She believes herself to be in love with a navy captain, but he hardly notices her. When Grace fins herself in trouble, it is Captain Del Lord who comes to her rescue. Many think Del is dull, but he is reliable, loyal, patient, and defends Grace's honor. He falls for Grace immediately, but her heart is set to his rival and he agrees to help her gain some sailing skills to impress her love interest. Grace enjoys spending time with Del and considers him a friend, or is it something more? Grace has to come to terms of her feelings to both men. But Del will have to return to the seas soon and Grace needs to figure out where her heart truly lies.
