The Moose Spring series is an enjoyable fun read. I loved this one about Easton and River. A sweet rom-com novel about a climb up a mountain, about a documentary, about a journey to find happiness in life. Easton is a lifer in Moose Springs and finds happiness showing tourists how to climb Mount Veil. Easton is full of adventure and charm and easy on the eyes. River is a Hollywood darling who is looking to produce and back her first movie about Moose Springs. She finds that Moose Springs isn't all that welcoming to tourists. A sweet charming romance that brought a smile to my face. If you liked The Tourist Attraction and Mistletoe and Mr. Right you'll love this one. Try a trip to Moose Springs you might like it! I absolutely adore this series and was so happy to hear that Sarah Morgenthaler wrote another in the Moose Springs series. (Though it also totally works as a stand-alone book.) I think the characters in this one are by far my favorite, especially Easton. The characters were fun and realistic in a way that kept me interested and rooting for them throughout the book, even if one is a Hollywood starlet. The witty quips between the two main characters and their adorable meet-cute completely make this book swoonworthy. Also, who knew I’d like the mountain climbing parts of the book so much? It was a great romcom overall.

This was a cute little winter rom com! I've come to really enjoy Sarah Morgenthaler and her books. They are light hearted, uplifting, and will make you laugh. Enjoy the View is probably my favorite that I've read of her's so far, and I'm looking forward to reading more by her in the future. LOVED! I absolutely adored this series and have been waiting anxiously for Eastons story and let me tell you, it was amazing! This was nothing like the previous two books, in that it focused more on the two main characters rather than on the town itself. I absolutely loved that we got to experience Mt.Veil and get a look into Eastons world.

The chemistry between these two characters was explosive! Right from their first hilarious meeting right up until the end, I found myself hooked. I loved that they complimented each other so perfectly and that their banter and snark only added to the tension of will they or wont they. I loved the little side romance between Ben and Bree. But really the real star was the cute mamot that had a crush on Easton.

I would highly recommend reading this entire series, you will instantly fall in love with this cute small town and all the quirky residents. I loved getting to see Graham and Zoey again and I really hope that we will get Ash's book next.

Sarah Morgenthaler has me convinced that it’s time to move to Alaska. I knew that this book was going to be good because I was looking forward to hearing Easton‘s story from earlier books. River Lane and Easton Lockett are by far my favourite Moose Springs couple. I admired River’s tenacity, even when it got tad annoying and repetitive. However, her personality is by far one of the most dynamic parts of this book. Her drive to prove herself as more than the beloved actress but as a director and producer has her facing challenges that she didn’t think she would have to face. I appreciate the fact that this book is sweet and steamy, while being a closed door romance. There’s nothing missing! This book has more plot than just romance and there’s a lot of personal discoveries and friendships that are vital to the narrative. Overall I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to most people!

This is another one of those moments where I haven't read the other books in the series yet, but I will because this was so cute!

I have never read a romance set in the mountains before, it was so fascinating! I got to learn a lot about the journey of adventuring up a mountain and the dangers of it! Even though It was so dangerous, it did cause many adorable bonding scenes that I am definitely NOT complaining about 😂

This was such a sweet romance. I was smiling the whole time while reading! I definitely needed a cute rom-com that wasn't full of big conflicts, and this was that!

When Easton Lockett stopped to help the woman walking along the side of the road pulling a suitcase behind her, he had no idea that his life would never be the same. As an experienced mountaineer and guide, brother to Ashton, and best friend to proprietor of the Tourist Trap/mayor Graham, he knows where he stands. But meeting this woman, who jumps into his truck reluctantly and immediately starts talking to herself and taking some of her layers of clothes off, he is so thrown off balance that he calls for reinforcements. Specifically, he calls his friend and the local police officer Jonah, in case her form of crazy is dangerous.

But as he drives her up the road a little, he discovers who she was trying to talk to, her film crew Jessie and Bree. They are trying to make a film encouraging travel to Alaska, but they can’t get the permits they need to film in Moose Springs, so they’re working around the city to try to keep filming. River Lane is an actress turned filmmaker, and she brought her two best work friends with her to make this documentary about Alaska. But she only has so much of a budget to work with, so time is of the essence. She needs to get those permits to start filming in the city, or she needs another idea.

Easton is torn. As a lifelong resident of Moose Springs, he understands the way the locals feel about tourists. They don’t want them to feel welcome there, but the income they bring to the town helps a lot of places stay in business, including Easton. Without tourists, he doesn’t have anyone to guide up Denali or Mount Veil. And if these filmmakers are able to make and release their documentary, it’s possible that Moose Springs could be flooded with tourists. Easton doesn’t want to betray his friends and help the filmmakers.

