🚠 Welcome back to Moose Springs, Alaska. In this third book of the series, Easton Lockett, a mountain guide that looks like a Dothraki but has the heart of the BFG, meets River Lane, a former Hollywood actress who is trying to film a documentary about Moose Springs. What do they have in common? Immense and immeasurable love for climbing.

♥️ I liked:
😁 It's hilarious. As in The tourist trap and in Mistletoe and Mr Right, I literally found myself laughing out loud while reading the book. The first meeting between Easton and River, the torture barn, the jokes on the white fluffy towels at Easton's place... all these scenes made me smile.
❤️ The love for climbing. I've never climbed in my life, but I love mountains, hiking and being surrounded by nature. Sport has always been a big part of my life, so I totally get Easton and River's love for climbing. It introduced me to a world I didn't know at all, a dangerous but highly rewarding world.
🗻 Life on the edge. This is when the book gets serious. Easton is a mountain guide, he climbs for a living. Every time he leaves for a new trip, he's not sure whether he'll come back or not. This made me think. I also loved Easton's routine: before each climb, he goes to see his friends and family, Ash tries to convince him to stop climbing, and he never listens.
😍 The scenery. The descriptions were so lively that I could picture Mount Veil in my head. It must be amazing to be able to climb so high and be a spectator of Mother Nature's force and power.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5 4 stars only because Mistletoe and Mr Right is still my favourite book of the series! Anyway, I enjoyed this book so much, that I stayed up all night to finish it. I really really really hope there is going to be a 4th book! Thanks to #netgalley and @sourcebookscasa for the ARC. And congratulations to the author for yet another incredible book.

Thank you to @sourcebookscasa and @sourcebooks for an advanced reader copy and the opportunity to review this book.

This book was a gem and exactly what I needed to get me out of the post holiday slump. So often the first quarter hits with books that have Spring and Summer as the backdrop. As refreshing as this can be, sometimes I’m just not ready to let go of Winter.

The main characters River Lane and Easton Lockett take you on a cozy adventure in the picturesque small town of Moose Springs, Alaska. This is the third book in the series and I was able to jump right in despite having not read the preceding books.

I absolutely loved the departure from the typical “big city” contemporary fiction. With wilderness as the backdrop and witty banter turned romance - this read left me feeling warm and craving an outdoors adventure with my husband.

We were lucky enough to visit Alaska last year: Anchorage, Glacier Bay, Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan - the whole nine yards. The entire time I was reading this my only regret was that I didn’t have it with me on my trip! The author’s details of the beautiful terrain took me right back and served as a perfect compliment to River and Easton’s story.

This is the third book in the series and I was able to jump right in despite having not read the preceding books. Of course, I have now added the others in the series to my growing TBR 😉

All in all, if you’re looking for a feel good book that will make you feel joyful and snug - this one is for you. ❄️🌲🏔

This is the third in the Moose Springs, Alaska series and honestly, I’ve loved them all so far.

River Lane is an actress in Hollywood, but as she approaches the big 3-0 she’s finding the good roles are dwindling. So she tries her hand at producing and accepts a job making a documentary for the Alaskan Tourism Board to try and increase visitors. She ropes in two of her friends and off they go. The problem is, no-one in Moose Springs will talk to them…or give them a permit to film. They decide to try and film outside the actual town, including on Mount Veil, the fifteen-thousand-foot mountain outside of town, but they need a guide to take them. Enter Easton—or SH (Sexy Hagrid) as they end up nicknaming him. He’s huge, sexy, and a man of very few words. And he does not like tourists.

Almost immediately River and. Easton realize they have chemistry, despite finding each other irritating. I would have liked a little more build-up and banter between the two but they all but admit they’re going to hook up at some point soon from about the second time they talk. This is a closed-door romance though, so there will be lots of interruptions every time they’re about to kiss, and then ultimately you won’t get any steam when things do finally happen. The chemistry between the two for at least the first half of the book is why it lost a point from me, I just didn’t buy it. There didn’t seem to be any lead up really, other than they each thought the other one was hot, and then suddenly they’re in love? It was refreshing to read a romance about two people who were at least closer to thirty than twenty though. I get so frustrated with the life choices of twenty-somethings in books, lol.

