Thank you NetGalley and Teri Wilson. This was a cute read. I’m sad I read it after I stumbled upon the movie while recording all things on Lifetime during the holiday season. The book was so good and I loved the premise. All the fun and happy Christmas love!

I'm not sure if this book has been made into a Hallmark movie, or if it is planned to be, but if it is, I will definitely watch it. Ashley loves working at the upscale jewelry store in Manhattan, and is hoping to get engaged in Paris over Christmas. When she finds out that her boyfriend doesn't want to get married in the near future, she realizes that she has been wasting her time and really is not in love with him. She decides to head home for Christmas, her first Christmas in Owl Lake for many years. On the train home, she meets Betty and admires her vintage charm bracelet. When she arrives in Owl Lake, she awakens and realizes that she has the bracelet and Betty is nowhere to be seen. She puts it on for safekeeping, and now can't get it off. As the story progresses, each of the charms on the bracelet represents a wish she has made throughout her life, and the wishes appear to be coming true.

This was a sweet Christmas story about wishes, dreams and following them. Ashley realizes how much she misses her small home town and all the people and customs there, especially her high school sweetheart Aiden. Teri Wilson has written a delightful read, with wonderful characters, and a sense of family and community. The setting of a winter wonderland in this small town added so much to the magic of the story. The plot was well-paced, and kept me interested until the end. The characters were also likable and people that I would love to know. This book is a second chance romance, but also a story about discovering what is really important to you in life and following your heart to fulfill your dreams.

A wonderful Christmas story filled with the joy and glory of the season.
Ashley’s Christmas plans have suddenly changed. She will not be spending the holiday in Paris with her boyfriend and there won’t be an engagement ring on her finger. She decides to leave her boyfriend and Manhattan and boards a train home to Owl Lake, On her ride home, she admires a vintage charm bracelet on a woman’s wrist. The bracelet is given to Ashley with the request that she will wear it and with a wish for the Christmas of her dreams. This lovely gift from Betty is filled with beautiful charms representing life’s special moments. Ashley soon wonders, is Betty right? Do dreams come true? Is there magic in this bracelet? Will I have a second chance at love?
The warmth of the holiday season, the wonderfully depicted characters and the comforts of a small town fill the pages of this heartfelt novel. Get comfortable, make a cup of tea and enjoy your visit to Owl Lake.
My thanks to NetGalley, Hallmark Publishing and Teri Wilson for an ARC in exchange for an honest book review.

During the months of November and December I devour as many Christmas themed books as I can. Reading Christmas Charms by Teri Wilson served up a perfect mix of romance, magic, and holiday spirit for my holiday themed reading palate. Ashley returns to her home town of Owl Lake after her trip to Paris with her boyfriend is cancelled. While on the train, she is gifted an antique charm bracelet which she soon discovers must have magical powers. She soon discovers that the charms on her bracelet are replicating things happening in her real life and the perfect Christmas that she imagined as a child might actually be unfolding right before her eyes.

I love reading holiday books set in quaint little towns filled with holiday spirit. Although some parts of this book seemed a little fantastical to be true, I didn't mind. It was fun to think that the events in this book could really happen. This book filled me with happiness during an otherwise stressful year. I am grateful that Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley gifted me with a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts expressed in this review are my honest opinions of the book.

A feel-good book for the Christmas holiday! I loved the simplicity of the writing and the first person angle taken. The plot was magical but down-to-earth. Overall, I recommend this read!

This is my second Teri Wilson book and she never fails to deliver a warm hug that you can nestle up with a hot cup of cocoa, tea, or coffee and read. You cannot help but fall in love with the characters as you quietly (or not so quietly) stand rooting for them in the sidelines. The addition of Fruitcake in this book packed on an extra layer of holiday charm for me being an avid dog lover.

I had been saving this book to read on Christmas day and I am so glad that I did. This story was a perfect, lighthearted way to help celebrate the Christmas Holiday.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for allowing me to read a copy of this book!

Who doesn't love a little Christmas magic? Ashley is living the life of her dreams, well at least she thinks she is. She is going on a dream vacation to Paris with her longtime boyfriend, and she thinks he is going to propose. Plans changed and she finds herself on a train back to her hometown. She pours her heart out to a fellow passenger and notices a gorgeous charm bracelet she is wearing. Ashley dozes off and wakes yup in her hometown wearing the charm bracelet with no explanation except to have the Christmas of her dreams.

This book was so cute, loved it!

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.

Favorite Quotes:

You should have dumped your pizza on his head and smeared the tomato sauce in his hair… He deserves way more than public humiliation by way of cheese.

Let me tell you, drawing things with frosting is a lot harder than it looks. My poor gingerbread firemen look like they’re wrestling yellow snakes instead of wielding fire hoses. Happy holidayssssssssssss.

