I received this book on Netgalley in return for an honest review!
It is a nice and simple book about Little Rabbit and their birthday-party. We follow the whole apartment building and the daily work the people living there do, and one can find clues in the pictures. Personally I think this is cute, but I found it was lacking a more interesting theme. I wish there were more happening, or just more really fun pictures for pupils to look for in the different floors. Overall a decent and simple picture book tho!

This is a lovely picture book that your children will want to read over and over again. The strength of this children's book is the illustrations of life on 3 Maple Street. The illustrations are lively, fun, and cute. There is something new to see on each page, and children will find new stories and characters with each read through. The story about Little Rabbit's birthday is cute and does include many of the residents of 3 Maple Street, but the real fun is finding other characters (some fairy tale favorites!) and watching their story progress too. My children loved making up their own subplots for this book.

Are you throwing a birthday party?🥳🥳 Don't forget to invite all your neighborhood friends. After all what's a party without variety!
It's Little Rabbit's birthday🐇. And guess who is excited? All his apartment members! Packing of presents, decorations and wishes are spread from the top floor to the ground floor.

While your child has a soft mind that molds according to the things that he witness and the environment in which he lives in, it is too important to add into his reading lists the books that will have a positive impact upon his/her brain. Your House , My House will not only make your child comfortable with accepting people who are different from him, it will also make him find happiness in co-existing and sharing.💕

Its a cool neighborhood here. You do not have to bother your head in remembering the food chain; just get your heart into the book to see foxes coming over at the rabbit's place, and the mouse (along with others) helping the cat in shifting her furniture!

The book does not only show numerous different animals living together, it shows that living together is fun and convenient. If a hogshead, a fox, a rabbit, a bear, an owl, a mouse and a cat can live together, we humans can surely adjust with each other.

The absolute beauty of this book is in the pictures. There is so much going on in and around the homes, that is and isn't a part of the written story. The story itself is about little rabbit's birthday, but it also includes helping your neighbors and being part of a community. While little rabbit is celebrated the day doesn't revolve around him, which is a great lesson.

New events are happening on every floor of this apartment house, from a birthday party, a new baby, a blanket fort, and a long nap. My students love watching the day unfold in each part of the house and spotting familiar characters pop in and out of the scene. Second and third grade students can follow the colorful stories throughout the book, while younger children can appreciate the pictures and new surprises while listening to the main story.
Although the plot line itself is not terribly enthralling, the detailed pictures and relatable scenes keep children fascinated and curious every time a page is turned.

Your house, my house is an innovative book. There is the storyline within the text, but also subplots in the illustrations. Multiple animal families live in different units in a house. You can follow along with each family by the illustrations. It would be a lot of fun to get creative and imlrov the story as you read it. It would also be a great activity for kids to interpret their own stories as well.

Certainly a pleasant book, but not when you're trying to read it digitally – there is too much scrolling to and fro and zooming in for it to be fun. It's a very simple narrative, of a young rabbit and his birthday party – but there is so much else to be seen on the pages. We get a large format cutaway of a house, where – while the rabbits own most of the ground floor and the attic – many different animals live, including a poorly bear, a night owl, and some that are even moving in. So not only do we get the rabbit's day, we see clues to so much else that's happening. The attic spiders are busy, the hedgehogs are getting their place ready for a new arrival, and even the birds nesting in the tree outside have their story. Some secondary events even happen behind the house, and we see through the windows to the back some familiar characters from pantomime having a cameo appearance. The attention to detail, and the level of cooperative use of this book (it's hard to call it all reading when it will be pointing to, vocalising and discussing about a dozen small plots at once) are what will sell it. A great success, and a strong four stars.