But River just keeps getting under his skin.

When he gets hired to take River and her crew up Mount Veil, Easton isn’t surprised. Getting kicked out of the town, there are only so many other options for their film. But Mount Veil isn’t for beginners. It’s a serious mountain to climb, and he’s not so sure that he can get them all to the summit. But then River smiles at him, and he knows he has to try.

The climb starts out easy enough, once the film crew has met all of Easton’s exacting standards. They take a helicopter to their starting point, and get ready for the climb. River is a natural and has climbed more than her share of rock walls (and anything else she could find), so Easton doesn’t have to keep too close an eye on her. Jessie and Bree are less experienced, but they start out strong. Each day they make some progress, get some great shots for the documentary, and watch as the marmot who has been following them falls a little deeper in love with Easton.

But as the team goes higher on the mountain, and the filmmakers take more risks to get their film made, Easton gets more worried about the safety of the entire team. And as they get higher on the mountain, Easton’s and River’s feelings for each other grow deeper and more obvious, much to the marmot’s chagrin. As Easton’s warm feelings for River gets mixed in with his irritation at the risks they’re taking and his determination to keep them all in one piece until they get back off Mount Veil, will he be able to guide them all to the summit they so desperately want to film and back down to safety? Or will his new love affair be cut short by a tragic accident, or just by River’s disappointment at not being able to make it to the summit?

Enjoy the View is the third in the charming series of Moose Springs books by Sarah Morgenthaler. Each of these books (The Tourist Trap, Mistletoe and Mr. Right, and Enjoy the View) work as stand-alone rom coms, showing the life and love of one character of the small Alaskan town, but reading them all is a well-earned vacation to a bewitching small town filled with friends and family who support each other and pull together no matter what.

I have loved each of these books, from Graham’s delightful diner to Rick’s pool hall to Easton and his mountain. But Enjoy the View shows a side of the town and the landscape that are only a side story to the other books. Getting a chance to see Mount Veil from a climb is a completely new perspective, and the story line about making the film added an extra tension that kept the pages turning. I loved the slow burn between Easton and River, as they kept their heads while the fell in love with each other, making smart choices (usually), especially when their lives depended on it. I was hoping for more moose (it is Moose Springs, after all), but the addition of the lovesick marmot made for a wonderful addition.

If you’re looking for an irresistible read that combines adventure travel with humor, warmth, and romance, then you will enjoy Enjoy the View, for certain! It’s a keeper.

Easton is definitely Jason Mamoa. From his long flowing locks in a man bun to his burly muscles, he fits this inner marshmallow Dothraki image to a T. And River is the adventurous, fearless girl he clearly needs.
The relationship took a bit of a backseat to the climb adventure featuring a cute, five-stage clinger marmot. The marmot definitely brought in some light moments showcasing Easton's humor and teddy bear qualities.
While this wasn't my favorite of the three books - the second half is great! - it's always fun to head back to Moose Springs. I love those cranky tourist-haters.

Because actress River Lane needs a career boost, she agrees to help film a tourist documentary film in Moose Springs, Alaska, a picturesque town at the foothills of Mount Veil. The locals are quirky and not always friendly to her. One day while filming, River runs into surly local mountain guide Easton Lockett. He literally is rolling his eyes at her but tolerates her sassiness anyway. Easton is a burly guy who resembles a big teddy bear with his bushy beard. Once River and Easton, along with their crew of his assistant mountain guide and her two fellow filmmakers, start the ascent of Mount Evil, the trip brings them together over the next few days. The higher they climb, the harder it becomes. Early on, the group encounters a marmot, which implicitly attaches itself to Easton. It is like the marmot has a crush on him, even to go so far as sleep with him in his tent. Easton is both piqued and amused by the animal’s behavior. As Easton and River’s relationship—which has bordered on a love-hate one—turns into attraction, the marmot grows jealous of River. Yes, ENJOY THE VIEW has its light-hearted moments, but it soon turns into suspense as they grow closer to the top of the mountain. Danger will be lurking.

ENJOY THE VIEW features the love-hate relationship between Easton and River. She has had past success as a popular actress, but as her fame waned, it’s time to redirect it somewhere else. Producing and filming a documentary as they’re climbing to the top of Mount View is exhilarating for River and her crew. For Easton, he puts up with them, mainly because the documentary is authorized by the Alaska Tourism Board and it will help bring more tourists to Moose Springs, a town that badly needs them. River might be a bit annoying, but she’s a beautiful annoyance.