I should probably stop getting enchanted by the idea of a perfect holiday date and concentrate on living in the real world. The last time I thought I was going to have the ultimate Christmas date, I ended up breaking up with my boyfriend of three years. I’m still haunted by the thought of mozzarella cheese.

My Review:

This was a whimsical, light, and pleasantly amusing holiday second chance romance featuring a magical charm bracelet, small-town rituals, and a chance meeting with a lovely woman who just may have been Mrs. Claus. I enjoyed the sweet Hallmark Christmas flavor, wry humor, and lovable characters. The Santa Skate was brilliant, I don’t know if that is a real thing or not, but it certainly should be if it isn’t, even though I have never strapped on a pair of ice skates in my entire life.

This book will go down as one of my favorite Christmas books! This is the first book I've read by Teri Wilson and I definitely would like to read more. It is well written, engaging, and the characters are very likable and relatable. This is a story of family, love, finding oneself, and of course, Christmas magic. The romantic storyline of Christmas magic is creative and endearing. I'd most definitely recommend this book to someone wanting to read a holiday book sprinkled with some romance and magic. I just can't say enough good about this book!!

Christmas Charms is a sweet and endearing story centered around Ashley James, a small-town girl with a passion for vintage jewelry and old movies, who is living in Manhattan. At the beginning of the story, we find her getting excited at the prospect of her boyfriend of the last three years, Jeremy, getting down on one knee and proposing to her. But she soon discovers that the match is not made in heaven, and she escapes back to her hometown of Owl Lake to mend her broken heart.

Yet magic is in the air, and a series of Christmas wishes start to come true. Could it just be that her love for high school sweetheart Aiden isn't as over as she thought it was?

If you enjoy Hallmark movies, you'll enjoy this story as well. I'm thankful to NetGalley and the publisher to have received an advanced review copy. I do hope that the many editorial issues (mostly missing words) I found while reading it were corrected in the final release of the book.

Christmas Charms is a delightful holiday tale by Teri Wilson. Ashley James left her small town of Owl Lake, New York, to study jewelry design, the. Found work with the major jewelry company of Windsor Fine Jewelry. While working in the charms department where Ashley helped customers design the charm bracelet of their dreams, she had little time for working on her own vintage designs. However, Ashley felt moving up in the company was her foothold to getting to her goals.

But Ashley is thinking of other lofty goals as she prepares for the Christmas of her dreams spent with boyfriend of three years in Paris. However, when Jeremy admits marriage is not on his mind the evening before they are set to leave, Ashley calls it quits, soon deciding to go home to Owl Lake for Christmas with her family.

On the train ride home, Ashley encounters a Mrs,Clause like lady named Betty and spills her story before a deep slumber. When Ashley awakens, she finds herself at her destination and Betty gone but the charm bracelet she had admired is in a special knitted stocking Betty left for her. Once Ashley puts the bracelet on so as not to lose it, she finds it impossible to remove. She also finds the charms coming to life as different encounters occur.

However, the most important occurrence is when she again encounters Aidan Flynn, now a firefighter but once her devoted boyfriend. It seems the more Ashley tries to leave Owl Lake to get back to Manhattan for a promotion interview, the more she is detained and ultimately returned to her parents’ home by Aidan, often in full fire brigade form.

This is a lovely holiday tale showing the effect of a magical bracelet that leads our heroine to follow her heart and true path. I loved the bit of mystique of the story and Ms. Wilson did a lovely job of weaving this plot. I did enjoy this book and I do recommend it!

What a wonderful holiday read! I wasn't even surprised when I realized at the end that the novel is published by Hallmark! Hallmark always comes in clutch at this time of year :) I loved the emphasis on following the heart. The adult life can be overly consuming when it comes to career and relationships, but this novel helped me realize that it's what I want in life that matters most. I also loved how this book took place in a small town; I am definitely a small-town girl. Truly enjoyed this book!

The story line of this book is really sweet and fun. I enjoyed all of it except it’s told in 1st person which I struggled with throughout the story. Overall a good read but I did struggle a bit with wrapping my mind around to the main character speaking the entire time.

Ashley works in a high scale jewelry store and is sure her boyfriend is planning to pop the question over Christmas on their trip to Paris to meet his family. When he doesn't she decides to return home for the holiday. While on the train she meets a woman and they talk about the woman's charm bracelet. When Ashley awakens at her stop the woman is gone but her charm bracelet is now in her possession. As life takes a crazy turn she discovers each charm on the bracelet is coming true. A wonderful light hearted Christmas romance. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Baby, it’s cold outside and I’m anxiously awaiting the snow to start falling this morning! In the meantime I think I’m going to fix my hubby’s favorite crockpot chili (I have a pretty delish recipe)! 🥘☃️
