspense and romance. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time reading this book. I can’t wait for the next one.

Each character in the story are likable. I really enjoyed the romance between the two main characters, Cooper and Marlee. Marlee use to be on the police force but when her own sister gets murdered and her baby stolen, Marlee changes her career path. She becomes a private investigator searching for missing/kidnapped infants. Cooper is a ex marine who helps Marlee solve the mystery of the missing infants. Just the perfect amount of romance.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read and review this book for my honest opinion. All opinions are my own.
*This is part of a series but I feel it can be read as a stand alone.

This series just keeps getting better...Donna Grant’s fifth book in the Heart of Texas series, Looking for a Cowboy, ramps up the suspense and intrigue factor by delving into a topic that is unfathomable by most individuals. The story builds momentum to the point it didn’t seem like I could turn the pages fast enough...the characters, who I’ve built an emotional relationship with through the previous books in the series, come together to once again provide edge of your seat drama and suspense. Factor in the perfect amount of romance, and you have a story that’ll keep you reading until the explosive ending.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

This book starts out with a more intense scene than previous books in the series, but it worked to get my attention. Marlee the PI believes Naomi and Brice have received a stolen baby, and works to reunite the baby to its biological parent. Meanwhile, her attraction to Cooper is instantaneous and reciprocated. As Marlee realizes Naomi and Brice are innocent, the Easts and Harpers, along with their friends, work to help Marlee investigate who is behind the murders and kidnappings. There are some tense moments, and definitely steamy moments, making for a good read. Now we just need Jace's story next!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

**I received a copy of Looking for a Cowboy from St. Martins Press and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions are mine alone and not solicited**

Looking for a Cowboy by Donna Grant is the fifth book in her Heart of Texas series. This is Cooper Owens and Marlee Frampton's story has premise is illegal adoption of infants without the mothers consent. This has a slow build up to a climatic end where it will lead to a surprise person behind the adoption ring who is a familiar person to her.

Marlee Frampton's life changed with the death of her sister and her premature niece so taken. So she dedicates her life to find her and the other babies who were stolen. She meets Cooper when a lead to a stolen infant brings her to Clearview , TX and Brice and Naomi's new son. It will bring all former H/h together from previous books to solve several recent murders and stolen infants until finally leading to not only a betrayal from her friend but how deep the the ring and stolen babies go even to a government agency.

Cooper Owen loves to help his family and friends when the need arises with his savvy mother invests money he decides to help the town. He never expects to fall for Marlee or help her with her quest to find not only her niece but all the others who were taken from their mothers. Will he be able to give his life when the King pins start to fall and will he finally tell Marlee how much she means to him?

Hopefully the next book will be Jace's as there's a story that needs to be told about him. This book is worth all 5 Stars and more.

This book is the first I’ve read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though it is book 5 in the Heart of Texas series, I had no problems following along. Marlee and Cooper’s story just pulled me in from the very beginning. My heart broke for all Marlee had endured, but I was in awe of her determination to bring her sister’s murder to justice. Ten years ago, Marlee was a cop but after her twin’s murder and her baby taken from her womb, she realized she could do more as a private investigator. She made it her mission to find kidnapped babies and those responsible. Years have gone by and she has done a lot of good, but it has taken a toll on her physically and emotionally, but she does not wane from her mission. Her latest investigation leads her to Clearview, Texas and to Brice and Naomi Harper and her extended family and friends. Even though she is positive she had found the kidnapped boy of one of her clients, things get a bit muddled the more time she spends investigating, especially Cooper Owens. As for Cooper himself, he was fascinated with Marlee from the very first sight, something about her drew her to him.

I was a bit leery going into their story because I knew the secrets Marlee was keeping, but I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. Once Cooper found out why Marlee was in town, he and his friends were all on board with Marlee’s mission. The storyline definitely keeps you on your toes, it is fast paced and at times nail biting. The chemistry between Marlee and Cooper is intense and you definitely root for their happily ever after.

Overall, Looking for a Cowboy was a really great read, I am actually very interested in reading the previous books in this series.

Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. All opinions are my own.