The third book in the Moose Springs, Alaska series by Sarah Morgenthaler, ENJOY THE VIEW will tickle your fancy and give a thrill as you hang—literally—on the side of the mountain with River and Easton. Their love builds slowly, as it starts out argumentative, soon builds into respect and friendship, and then love. Not since Robyn Carr’s Virgin River series have I been so completely enamored with a fictional town. But Sarah Morgenthaler’s town of Moose Springs, Alaska has me wanting to pack up and move there...not that I’d be welcome! 🤣

Actress River Lane’s shine in Hollywood has started to dull, but she has a plan to extend her career by moving behind the camera. When she’s hired by the Alaskan Tourism Board to make a film about Moose Springs, it’s (hopefully) the break she needs to make a name for herself. Except not a single person in town is willing to help River’s efforts. When she hears an offhand comment that other things in the area are more worth filming, it sends River and her crew in a different direction.

Straight up to the top of a mountain.

Easton Lockett doesn’t like tourists in his town as much as the next person, but they are how he makes his money. When he finds out he’s been hired by the visiting film crew to lead them on a difficult excursion up Mount Veil, he’s not sure what to think. Except River and her crew are capable climbers and the trek ends up being more enjoyable than he expected. But the mountain - and mother nature - are formidable forces that sometimes you can only survive, not conquer.

Enjoy the View was one charming, heck of a wild ride! Easton and River’s first exchanges were combative and hilarious, and watching them come to respect and love each other was utterly delightful. Nothing makes me happier than a couple’s relationship that develops in an organic way. With teasing and tiptoeing around each other that created a chemistry-infused longing where you just can’t wait for them to share their first kiss, this was romance story perfection! Throw in a heart-pounding, thrilling, suspense-packed hike on a mountain (that I could swear I was on with them) and I had a hard time putting this book down.

My fervent wish for 2021 is that there will be more Moose Springs, Alaska books. Every single book in this series has been laugh-out-loud funny with a heaping side of sweet, swoony romance. And I loved them!

(FYI - the Moose Springs audiobooks are also FANTASTIC and I can’t wait to listen to Enjoy the View!)

And once again Sarah delivered an adorable, witty, romcom. Enjoy the View is the third instalment in the moose springs series.

After reading, Mistletoe & Mr.Right (the second book) I just fell in love with this little Alaskan town of Moose Springs and all its lovable characters. I have to say I didn’t enjoyed this one as much as the second, as I found it a little slower, especially the first half - it was quite technical with ample amount of description that hindered my enjoyment. Though it lack here, her characters made up for it.

Just as I loved Lana & Rick, here we met River; a Hollywood actress, who wants a different career path & Easton; the “mountain” man. I just loved these two. Their relationship is just so heartwarming, that it’s impossible not to love them. When River is asked to do a documentary in Moose Springs, by the tourism industry, she can’t turn it down. This is when the story starts to pick up, especially because sparks being to fly between her and Easton. And the mountain comes alive.

Also, what’s not to love about adorable animals, mr marmot 😍 Here’s to hoping that the series does not end here.

Happy Book Birthday to Enjoy the View by Sarah Morgenthaler! This is the third book in the Moose Springs, Alaska series. I read the first two books during an accidental Alaska-phase late last year and was so excited to receive an ARC of this one; special thanks to @SourcebooksCasa and Netgalley!

Enjoy the View follows quiet and loyal mountaineer Easton (who is a mountain of a man, yum) and Hollywood starlet turned director/producer, River (major girl-crush), as they climb Mt. Vail for a documentary project River is working on (swipe for a full-synoposis). This book is a standalone and could be read without reading the other two first, but I do recommend meeting the whole Moose Springs crew before tackling this one for full appreciation.

This is easily my favorite of this series. I absolutely adored The Tourist Attraction and enjoyed the continuation of the story in Mistletoe and Mr. Right (Christmas books are my favorite), but this one will live in my heart rent-free forever. There is something about getting to know Easton and seeing him so well paired with River that just really worked for me. Easton is so at home on the mountain and is just a natural at caring for people. River has something to prove to Hollywood and to herself, and isn't intimidated by Easton and all that he brings to the table; it's just a great set-up. Throw in some high-stakes mountain adventures (I really got nervous a few times), a love-struck marmot and some swoony moments and Morgenthaler has hit this one out of the park.

