These covers are probably my favorite covers I own!
Namesake is the second installment of Fable and it was super fun to read and enjoyed it a lot! I loved all the characters and it was filled with adventure and romance. I’d read anything by Adrienne Young. Thank you again for my early copy.

I liked Fable but I LOVED Namesake. I loved all the politics and subterfuge in this one, and the backstory of Fable's family really added to the story.

Thank you netgalley for an e-arc of this book.

I love Adrienne Young's writing. I find that she is able to weave a captivating story that makes it so easy for me to imagine everything and cheer for the characters.

This book was everything I wanted after finishing Fable and I want to reread the both of them right now. I am hoping that there is a book about Saint in the future!

Namesake was the most perfect ending to this amazing duology. I absolutely loved Fable, but this book really blew me away.

We're left with Fable being kidnapped at the end of Fable, finding out that Clove is alive and has been working with Saints rival. BUT the plot thickens and its SO good.

I have been a huge fan Adrienne Young's writing ever since I read Sky in the Deep so when I saw Fable I knew I had to read it and I couldn't wait for the sequel, Namesake, to come out. I was definitely not disappointed with either book. I love how she doesn't point out what type of book it is, because clearly this is a 'pirate' type book just like she didn't just come out and say Sky in the Deep was a 'viking' book.

I loved all the plot twists and learning more about Fable's mother and the talents she passed down to Fable. I enjoyed all the characters and the parts they played in getting Fable everything she deserved at the end.

I will honestly read anything Adrienne Young writes. I can't wait to see what story she comes up with next.

Thank you, NetGalley and Wednesday Books for this arc in return for an honest review.

Thanks to Netgalley for an e-arc of this book. Full disclosure - I also have the hardcover as well because I just love the author that much.

You might notice there's not a star rating here. That's because, while I did want to send feedback, I did not read this book. I did not read it because I am just not a fan of sea stories. I didn't realize it until I attempted to read Fable. So I would like to send my apologizes and hope that you do not hold it against me. I will not be posting this review to Goodreads. I still thank you for making the book available and will be reading from this author in the future.

This is my jam. Right up my alley. My cup of tea.
Every cliché is true about how perfectly this book includes all my favorite things. Even though I didn’t think it was possible, I loved it more than the first book.
While still having plenty of seafaring adventure, Namesake delved into the characters and relationships introduced in Fable.
While I’m disappointed it’s only a duology, it also had a fantastic ending. I’m sure I’ll be rereading the books many times!

Adrienne Young is truly a gifted queen. I love and adore her writing. I could read anything she writes for the rest of time. I loved the next piece and everything it contains. If you're a fan of her work, you'll love it too. I can't wait for her next one!

5/5 Stars

Great follow up to Fable. Can’t say much without being spoilery. Definitely pick it up if you’ve read Fable.

Thank you to the Publisher and Netgalley for the advanced e-reader copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

A solid follow-up to FABLE. While I have not enjoyed these books as much as I did Young's SKY IN THE DEEP, there's no denying that she has a talent for created grounded fictional worlds with characters that feel "lived in" -- they've been there since before we started reading and they'll continue with their lives long after we turn the last page and close the cover.

This was such a fun read and i enjoyed a lot of this book.

One reason i took off one star was because the romance was really just not for me. I really didnt like that for most of this book Fable and West are at odds and still dont trust each other. Honestly my favorite part of this book was when she was in bastian and finding out about her grandmother and where her mom came from. I really wanted her to stay with her grandma and become a fully fledged gem sage! Alas, that didnt happen, and while i really did enjoy how everything played out, again, i thought it could have done without the romance.

I would still highly recommend this fun quic duology.

I was so excited to finally read this book and it was just as amazing as Fable. I felt so invested in these characters and felt all the struggles they had in this story. Fable has quickly become one of my absolute favorite female characters and I loved her journey to learning more about herself and her history.

One of the best books I’ve read in a long time. Perfect sequel of Fable I can’t recommend this series enough one of my all time favorites

This is a great sequel to Fable. Really well paced and just as exciting as book one. Adrienne Young has a way of making you fall in love with characters incredibly quickly, and it's impossible to put down any of her books once you get started.

Fable's story continues!

I definitely enjoyed this read - though maybe not quite as much as the first one? That's no fault of the authors, I just have a sensitivity to "harder relationships" (yes, I love the first love flutters but don't like the second book slumps) and this book had some...darker aspects. I don't want to give too much away and the ending was perfection, but I didn't weather as easily through parts of this due to the relationship between Fable and West.

I did enjoy the adventurous aspects to it and the new territory covered as Fable set off on a daring journey. I also enjoyed the characters, though they also had some dark times to deal with.

All in all, a lovely wrap-up to the duology and a pirate book for the ages!

My rating: 4*

Thank you Wednesday Book for gifting me an e-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved Namesake just as much as I loved Fable. It was expertly plotted and well-paced and the descriptions of the sea, the Marigold were so well-done, I was fully immersed in the story. I cannot wait for the spin-off of this series!

I really enjoyed this book! I thought it was a great follow up to Fanle. While I think it could have been a trilogy, I was satisfied with the ending.

This is the second book in the "Fable" series. Fable and her shipmates are free from her father's control of the ship. However, they get roped into another ruse that they must get themselves out of and in the process she learns about her mother. Conclusion to the duology and is excellent.

This was a decent conclusion to the story started in Fable. It's a quick read and a satisfying end to the duology.

I think I’ve learned that this author’s writing style is just not for me. I’ve read a few of her books and I’m always left wanting more, a little bit of deeper characterization or stakes that feel higher and more important.

Filled with action, emotion, and lyrical writing, New York Times bestselling author Adrienne Young returns with Namesake, the final book in the captivating Fable duology.

In Namesake, you get to see all the characters grow is such a perfect way. The descriptions are beautiful, and I loved diving below the sea with Fable again. In this book, we follow Fable as she tries to find her way back to the Marigold through new alliances as well as old and new enemies, but we don’t know who will come through to help her. I didn’t want this book to end
