Enjoyed this hallmark type book. Not my typical genre but I am very glad I found this. Such a sweet book.

Another sweet Christmas story to escape the stress and strife of life in a pandemic.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, so thank you for allowing me to preview it.

Thank you to Netgalley and Hallmark Publishing for the e-copy in exchange for review.
This book oozes Christmas magic and hopefulness. Just what I needed at this time. A light-hearted, positive, lovely book.
This is the story of Ashley, a girl who works in an upscale Manhattan Jewellery store and who thinks she is living the dream. But is she? This year for Christmas she is set to fly to Paris with her boyfriend Jeremy and she is hopeful for a Christmas proposal in Paris. What could be more romantic, right? As you might expect things do not go according to plan and she ends up on a train heading to her small home town of Owl Lake, the place she has not visited in eight years. A chance encounter on the train means she received a beautiful vintage charm bracelet and this sets in motion the events that will lead to a magical Christmas.
This book is the perfect Christmas read.

This was it full of holiday cheer and gave me all the warm fuzzies. It’s exactly like a Hallmark movie in book form and it had a touch of magical realism, which in a holiday book just always works well for me! Adored it so much, can Teri Wilson do any wrong?!

Once again Hallmark Publishing (via NetGalley) blow me away with a lovely holiday story. This one kept me on the edge of me seat until the very end. A wonderful read with good characters and important lessons tucked in there as well. The hints of magic throughout were whimsical and perfectly done too.

Christmas Charms is a delightful read! Perfect for retrospective reviews of one’s childhood dreams versus adult choices. The busyness of living adult city life, rushing from meeting one goal to the next is beautifully contrasted with the return to the familiar childhood traditions of rural hometown stability. The idea of jingling charms on a bracelet representing dreams of the past is a unique way to help the heroine remember and relive the joys of life surrounded by loved ones in her hometown. Her dreams are recalled and starkly different than the reality of the life she’s been living. A jilted romance jars her into the miraculous chance to rediscover the person she envisioned she’d be. This second chance novel is inspiring, reminding readers that life is too short to settle for less than exploring the possibility of making realistic dreams come true.

This is a cute little cozy book! I enjoyed the main character's background as a creative artist, who repurposes old jewelry into new pieces. I also really enjoyed the story once she leaves NYC and heads to her home town in the Adirondacks. Her home town is beautiful, and I loved her meeting an older lady on the train, with a beautiful charm bracelet that becomes the carrying premise of the novel.

What I struggled with: The opening of the novel, as she has been with her boyfriend for several years, who also works at the big jeweler (reminiscent of Tiffany's), but he seems to be so self-serving- UGH it was just gross. I was so proud of her for leaving and choosing to go home after so many years. I also struggled with the reality of her working at a charms counter at this fancy store, and being able to support herself. It was SO unrealistic. I also struggled to connect with a charm bracelet that was magic around Christmas.

Overall I loved her reconnection with her old, hometown boyfriend, that she'd apparently previously ditched 8 years before (again, a frustrating shallow point for the main character).

Wow! Thank you so much to Hallmark Publishing for sending me a copy of this book to read via Netgalley. This was the perfect Christmas book, filled with holiday charm. It was everything you expect in a Christmas book.

In this story we meet Ashley, a woman living in New York City who leads the seemingly perfect life. She has an awesome job working in one of the most exclusive jewelry stores in Manhattan. She has also been dating the perfect guy for about three years and is off to Paris with him for the holidays, where she is sure he is going to propose. When things do not go as planned and Ashley realizes she may have been wrong about him after all, she ends up heading home for the holiday to Owl Lake, a quaint and homey little town. On the way there she meets a woman on the train who ends up giving her a charm bracelet full of antique charms.

This doesn't appear to be any normal charm bracelet. Slowly, the charms seem to start foreshadowing events to come and magical things begin happening to Ashley. This is a book about family, love and second chances. It really makes you believe in the magic of Christmas. Sometimes all you need is the comfort of home and the love of family and friends. I loved the cozy setting of this one and the cute romance story. A perfect holiday read!

Thank you NetGalley, Teri Wilson and Hallmark Publishing for the book Christmas Charms. This is my personal review.
I loved everything about this book.
Ashley has a busy life working in the jewelry department of a busy store. She has plans to go to Paris with her boyfriend for Christmas and is so sure he is going propose. When things are not what they seem, Ashley breaks up with him and heads home to spend the holiday with her parents.
While home she sees things from a different point of view and how much being home has changed her mind about why she left in the first place.
The story is so full of warmth and the love of her family. The description of the town Owl Lake makes you feel like you have stepped into a place you could live. They town is full of friends who have missed Ashley. They wrap their arms around her and make her know she has been missed.
Grab a cup of cocoa and a warm blanket and curl up to spend time with Ashley. Fruitcake ( her dog you will absolutely love) and Aidan – her old boyfriend she left behind. You will be so glad you did.

💚 Review Time! 💚

This a cute read. Very much like a Hallmark movie which I expected as the publisher is Hallmark Publishing. It's quick, funny, romantic, and charming all in one. A great feel-good book to read any time of the year but especially Christmas time. Definitely recommend!