In case you couldn't guess by my raving, I gave this one ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and the book contains minor steam.

I love Easton! I have been wanting his story since we first met him. He is grumpy and I love that. River is his perfect partner. She is sassy and brings out the best in Easton. The chemistry between Easton and River was so perfect. They were different in so many ways but I feel like in the end that's what made them so perfect for each other.

I love Moose Springs. I love the small town setting. I love the characters and the banter and I want more! I highly recommend this series if you are in the mood for a light, funny book with the absolute BEST characters!

River is an "aging" actress (at 30) trying to move into directing/producing by taking a Alaskan tourism board project. Though Moose Springs is not a very willing subject. They will not approve any permits or allow any footage anywhere. We already know from our first two visits to Moose Springs that more tourists is the last thing they want.
Easton met River on the side of the road and somehow got locked into helping her. I wouldn't say it was love at first sight but River has a man eating personality and she definitely made this huge grumpy man blush.
Since the town would not allow any filming they decided on a climb up Mt. Veil which is a 14,000 ft climb. So in hiring a company, it happened to be outsourced to Easton's fathers company and they got Easton as a tour guide. The town is against Easton helping and he can't seem to say no to her since she would do it with or without him.
This was an adventurous climb through the wilderness, treacherous ice and glacial conditions to get an amazing documentary to renew and revitalize her career and life.
Ok I cried on that mountain, you scared me! These two strong people falling for eachother was just what I needed this week. I love when two people have the same interest, connect and find each other right when they need each other.
Plus, big men and beards! Now I need to find some white fluffy towels for my house! ;)

These books have been great comfort reads for me. I equivalent it to having a cup of cocoa; it gives me a bit of cheer and warmth. I think what keeps drawing me back is the characters themselves. I really like seeing all the individuals mentioned in the other books finding their person. I also keep coming back for the scenic descriptions - if I could visit Moose Springs and hang out at the tourist trap then go for a climb up the mountain, I honestly would.

All of that being said, I had a problem with that there seems to be a lot of repetition with some of the scenes taking place. I felt myself having to metaphorically drag my feet to get through some of the slower parts. I also found some of the dialogue between the main character’s a bit dry, which is why I’m giving it a 3.5 out of 5.

Overall while some things were lacking, I did enjoy reading this third instalment. And I’m looking forward to reading more from Sarah.

It should be easy, but the locals will not talk to her crew or help them. Determined to make this film no matter what, the crew hires a local guide to help them climb Mount Veil. Easton Lockett, Moose Springs local mountain climbing guide and instructor, is the perfect person to help River’s movie get made.
The only issue is Mount Veil itself— both unpredictable and wild, a million things could go wrong. Easton must ensure that the crew doesn’t fall off a cliff, gets the movie made, all the while not falling for his client, River Lane.

This is the third book in the Moose Springs series, and I swear they keep getting better and better! Each subsequent book is my favorite, but Enjoy The View really takes the cake!
I love all things hiking, camping, outdoor adventure, so it goes without saying I LOVED this book. I found the climbing portion of the book to be very intriguing and nerve-wracking, I could not stop reading.
I have loved Easton’s character since he was introduced in book one, but finally getting to know him better was such a treat. He’s my new favorite Moose Springs resident! He and River had such a fun, flirty, and sarcastic relationship. They complimented each other so well on and off the mountain.
Out of all three books, this would be the easiest to read as a stand-alone. It was both a sweet and thrilling romcom that I’d highly recommend.

TW: life threatening situations and accidents while mountain climbing.

So, I’ve been all over the place with the Moose Springs series. I loved this first book, it had ridiculously good banter and snark that gets me every time. The second book was ok, but honestly never really grabbed my attention. I even have a soso review for the 2nd one written that I never got around to posting. ( I listen to both on audio) so I was completely surprised to get a copy of the ARC for the 3rd book from Netgalley even though I didn’t request it. I’d put off reading it, mainly because the second book was a let down for me. Well, I’m sorry I waited so long to get into this one.

The snark and banter I enjoyed so much from the first book was back here. There were some fantastic one liners, and town hijinks that kept me turning the pages. I’ll be honest, I didn’t love River at first, but man did she sneak up and grow on you. Easton reminded me the slightest bit of Jonah from the Simple Wild as the quiet rugged outdoor Alaskan mountaineer. I loved the setup, and how the majority of the book took place around climbing Mt Veil. I love when a story immerses you into a world or hobby you might not otherwise experience. The way the world of climbing was woven into the story reminded me of how NASA is woven into Sara Hudson’s Space series. I have no idea how accurate it was, but loved feeling like I was getting a crash course in mountaineering. Also- as much as I love the mountains/hiking I’m 💯 sure I’m never doing a multi day summit hike. I’m good maxing out at 7-15 miles, and 1-2k of elevation change.

