wow, I was pleasantly surprised to go into this book. It has been a while since I have read a book by Lisa, and I have enjoyed them but this one intrigued and kept me interested and I like that. We have secrets, but why. Aria is hiding who she really is, because she has to to save herself. Both are lying to each other and keeping things from one another but that does not diminish in the lease the heat that comes off of them..Can't wait to the next one.

Another exceptional series with Book 1, A Reckless Note from author Lisa Renee Jones.

This series revisits with favourite characters from previous books which I am absolutely loving. This is another book of intrigue. Aria Alard has lost much in her life, her Father when she was young, her Mother when she was in her late teens and now her brother Gio is missing. Secrets abound in her family and Aria has kept herself close as these secrets could be life or death for her.

Kace August is a brilliant violinist and upon meeting him, Aria finds herself out of her comfort zone as a relationship begins to develop. Feelings Aria has never experienced before start to emerge but just when she feels she may be able to reveal some of her secrets to Kace, Aria finds evidence that Kace is not who he makes out he is and she flees his home and his life, once again fearing for the life of her and her brother.

Once again you are embroiled in a story that includes every emotion imaginable, keeping you on the edge of your seat until the last word.

Lisa never disappoints me with her stories. The only issue I have is that sleep is required to keep reading! The details and twists that she puts into every story have me reading and rereading until I can visualize the scene. She does the same with her characters and interweaves them from other stories at times. The end result is a supremely written story with just enough steam, intrigue, and angst (yep) that you don’t mind so much . . . that this isn’t the conclusion of the tale. Kane and Aria make another great couple to add to the list!

Loved it. Sometimes when two people meet you can feel the resonance of that passion. Aria and Kace combined make a strong passionate connection as Aria searches for clues about her missing brother. She has always laid low and taken the simple route since her families gone into hiding from the world due to a famous violin recipe that became missing. Now she’s alone fighting to keep her wits about herself, and the walls are closing in.

What did I like? I can always look to this author for a sizzling connection with some mystery and intrigue. Not only is Kace a hot world renowned musician but she makes him into a lonely soul who seeks a connection with Aria. Aria is more difficult, more untrusting, and more distant due to her need to stay away from people looking for that violin recipe. Loved the story!

Would I recommend or buy! I loved it! Part two and three will be out soon and this does end in a cliffhanger but I devoured it. Author is known for trilogies, and I love that his story can’t be contained in one book.

Oh well, I just know LRJ will leave me gasping for breath. I thought Chris and Sara were my favorite book couples, Aria and Kace might give them a run for the title. Is it fabulous or not that the aforementioned couple are also in this book? Okay so, another intrigue. Where is Aria’s brother? Did Kace know who she is? Who is Aria and what happened to her family? I guess we have to wait for the answers. While waiting we get a delicious wooing of the heroine by a delish hero. He also happened to be a Violin rockstar. We all know how the later are. This is such a joy to read. Just so you know, and I don’t expect any less from this author..

This is book 1 in the brilliance trilogy.
I loved the cover this is what drew me to this book. Brilliant read. Great story. Some great characters. Im looking forward to reading the next one. 5*.

But she can't resist the allure of it, especially because Kace is very much a part of that world and he is a man who makes it impossible to turn away. Dark and delicious, he commands a room and commands her attention without a word. A violin rockstar, he's rich and famous... and he's still just a man. A man who wants what and who he wants and he most definitely wants Aria.

But again, Aria has secrets and while she knows she needs to reveal them to Kace before things go any deeper, she doesn't. And while he bares his soul, she gives him bits and pieces. Suddenly they're involved in a passionate affair and he wants her to be a part of every facet of his life. It's obvious that he trusts her. Now she needs to learn to trust him in return.

When some truths hit too close to home, what will Aria do? Well, based on the intriguing cliffhanger, I don't really have an idea. Aria acted just as I thought she would and I can only hope that she steps up more as a heroine. I'm a bit disappointed in her and I'm desperate for that to change. Considering the fact that the story is being told from her perspective, I expected some growth from her and maybe that will be something that will be seen in the books to come. Honestly, I'd appreciate Kace's voice. He's such a strong character and deserves to have his side heard.