There were parts of this book though where I felt like the author was speaking directly to me. Her descriptions of what it feels like to be on top of a mountain like that, how you gain perspective, feel humbled but also feel capable of anything, all at once. I’ve felt those feelings, those emotions. They’re the reason I’d drive up to Rocky Mountain National Park every chance I got when we lived in Colorado, and why I loved every minute of my last, insane Alaska trip and wouldn’t trade it for anything, despite coming face-to-face with death more than once. I’m curious to hear from others, who maybe don’t have mountains in their blood the way I do, if they were as moved as I was reading those parts of the book—because I was right there on the side of the cliff with them the whole way.

Also, I can’t talk about this book without mentioning the adorable marmot love triangle. You heard me. Marmot. Love. Triangle. An adorable fluffball falls in love with Easton and starts following them up the mountain. Plus she gets all ticked off whenever River comes near him and has little Marmot tantrums, which I was 100% here for.

I really, really hope the next book is about Easton’s sister Ash. She is a hot, grumpy, bad-ass, tattooed helicopter pilot that I would absolutely read a book about!

Easton Lockett, the gentle giant of few words meets River Lane, the movie star turned director, on the side of the road.
She wants to climb a mountain for the documentary. He wants to guide her and her team up and off the mountain safely.
With passions of climbing and love of mountainous views, both start to share pieces of each other until they're wholly enamored. Will love conquer the dangers of the mountain only to peak and plummet?

Writing Style 5 Stars
This book was super easy to read. Especially being the third book of the series, I was used to the author's writing quirks. Although, I was expecting one writing quirk that i noticed in the other two books that didn't make it in this one! I was looking and anticipating it, but it NEVER showed up!!
"I didn't not like it"

Plot 5 Stars!
The climb was..... ahhhh, kept me at the edge of my seat! It was definitely adventurous and very immersive. I looked up ice wall climbing because they made it sound so fun!

Character Likability 4 Stars
AHHHH! River got on my neeeerrrrvvvveeess! This woman is independent, yes, but super reckless! It was so hard reading when she was just so thoughtless putting everyone on the climb in jeopardy! I yelled a couple of times. As a mom, she gave me palpitations!!
Easton, on the other hand, was what made this book sooooo WOW! From his slow motion hair flipping, his relationship with the marmot, to him "slipping her hand in his and stuffing them both inside his jacket pocket for warmth. SWOON! Oh Easton!

Smut/ Romance 3 Stars
The romance was so deep! the steam was there, but not too smutty! River had alot of horndog moments hahaha.

Overall 4 Stars
Not a full 5 stars for me because River's character just left a sour taste most of the read. And, being into smut, I wanted more! But if you're not into smut, this was just perfect.
ALSO, I want another Moose Springs, Alaska book! I want to know what else happens to Graham and Zooey, Rick and Lana, What happened to Ash??
I'm definitely going to pick up a PHYSICAL COPY of this booooook!

Take one Hollywood star, trying to realign her career as a documentarian. Add one Alaskan mountain man with a total inability to say no. Put them on top of 14,000 feet of ice, rock, and danger. It’s a recipe for disaster...or romance, natch.

Romcoms, like any other genre, need stakes that *feel* important and intense, even if it's a subject or conflict that could seem objectively trivial from the outside. Well, the stakes in Enjoy the View are high - 14,000 feet high, in fact. This is literally life or death stuff here, and the question isn’t so much “will they get together?” as it is “will they survive long enough to get together?” But despite the dramatic obstacles standing in the way of River and Easton's happily-ever-after, the banter is quick and quirky, the chemistry is utterly swoon-worthy, and the result is a fun, fast-paced, highly enjoyable romcom that’s definitely as close as I’m ever going to get to climbing up a mountain.

I haven’t read the previous two books in Morgenthaler’s Moose Springs, Alaska, series, and as is typical for romance series, this reads as a stand-alone, but for those who are already fans, there’s plenty of appearances of characters and references to the events of previous stories in this quirky little town. And Enjoy the View was adorable and warm and heartfelt enough that I’ll absolutely be checking out the first two after this!

Cute and warm, like a cup of hot chocolate! Tended to be quite cheesy at times, and the dialogue isn’t anything to fangirl over. It’s a great, easy read for those that want to cozy up with a book on a trip! For me personally, I wish there had been more depth, more of an inner struggle. I also wasn’t a huge fan over the romantic interest and their chemistry tended to seem quite dry.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Happy Pub Day to Enjoy The View by Sarah Morgenthaler! This is the third book in the Moose Springs series.