Ashley wants what every girl wants. Love that goes beyond time. After running into her high school sweetheart in the big city, she can't stop thinking about him and can't understand why. She's happily in a relationship with Jeremy and will be going to Paris with him over Christmas. After a misunderstanding that makes her rethink everything she heads back home to Owl Lake for Christmas and meets Betty, a woman who knows just what Ashely wants and gives her a charm bracelet. One by one the charm bracelet comes to life and it's not long before everything falls into place for Ashley.

This book was warm, charming, and a perfect read for anytime of year that you need to experience a little magic! Once I started this book I could not put it down.

I was instantly drawn to the main character Ashley. She was an every day kinda gal who worked at a jewelry store and enjpyes her job but didn't feel complete. I just wanted to root for through her story! After breaking up with her boyfriend, Ashley returned to her hometown to spend Christmas with her family. On the train home, Ashley met a sweet lady, Betty, who reminded her of Mrs. Claus. Betty gave Ashley a *magical* vintage charm bracelet. The charms had special meaning for Ashley during her visit home. While there, she repeatedly runs into her old boyfirend Aiden. They had a complicated history and what felt like unfinished business.

Christmas Charms was a sweet story that I really enjoyed. It was a bright pick-me-up book that made me smile.

Absolutely adored this story! The way the author describes New York at Christmas draws you in and Ashley is such a likeable character that you’re invested in her journey from the get-go. The perfect holiday read!

Christmas Charms follows Ashley, who works at an exclusive NYC jewellery store and plans to celebrate Christmas with her boyfriend in Paris... until they break up the night before their flight, that is. Instead, Ashley decides to head home to Owl Lake for the holidays, for the first time in years. On the train, she meets Betty, a Mrs Claus lookalike who happens to be wearing a vintage charm bracelet. When she wakes up in Owl Lake, that charm bracelet just so happens to be on Ashley's wrist and with every charming coming true in real life, it seems to have magical qualities too. Will Ashley finally get the perfect Christmas she dreamed up when she was six?

This book has all the qualities of a Hallmark movie (coincidentally it's published by Hallmark Publishing) - an idyllic snowy small town, a cute ex and a happy ever after, of course. While I love a cheesy romance or ten, I found I didn't love the writing style in Christmas Charms. It was a bit too repetitive and I wanted more showing than telling. Otherwise, it was a cute festive read.

Thank you to Hallmark Publishing and Net Galley for the opportunity to read "Christmas Charms".

I usually don't read Christmas stories before December, but this was the exception, and I'm glad I did it.
While reading this sweet story, I couldn't stop thinking: this would be a very nice Hallmark movie!
The combination of winter, the holidays, a small town, firefighters, wishes and dreams, family and a second chance romance work in a sweet and nice novel when you really want to go home and celebrate Christmas with your family (which won't possible for me this year).
Perfect reading along with hot chocolate, your piyamas and a cute dog by your side.

P.S. Follow Teri Wilson on Facebook, her pictures of Charm, her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, are just so cute!

Ashley finds herself single just before Christmas after thinking her boyfriend Jeremy was going to propose. Couple that with bumping into her high school sweetheart Aiden and Ashley is definitely feeling a bit off kilter. Deciding that Christmas at home with her family is just what she needs, she hops on a train and heads back to Owl Lake.

On her journey she meets a kind lady who she pours her heart out too, all her hopes and dreams and disappointments. After falling asleep she wakes to find the lady gone and an antique charm bracelet in her possession. Soon she realises that each silver charm predicts an event that happens in real life.

We follow Ashley as she tried to figure out what the bracelet is trying to tell her and what that will mean for her, Jeremy and Aiden. Will she end up with a perfect Christmas or will all she hopes for end up melting away.

This was a really sweet story, although if you like your stories on the realistic side then you may want to give this a miss. It is full of Christmas cheer and magic, and asks you to suspend your logic and give yourself over to the magic of the season and the thought that anything is possible.

I enjoy this book, more than I thought I would when I started it, and I definitely think it is a great book to start getting you in the mood for Christmas. The description of the locations were well written and it was easy to picture the environment and spirit of the places Ashley finds herself.

The characters were well developed and I liked the history of Aiden and Ashley and how that had impacted on how and where they were in their lives now. I thought the growing development of their relationship was well thought out and the emotion created towards the end of the book makes you really hope for a happy ending.

This book is such a great Christmas read if you love hallmark Christmas movies! During the Christmas season, I keep hallmark on 24/7. This book is a natural fit for me! What I loved about this book is it let me connect to the characters more than I do watching a hallmark movie because the book was written in first person. Within a few chapters, I was hocked and didn’t want to put it down. The twists and turns read stronger in the book over watching a hallmark movie! This definitely was perfect book for me! I want more!

Thank you Net Galley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my review!

In Christmas Charms, Ashley, who currently lives in NYC, returns home to Owl Lake for Christmas. On the way to Owl Lake Ashley meets a woman who gives her a bracelet that seems to be magical, giving Ashley the Christmas of her dreams.

This feel good holiday romance was the perfect read to get me in the holiday spirit. The story is well written and the storyline makes you want to live the Christmas of her dreams right along with Ashley. The characters are easily likable and Fruitcake the dog is adorable. I really enjoyed this trip to Owl Lake in this cute holiday romance. It’s definitely worth the time this holiday season!

Wow - what a delightful book! Although this is a Hallmark Christmas romance, it has its own twists and turns and remains unique from page one to the very end. I quickly fell in love with the main female character, Ashley, and enjoyed following her unexpected plans for the Christmas holidays with family and friends - with a sweet bit of romance included.