This book was very reminscent of LRJ's Inside Out series, especially with visits from past characters, and I'm still a bit confused by why Aria's heritage is so desperate and dangerous. How can playing a violin or enjoying music automatically link you to your history? There are so many people in the world who have that kind of appreciation. Maybe that is also something that will be further discussed as this story grows. I'm looking forward to continuing this trilogy and getting more Kace!

A Reckless Note is my first book I've read by Lisa Renee Jones and WOW! This book was so interesting!! I devoured this book in one day, it was that good. Thanks to NetGalley I was able to read an ARC of A Reckless Note in exchange for an honest review. I love romance novels, but I this book was a breathe of fresh air. I was intrigued by the first chapter. The element of it being a mystery book while also romance made it all the more better. Also, epic CLIFFHANGER. I can't wait for the sequel!!

Aria and Gio Stradivari are the remaining family members of the famous makers of the Stradivarius violins but have been in hiding since the "recipe" to make the violins has been lost. Gio is on the hunt to find his family's secrets, but has gone unresponsive. Aria is determined to find her brother when she meets Kace August, rock star violinist, who keeps showing up when least expected. Aria has lived her life staying in the shadows trying to forget the world she was born into, but Kace and her hunt for Gio thrust her right back into it. As Aria and Kace both grow closer together, it's just a matter of time until the secrets they both hold come out.

Dark and sensual. 'A Reckless Note' plays to its own audience by giving you a complicated, yet straightforward romance to view. Written beautifully and in an engaging manner, an entertaining read for anyone looking for an out of the box romance. The first of a series, I can only hope the author manages to go deeper into these characters and world she has managed to build so far.

This book is so good. You get tid bits of Aria’s life and her family background. It makes you want to know more. She worries about her brother that went missing. She is trying everything to keep a low profile and find her brother. Until she meets the famous Kace August. He just sweeps her off her feet and she feels comfortable with him, lets her guard down with him. He is a musician. They both have secrets. She is dealing with a lot and trying to keep it together.

This is a must read. I absolutely love this book and can’t wait to read the next book. I need to know what happens. Highly recommend. Lisa Renee Jones what an awesome read.

From the start this romantic suspense keeps you on your toes and glued to the page. The chemistry between the main characters, Kace and Aria is immediate and steamy. Both are keeping secrets and both must decide what they want and how far they’re willing to go to get it.
I recently started watching White Lines on Netflix, a show about a woman who travels to Ibiza to find out what happened to her murdered brother. I got the same vibes from this book!

Another brilliant debut novel from author Lisa Renee Jones! As a long- time fan, I’ve had the pleasure of reading many of her books and series from the beginning, and this novel is one of my all-time favorites. The story of Aria and Kace is intense; ranging from a deep insecurity to a wild passion and every conceivable emotion in between. She’s a quiet one; she keeps to herself and trusts no one but her brother, Gio. Kace is a mega star, a violin virtuoso and far more worldly than Aria. Yet the two seem destined to be together, in spite of everything. But when Aria finds something she shouldn’t have seen, can she ever forgive Kace? Needless to say, I’m very eagerly anticipating the second book in this fantastic series!

I'm a huge LRJ fan and I was so excited to read this when it came out. It was suspenseful and exciting. Not what I was expecting when I first read it. Although its not my favorite book by her, its still worth reading. I can't wait for the next book.

Kace and Aria's story. Overall, I did like it, but struggled a bit at times to stay involved with the story. In general I like this author and her work, and would recommend this one.

As a fan of Lisa Renee Jones, I also loved that some of her past book characters showed up in this story. I can't wait to find out what happens next in Kace and Aria's story.

This book was not my favorite by Lisa Renée Jones but it was good! The plot was interesting. I loved the suspense and the mystery. It kept me interested and invested!