Another book that immersed me in a romance taking place in the state of Alaska. This was an exciting read, and the climb kept the plot moving along nicely. It is full of heart pounding adventure. River and Easton are a good match, intellectually and skills-wise, and they have great chemistry. I also enjoyed the secondary characters. I did not read the first two but I was easily able to follow along with this one. If you want a fun and charming romcom, I recommend this one.

Synopsis: River Lane's acting career is tanking fast but determined to start fresh behind the camera, she agrees to film a documentary about the picturesque small town of Moose Springs, Alaska. Enter the gentle giant, Easton Lockett, who quickly falls for River. When bad weather strikes, putting everyone at risk, it'll take all of Easton's skill to get them back home safely and convince River she should stay in his arms for good.

4.5 stars

Thanks to Sourcebooks Casa for the digital arc of this title.

Enjoy the View by Sarah Morgenthaler is another brilliant edition to the Moose Springs, Alaska series. This one differs a little from the rest of the series in that it probably isn't quite as funny. But if you love reading about the outdoors, and in particular mountaineering, this is the book for you. I also think this book would easily stand alone.

The book centers around River Lane, an actress who decides to try her hand on the other side of the camera by directing a documentary about Moose Springs. For those familiar with the series, Moose Springs does not like tourists at all. So River finds herself stymied by the whole town. So she changes the focus of the documentary from the town to climbing a nearby peak, and hires Easton as her guide. Easton is big, gruff, Jason Mamoa resembling, mountain guide. And boy does he have his hands full with River and her crew.

So what really made this novel shine for me was the expedition up the mountain. I was just riveted. I can't even imagine backpacking up to 14,000 much less in sub zero temperatures. And as is the norm with Sarah Morgenthaler, there are some great animal encounters as well.

I took off half a star because the ending felt a little rushed. It in no way affected my enjoyment of the book, it just didn't quite measure up to the rest of the story for me.

I am going to use this space to beg Sarah and Sourcebooks Casa to please, please, please give Ash a book. Pretty please!

Getting an advanced reading copy of this book felt like a dream come true! Returning to Moose Springs felt like coming home! If you haven't read a Sarah Morgenthaler novel, please do! This is the third in her Moose Springs series. I was asked recently by a member of my book club, if these books need to be read in order; while the books could be read as stand-alone books, reading them out of order, would give you some pretty big spoilers about the other two books.

This book, like her others does NOT disappoint. While I've enjoyed all the books, what I didn't expect was how much I missed Moose Springs and its curmudgeonly townsfolk who hate tourists…but do they? Each of her novels has followed a local and a tourist and their interactions. This novel kicks off following Easton, who is a background character in her first two books. Within the first chapter, we get some insights on how our previous Moose Springs lovebirds are doing. What I think is particularly rare about Sarah Morgenthaler is her ability to write about this character across all three books placing a magnifying glass on new characters in each one and showing them in a new light. I don’t think I ever could have guessed this one would focus on Easton, but gosh am I glad it does.

Easton is minding his business in his truck, driving down the road, when he sees a woman dragging her suitcase. Raised right, of course, Easton offers the woman assistance, but to his surprise, this red-headed spitfire is anything but charmed, in fact she’s quite irritated by his offer. Easton is soon caught in this newcomer’s quest to film a documentary about Moose Springs to increase tourism. River is an actress turned producer who is having zero luck getting her documentary filmed, but once she meets Easton her hopes to get things done and prove herself in the industry reignite.

Unlike her previous novels, Enjoy the View is more suspenseful. Easton leads climbers to Veil, “The Old Man” and the descriptions are far from a frolic in the park. The scenes on the mountain are tense, filled with so many unknowns, and quick light-hearted moments that turn reckless. I found myself turning the pages so quickly needing to find out how their climb would go.

Sarah Morgenthaler left me feeling blissful as I read this novel, despite having bitten my nails. ::tisk tisk::. Prior to reading the book, I kept seeing people talk about a marmot and let me tell you, it’s worth the mystery. The little fellow makes his appearance and I found it endearing. Morgenthaler has a playfulness in her novels that is rare. Her love for animals is evident throughout this series and noticeable in this installment with the marmot, grizzly bears, and a fascinating game called UniMagP.

