Book four has Charley suffering from some major trauma from the events of the last book and honestly, who could blame her. Still, she manages to finally get out of the house and back into trouble. She has to solve a case, deal with her friends and family who are worried about her, fight off some wily demons, and of course deal with Reyes. Oh, and did I mention Artemis? I LOVE this dog. It may have something to do with the fact that I grew up with Rottweilers but she has quickly become a favorite of mine. Can I steal her?

I have slowly made my way through all the books in this series and decided to review as a whole. These are amazing. Funny, smart with characters to love. They have made a believer out of me that PNR can be for me!!!

Our intrepid hero, the Grim Reaper herself, Charley Davidson, is having a really bad time. After being attacked and tortured at the end of the last book, Charley is afraid to leave her house. Her friends and family are trying to pull her out of this, and luckily, a case comes along that convinces her to get out among the living again (you see what I did there?).. A young woman comes to her asking for help because she thinks someone is trying to murder her. She has been terrorized most of her life and everyone else, especially her family, feel like she's crazy and is imagining things, and Charley can definitely relate to that. So, she sets out to save this young woman's life, and perhaps save herself a bit, too.

As usual, Darynda Jones has written a compelling book full of romance, intrigue, humor, and adventure. Throw in Reyes, Cookie, Amber, Gemma, etc., and you can't lose! And did I mention Mr. Sexy himself, Reyes? Yeah, he deserves to be listed twice. And sarcasm? Because there's tons of that as well!

I enjoyed this book very much and highly recommend it. I look forward to moving on to book 5!!

5/5 stars.

*** I would like to thank NetGalley, St. Martin's Press, and Darynda Jones for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Charley has hit rock bottom here and Cookie is determined to bring her back to herself. She decides that invoicing Reyes for the help she gave him ought to hold her over for a while, but it of course doesn't go well and she now has demons hunting for her light and attacking at every turn. She now has bit off more than she can chew and it's quite a roller coaster of a ride. More of her close confidantes are learning that she's a bit more than she seems.

I love this series and pretty much anything Darynda Jones writes. Charley is an amazing heroine and Reyes.. whew Reyes... Charley's new client Harper is convinced someone is trying to kill her but everyone thinks she is just looking for attention.. This book was a fun ride and very enjoyable. The character building in this series is amazing and they make you want to hang out with them all the time.

I could not get this version to download properly on any device I owned. I tried for about a month before I finally gave up.

I started this series and read the first 8 books back to back. I love this author and these characters. The world building and storyline are so good and well developed!

What a fascinating book. I was impressed by the storyline and the characters were all well written and complex. Where there are complex storylines combined with intriguing characters the reader experience is magnified tremendously. To have a book that is well written as well as entertaining is a delight. Reading is about escaping your world and entering another one. The word building was phenomenal in this book. Here I forgot about my own life and was immersed in the world created by the author. I would recommend this book.

Charley Davidson is a riot and I can't seem to get enough of her. But this time there was something that was a little off in the connection. I loved the story but was not completely over the moon with it. On to the next one.

What a welcome return to this brilliant series !

Charley , the Grim Reaper , is still reeling from her torture and near death by Earl Walker and the fact that her lover Reyes used her as bait . And to top it all her Father, desperate to stop her P.I. career has her arrested in her hospital bed .
Not coping well with all the betrayals she spends her days in her apartment watching the shopping channel - buying items she does not need, boxes everywhere she will soon be unable to turn round .
An intervention is led by her best friend , Cookie along with Amber , Gemma and Uncle Ubie
- it works and she goes back to the office . An interesting case comes in - Harper Lowell is convinced she is being stalked and someone wants her dead . Others think she is insane but not Charley - she is convinced all is not as it seems and takes the case .
Meanwhile since leaving prison Reyes has been despatching demons back to their realms in an effort to protect Charley - making it very difficult for Charley to retain her 'mad on ' .

The Author manages to bring together another book full of wit (laugh out loud moments ) , fast paced action full of twist and turns , along with a romance for the ages . I look forward to reading more from this Author in the future .

I was given an arc of the book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

#4 in the series might be the last for me. I thought the 3rd was bad, but this installment was even more ridiculous. I think the author lost her element of surprise at this point. I know there are many many more in this series, but not sure how a recovery can be made. Just not for me.

"Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet" is another good one in this series. I enjoyed reading it, it was a bit more humourous than I thought it would be. It's definitely another good addition to the series.

This series is incredible! It has action, romance/seduction and so much wittiness and sarcastic banter, it’s just so fun to read! I think this is my favorite so far!

I love the whole series. I've read and listened to the series multiple times. Charley is appreciatively grumpy and snarky. I, too, have an appreciation for coffee and enchiladas. And sarcasm. (General Review for series books 1-12)

I requested all the books in the series when they were available, but decided not to continue past book 3. I will not be reviewing this book.

Great book! The storyline was very entertaining. I laughed so hard in several places. It definitely held my interest from the first page until the last.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor.

Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet is the fourth book in the Charley Davidson series. This can be read as a standalone, though personally I think you should read the books in order written so you fully understand the storyline. There is violence and sex. I really enjoy this series. It is the perfect mix of paranormal and romance.