My only complaint, I would have loved more 🔥🔥🔥, because the chemistry between River and Easton was there. But understandably it’s not really practical to have a lot of action in tents in sub zero weather.

I was beyond excited to get my hands on an early copy of the third installment in the Moose Springs series. I read the first two books in December and liked them, but I read Enjoy the View and LOVED it!

In this story, we follow a character we’ve seen in the past two books, Easton Lockett. The “gentle giant” as I see him, helps a woman on the side of the road, an actress who is trying to be a producer, River Lane. River is shooting a documentary on Moose Springs (and as we know, the people of Moose Springs will try everything they can to prevent River from filming) and Easton helps her along the way. He is then stuck as River’s guide up a large mountain, Mount Veil, where Easton and River fall for one another. Between saving lives, hypothermia and sexual tension, this book takes the cake as an adorable, romantic story.

This was my favorite Moose Springs book hands down. I LOVED this story of a quiet Easton falling for an extremely strong willed woman and vice versa. It was so well-written, the story felt well-paced and I honestly couldn’t put it down. I’m not one to always pick up romance novels, but as you know I’m a sucker for cute love stories and Enjoy the View blew me away with how well crafted their story was. If you can, snag this book, you won’t be sorry!

My thoughts...
This is book three of the Moose Springs series and it was just as fun as the first two. Though, I have to say that the first one was what got me to continue the series (and a bunch of enablers from the #poochesandpages group that made this a #bookstagrammademedoit 😁). However, this might be my fave so far because I love climbing. I used to do a lot of outdoor climbing when I was younger, and so I could totally place myself where they were (though I’m not big on winter climbing). I appreciated how Easton’s job was thoughtfully portrayed: since there maybe a time he wouldn’t come back from a climb. There were such beautiful descriptions of the scenery that I was itching to go climb a mountain. The book was such a fun, quick read and what has stood out so far is not the romance in each book, but the strength of friendships! It re-ignited my passion for climbing.

Despite being on the young side of 30 River Lane’s acting career is in trouble. Enough that she has talked two of her friends into heading out to Moose Springs to take her first step behind the camera producing a tourism documentary for the area. What she doesn’t bargain for is a town full of people who don’t want any more tourists in their small town. The permits she signed up for? They go missing. None of the locals will be interviewed for the production and she’s been kicked out of every restaurant in the area. Desperate, she and her team are left filming on the side of the road when she meets mountaineer Easton Lockett. He’s quiet, taciturn, and helplessly attracted to the vivacious River. When she suggests turning their tourism doc into a documentary about climbing their local mountain Mount Vail, it’s Easton who she turns to to get them up the mountain.

This series started off so strong with Graham and Zoey in The Tourist Attraction. I was charmed by the characters and the town, so when I read the second novel, Mistletoe and Mr. Right I had pretty high expectations. I did get a solid rom-com but I felt like their was something missing in my leading man and lady. Not in Enjoy the View. I had always been curious about Easton. He was a quiet guy in the background to both of the main characters in the first two novels. I didn’t know that I would love him so much. It helped that River was sassy, irreverent, and just as attracted to Easton as he was to her. Even more, she was the underdog in this story and just so easy to root for!

The friendships that drew me to love the first novel was a huge part of the attraction in Enjoy the View but surprisingly it was River’s two friends Jessie and Bree who were her biggest support group and also happily led her down the road to silliness. The three of them together were fun and showed how true friendships work. I love when there’s a good girl gang, and even though Jessie was a guy, he’s totally in the girl group in this novel. Easton too had a those friends who were so devastatingly fun in the first couple of novels. Those friends helped the reader see the man beneath the beard and his true nature which was gentle, fun, and loyal. An all around great guy. Of course, that broad chest and build helped elevate that attraction.

The thing I loved most about this story was that River, a woman who seemed to have it all, was really finding herself in Moose Springs, Alaska. In climbing her way to the top of this mountain, she falls in love, but she also learns a lot about herself and who she wants to continue to be. That self revelation is thought provoking, charming, and in the midst of a dangerous climb up a mountain, exhilarating. That she did it with Easton at her side was the frosting on the cake.