From fun, to tense, to heart thumping, and finally to heartwarming, this book is worth the read! Venture to Moose Springs, you won’t regret it!

This is the third book in Sarah Morgenthaler's romance series set in Moose Springs, Alaska. Each novel focuses on a different couple and you do get to meet characters from previous books in each subsequent one. For example, in Enjoy the View, we get to see Graham and Zoye a bit more, the couple from book 1.

Enjoy the view is the story of Easton, the "sexy Hagrid" of a mountaineer. Easton pulls over on the highway when he spots a woman walking on the shoulder lugging a huge suitcase. Since she is walking in the middle of nowhere, he stops to inquire if he can be of help. He quickly learns that she was far from lost. River is a Hollywood actress turned a documentary director who is there to shoot a film about Moose Springs and all its attractions. If you read the first two books, you know that the town residents are far from being enamored with tourists so the last thing they want is a film crew working on publicizing their two even further. Needless to say, River and her colleagues do not feel welcomed. Instead of filming in town, the crew decides to go up Mount Veil and get some shots of the nature and wild life that way. Easton is the mountaineer who will be taking them up.

I really liked this couple. Easton and River are immediately attracted to each other and their flirtation and easy banter will put a smile on your face. I also really liked the idea of a mountain climb. It does take a while for the book to actually get to them climbing. I do think these books are getting better and if Sarah Morgenthaler keeps writing them, I will definitely keep reading them.

Out of the three books in this series, I think I appreciated Enjoy the View the best. The novel follows River, a film director who has traveled to Moose Springs, Alaska to film a documentary. It also follows Easton, who was a well known character from the other novels. Easton is best friends with Graham and is a mountaineer for a living.

Since the natives of the village are not allowing River and her team to film in town, they are forced to think outside the box. River unknowingly books a backpacking excursion up Mount Veil with Easton as their tour guide.

The novel caries the same charm of the first two Moose Spring books. I loved all of the beautiful depictions of the Alaskan wilderness. And I loooved the building relationship between River and Easton. They share such a fun banter throughout the book. I liked that the chapters were shorter than previous novels because it made the book seem more manageable in smaller chunks.

This was a great series to read in the wintertime. Thank you to @netgalley for the advanced copy.

This book made me love Moose Springs again. I had loved the first, but then really didn’t enjoy the second. This book brought back the charm. I liked River & Easton as a couple and enjoyed the ending.

I absolutely love the setting that Sarah uses in this series - Alaska is like it's own other character and Enjoy the View is no exception. This was a 3.5 star for me. It was so close to a 4 star and I wanted it to be so badly!

River Lane is a down on her luck actress who is looking to be taken more seriously in the business. Unfortunately, when she gets to Moose Springs to produce and direct a tourism documentary, she is met with the classic grumpy Moose Springs residents and no one wants her and her team there. River meets Easton who takes an instant liking to her and agrees to guide them up Mount Veil. A sweet love story unfolds and Easton was just so sweet. This is definitely one of those quick lust to love stories so there's a little bit of suspending disbelief at how quickly they fall in love (especially under such stressful circumstances as climbing a 14 foot mountain), but it is easy to go along with. This is a decent romance to continue the series and great for folx who like closed door sex scenes.

I have read all three books in this series so far, and this is a tough one to rate. I definitely enjoyed it more than the second book, but not more than the first book. I didn't believe the romance in the second book and had the same feeling with this book.

River is not so easy to like as a heroine. I wanted to like her, and she grew on me more at the end, but it was tough. Now, Easton...I loved everything about him. I truly didn't see what he saw in River, besides her obvious beauty. She wasn't all that nice. She had an agenda with being able to film in Moose Springs and was doing all she could to make it happen.

It was nice seeing Graham and Zoey again, but their scenes were limited. A good portion of the book takes place up on the mountain where some serious stuff happens. I guess I was looking for more of the lighthearted feel, too.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for an advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review.

I really do enjoy this series and the setting- Moose Springs is just sooo cute and we got back side characters of Ash, Jake, Zoey, Graham. For most of this story we head up into the mountains- but River meets Easton while trying to film her documentary on the side of the road but he just had to stop to help. You can tell there is chemistry from that point on. The hiking/mountain will be too much for some people and you will want to slap a couple of them. But I understood the need to summit and I have only done smaller ones not covered in ice. The marmot is just super cute and love how Sarah always adds in super funny animal parts into this series.

