Oh! An Isekai! I'm really curious about Lizel and where he came from. He seems very composed and chill about this "vacation" but you know what, I'm not complaining, lol. Though I do have to wonder at what the plot will be. Is it just him in this world, adventuring and leveling up?

The story follows Lizel, a displaced nobleman, and Gil, an adventure who's been hired by Lizel. Lizel manages to convince Gil to set himself up as an adventure in the local guild and the first few chapters shows their progression in having Lizel perform basic adventuring jobs.
Along the way, the reader starts to realize that they know about as much about Gil as they know about Lizel, which is barely anything.

The concept is fresh and the first volume was interesting and definitely sets up for the reader wanting more. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys fantasy.

‘A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation, Volume 1’ by Misaki with art by Momochi and character design by Sando is a manga about an unusual traveler looking for adventure.

A strange traveler named Lizel is found wandering a city. The locals find him dressed as a nobleman. Lizel sees the city as similar to his own but different, and he wants to learn more, so he hires an adventurer named Gil to help him learn things and to also start out as an adventurer. Gil is suspicious and put out, but Lizel is clever.

I liked this story of a fish out of water who manages to figure out how to navigate a strange city. The art is good as is the character design. I wouldn’t mind reading more in the series.

My Thoughts 💭

■ Plot:
A noblemen named Lizel is suddenly teleported to a world where adventurers earn money by going on quests. He enlists the help of an adventurer name Gil and tries to become an adventurer himself.

This is an easy read with the chemistry between the two MCs being the focal point. To be honest, the gay innuendos really suckered me in and now I want to read volume two.

I'm relatively new to isekai manga, so I didn't have too many expectations one way or another going in, but I really enjoyed this volume. I was looking for some light-hearted fantasy slice-of-life and this book delivered that. The chemistry between the two lead dudes was fun (I ship them, even if it's not canon), and I liked the mini-quest/puzzle type adventures they went on together. The clerk is also endearing, and I'm kind of wondering whether and when the isekai aspect will be explained since there seems to be something slightly darker lurking beneath the surface.

Okay, When I read the blurb for this Graphic novel, I was really intruigued. Mysteriously coming to a city and not having any idea about how and why really sets the mood to the story at the start. It's a story of an adventure and a bit of romance that can warn your heart!

This book follows our two characters: Lizel, who has a very sunny and a happy personality with sass hidden underneath all of it, and Gil, who has a mysterious vibe to him but is such a cinnamon roll to be honest! They both had amazing chemistry and their interactions were super adorable.

I absolutely loved that art style and that colour scheme was absolutely stunning! I really love reading Manga for it's unique reading format, and this art just made it ao much more enjoyable! The story line was quite confusing at times and I didn't understand where the author was taking the story, but it was still such a funny and light read. I would have loved to read more about Lizel's Pov and his drastic change of environment. But I love Lizel and Gil together trying to become adventurous and fulfilling tasks. Overall, I absolutely had an amazing time reading the book and I can't wait to read the next volume!

Sadly my phone which I was using to read this book screen had broken and so sadly I couldn't finish the book because it was past the archive date and I couldn't download it onto a different device. I only got a chapter or so read but the storyline was hooking, I really wished I could of finished this book.

Trigger warnings for animal death.

This was a fun, light-hearted introduction to a new series and one that I could definitely see myself continuing.

The story follows Lizel who is transported to another world that's similar to his own, but with a few marked differences. He arrives in this new world dressed in his standard clothes, but the people of the new world think he's a noble and treat him with respect. He meets Gil, who offers his services as an adventurer, and they begin exploring the new world together.

I really liked the art style in this volume and enjoyed the interactions between Lizel and Gil as they got to know each other. Both characters are queer and I'm curious to see how their relationship develops in later volumes. This story definitely had magical quest vibes and I'd be interested to see if this remains episodic throughout the series or if an overarching quest-style plot develops.

Overall this was good fun and a gave us an easy introduction to the world via Lizel's perspective. I'd have liked to see more character development, but I imagine that will come in later volumes.

A quick, cute, and very enjoyable read. This is the first part of A Gentle Noble's Vacation Recommendation, in which we follow the adventures of our protagonist, who finds themselves in an alternate universe. And, of course, mishaps ensue. This was interesting enough to keep my attention, with an exciting adventure for the hero and matching illustrations that help spark your imagination. This is a good fit for manga enthusiasts.

This story is so interesting. I loves Lizel and Gil’s relationship! I’m a sucker for sweet friendships with gay innuendos. They’re so different from each other; Lizel is calm and composed and always very friendly, even when he’s attacking. Gil on the other hand, is moody and serious. The contrast worked so well. The characters gave me a mayor Black Butler vibe, which was awesome. The art is so beautiful I could stare at it all day. I simply loved it. Can’t wait for volume 2!

I love the world building, and the possibility of there being another dimension/alternative world. I love the magic and the protagonist is so whimsical, I love it. We didn't get to see much of Gil besides him doing his hired duties, so hopefully we get to see more of his story (his past, his desires, etc.).

I really enjoyed this first volume. I'm definitely going to keep my eye out for the rest of the series.

Ok this manga was a whole not cuter than I expected. I really enjoyed the art style and would love to continue with this story and the characters I give it 4/5 stars!

A Nobleman wakes up in a different world and becomes an Adventurer.

This manga was outside of my normal set of reading, and honestly it still isn't my thing. The plot is like playing an adventure game, but with out any stakes. It really felt like I was playing the tutorial to an RPG. That maybe be some people's thing, but it really wasn't mine. There is a hint of mystery of why the Nobleman woke up in this world and who is Gil really? But it was not enough of a mystery to capture my attention.

In this, you get chapters one to five with a bonus chapter. I could not really get into this, the character being followed then the two working together. I could really connect with the story fully.

Really cute, I'll absolutely continue reading. I'm not familiar with the light novel (although now I'm interested) but I think this will be a big hit with Americans familiar with dungeon crawling video games and Dungeons and Dragons (even if only through Critical role or The Adventure Zone). The adventure is light but more about interpersonal relationships and how charming Lizel is. I loved that there is pretty much no angst over how Lizel got to this mysterious world or how he can get back, he's just enjoying his time while he's here. That really keeps it a fun read.

I don't have much to say about this. Though my library tends to only buy the "incredibly popular" manga series, I think it was still a cute and pleasant read. The art style was nice and the story was enjoyable. I would continue with the series if more volumes are published.