Its very very closed door so be there for that. I can't wait to see who is next for this series and like I said before I wish this place was real!

Charming, refreshing, and light!

Enjoy the View is a tender, amusing tale that takes us back to Moose Springs, Alaska and into the lives of documentary filmmaker River Lane and broody mountaineer Easton Lockett as they navigate a treacherous mountain climb, a potentially tragic accident, a four-legged, furry friend with a serious crush, and an underlying simmering attraction that may be the only thing that keeps them warm on a few cold, blustery nights.

The writing is cute and funny. The characters are stubborn, impulsive, and dependable. And the plot is a heartwarming, humorous mix of life, love, family, friendship, small-town living, adventurous endeavours, dangerous mishaps, romance, and a lovelorn, adorable marmot.

Enjoy the View is the third title in a series that, for me, just keeps getting better and better. It’s a sweet, sincere, steamy tale by Morgenthaler that in my opinion shouldn’t be missed.

I don’t know what it is about this series - I’ve liked all of the books enough to keep on reading them, and to continue on with the series, but none of them have blown me away. They’ve all been 3-3.5 stars for me. I think they’re can be the perfect read - if you’re in the mood for them.

Things I loved:
-Easton - the sexy mountain man carried the story on his broad, muscly shoulders. Thank goodness he was the main character in this one
-loved returning to Moose Springs, although I would have loved even more appearances from the old gang. The setting is absolute perfection

Things that weren’t my favourite:
-the writing felt repetitive
-the climbing adventures were interesting at the start, but also got repetitive

3.5⭐️ If you liked the others in this series, this is pretty on par with those and you’ll enjoy this one too!

Thanks to Source Books for the gifted copy to review!

I absolutely love the Moose Springs series. I was so excited for the opportunity to read Enjoy the View, part three of this series early on @netgalley. Enjoy the View tells the story of Easton Lockett, the best friend of Graham from the original Tourist Attraction. I was excited to read about cold Alaska on a chilly weekend in January!

Easton is a true mountain man and works in his family’s adventure tour company. He is also a stand up man who helps anyone who needs assistance. Easton meets River and her crew who are in town trying to film a tourism video for Moose Springs, but the residents aren’t keen on letting this happen. River hires Easton’s company to take them mountain climbing up Mount Veil to film there.

This book is drastically different than the other two books and for me personally, not for the better. It’s so much more serious than the previous stories. It’s missing many of the quirky small town jokes of Moose Springs. So much of the story is told while they are on the mountain. We miss all the fun of the town while they are gone. There’s very few callbacks to previous details. Jake the dog is barely mentioned and Ulysses (or any other moose) are not mentioned at all. There is some lighter moments with a marmot on the mountain, but this wasn’t the same as Ulysses to me. Lastly, I just couldn’t get over my dislike of River. I hoped she would grow on me, but I really turned on her when she forced Easton to go back up the mountain to “summit” after her crew gets hurt and Easton repeatedly tells her it’s not a good idea.

I still love this series and I hope there’s more to come. But I hope it’s more like the first two than this one. Give us more Jake and Growly bears!

This was hands down my favorite book out of the Moose Springs series. I’ve been waiting for Easton to be in the spotlight because he’s just such a lovable character in the others. And MAN did he steal my heart. I was getting some MAJOR Jason Momoa vibes throughout the entire book and I’m not mad about it at all. River was definitely my spirit animal. Her attitude, drive, & stubbornness reminds me so much of myself. I went through ALL of the emotions reading this one. It made me laugh, made me nervous, and made me cry (yeah, yeah I know. I cry a lot). I found myself so invested in Easton & River’s relationship and rooted for them throughout the entire book.

Ugh, I hate to say this but I am so disappointed that I did not enjoy this romance book more.
I do not know if it was me but I just could not get into it. It was taking too slow for my taste. Like I enjoy reading slow-burning romance stories but if it is done right. If not, then you are just dragging the story on which was happening in Enjoy the View.
I really felt that there should have been more depth and attraction between Easton and River especially in her case. River has a lot of growing up to do when she starts this new project. Nothing is ever easy when you start something new and out of your comfort zone. Like what River expected when she shows up to a new town and they do not like you. It takes time and effort, and River seems too immature to gasp that. And do not get me started on chemistry with Gaston and River. They need a little depth in their relationship in my opinion. Something was missing.
