Lisa Rene Jones is an automatic one-click author that I have come to love. Her books have everything I look for; a great story full of suspense, twists, and romance. Her new book, Reckless Note, book one of the Brilliance Trilogy is no exception. By the end of the first chapter, I could not put the book down, staying up to finish it.
Aria has an innocence about her and I sometimes felt she was among wolves who would hurt her. As she begins to know rock star Kace August, she begins to let her guard down.
Alert: Aria and Kace’s story ends in a cliffhanger, and thankfully Lisa does not leave her readers hanging for very long. Part two releases August 18 and Part three on September 22.

Ahhhh!!! I should've paid more attention when picking this read, because cliffhangers drive me bananas—especially when the rest of the books in the series aren't going to be released until who knows how long from now because this book just came out! 😭

However, if I overlook the cliffhanger (which I absolutely will) and just focus on the story itself, this was a great and really fast read. A definite page-turner because the suspense aspect had me dying to know what was going on and what might come next. (Another reason the cliffy is gonna drive me to the edge lol)

I adored Kace. He's this kickbutt violinist who doesn't fit your idea of a famous musician of the typically classical variety. He wears T-shirts and jeans and boots and just the thought of a sexy alpha male dressed in casual, smexy attire while rocking out on a violin... yes please. But he's also so... mysterious. Like, hot and cold and we don't know why. Which makes you wanna know why even more, of course.

Aria, the female lead, is definitely a strong heroine. She takes the forefront in this story, at least for this book. And I really loved her voice. It was strong and clear and you could relate so hard, even when she was going through things not seemingly relatable.

Overall, this was a great read. I need to put an alert on Lisa Renee Jones somewhere so I make sure to find out when the next in the series comes out, otherwise the cliffhanger might be the end of me.

Aria is on the search for her brother Gio and instead finds Kace and sparks fly. Both have lots of secrets, will they be revealed? This is a fast-paced read with loads of twists and turns, lots of drama, suspense and steam. I was hooked from beginning to end. I can’t wait for more. A good read.

AMAZING!! Blown Away by this book. Aria and Kase are such great characters! Aria trying to find her brother while getting swept away by Kase a man who is falling for Aria.. I didn't want to put it down. I need to know what happens next!!

A Reckless Note was fast-paced and entertaining. On the flip-side, the quick pace seems to sacrifice descriptive story-telling. It felt a bit like "this happened" and then "this" and so on. The dialogues also felt a but stiff. The premise and theme surrounding music and Stradivarius, however, are entertaining and original. Some cliffhangers manage to give some partial closure so you feel like you got a full book. This cliffhanger is the abrupt kind, so I would recommend just reading the whole series at once if you mind this like I do. 3 stars for a beginning that may turn into 4.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A Reckless Note kicks off Lisa Renee Jones` latest trilogy with the same intensity and passion readers have come to expect from this talented author. Aria and Kate are intriguing and captivating characters and their story starts with plenty of drama and obstacles. There is obviously so much more to come, and I can't wait to read the next gripping instalment of the Brilliance trilogy.

A CLIFFHANGER?! Nooooooooooo. I can't wait to finish this series. It hooked me right in the beginning, she allowed the characters to develop at a reasonable pace, the same with their relationship. I can not WAIT for the other books, but I see this author has a long backlog, so I'm off to read the rest of them. I will definitely pick up any book by this author.

**I have gotten a digital copy of the book through netgalley.**
This is a spoiler free review with all my opinions and thoughts.

Romance+ Mystery+Music
This was an intriguing romance book. I loved how it swept me away and got my attention during the first couple of pages. I love how music is apart of this book it fits well with this book. I wish we got to learn more on Gio and how he was missing but overall it was a great book. Oh my gosh the cliffhanger was unexpected for me and I need the next book! I thoroughly enjoyed A reckless note.

“I can do this. I will do this. For my brother.”

-Plot-
You can read the blurb to know what this book is about. I loved how the book was written I feel as it carried the plot well. I enjoyed the plot it was captivating. The ending surprised me but in a good way. There was suspense, drama, passion , secrets, mystery, and so much more.

“Cambiano i suonatori, ma la musica è sempre quella.” It means, “the melody changes, but the song remains the same,” but directly translated it’s: “the players change, but the music is always the same.”

-Characters-
Oh wow I love the characters in a reckless note. Aria is an antique dealer; buying and selling antiques for her clients. Kace; rockstar violinist. I like Arias character she is reasonable, nice , smart ,etc. She was relatable which I like in main characters. I love how the author included who Kace was inspired by it helped me get a little more background. I adore Kace.

“They have loves, likes, passions, and pain because we all have pain. We all have pain. We are the sum of all of those things—I am the sum of all of those things. I find myself wanting to understand and know Kace but I warn myself that you have to give what you get.”

-Writing-
A reckless note was well written and explicit. The romance scenes were appealing and written in a way I liked. The plot was eloquent and nice. The details flowed good and the book was understandable.

“I am alive with this man, a ball of nerves and desire like I have never known.”

-Romance-
I loved how Aria and Kaces “relationship” was written. It was insta love but at the same time slow-burn. When reading some books I may occasionally cringe and sexy scenes but for this book I didn’t which can be considered a good thing for me. I give the romance 5/5

“Because of you. Because I need to feel what you make me feel.” “What do I make you feel, Aria?” “Free. And alive.”

-Conclusion-
Do I think you should pic up this book? YES if you need a good romance novel then this is a good book for you. Like I stated previously I can’t wait for the second installment to the brilliance trilogy. If you like romance, mystery, slow burn, music this is definitely a book for you.

"And somehow there is a sanctuary in two like souls haunted by demons of the same evil."

Okay...I know, it's a trilogy. That tells me to expect a cliffy. But I'm always still surprised when it happens. Trying and trying to get that last page to turn. Not ready for it to be over...

I'm a big fan of music-themed stories and I really enjoyed this one. The author teased me to within an inch of my life with all the exciting secrets and suspense. I'm sooooo curious! And Kace, lawdy, that man is so delicious. At the beginning of the book, the author shares her muse and I googled him. I kept that delicious image in my head throughout...sigh. ♡

I can't tell you what happens, I can only tell you how much I enjoyed it and am looking forward to spending more time with these amazing characters. I can also tell you how much I love it when some of my favorite characters from other series pop up, especially those sexy Walker Security guys, they're so badass and funny. I can't wait to get my grabby hands on A Wicked Song. The line forms here...

This one was short and sweet! Honestly, this book was quite amazing and it surprised me in a good way.

This book had it all; the drama, strained family relationship and a lot of passion! I loved reading about Kace and Aria, especially their witty comebacks and all their deep conversations.

I like that their relationship wasn't rushed in this book, which I expected with how short it is, but the story flows smoothly and it's addicting. It's something different, something that just pulls you in. I mean, who doesn't love famous violinists who are insanely hot?

They meet in interesting circumstances and their same interests bring them together and make the fire between them grow.

Aria tries to resist him at first because she feels like she doesn't belong in his circles and he's also not good for her, but the pull between them is too strong.

But Aria was hiding a secret that she didn't share with anyone. I loved her character because she was simply interesting and very fresh. And I loved Kace, because he had this tough, bad-boy persona, but he was just really sweet. But he's also hiding a secret, which leaves this book with a cliffhanger and so many new questions.

Lisa Renee Jones is one of my favorite authors and this new series does not disappoint! Can’t wait for next book in this trilogy.

The story graps your attention immediately and holds it.

Love Aria and Kace the main character. And their chemistry ? Just WOW!!

Can’t wait to find out Kace’s secrets as the series continues. And to see what he does when he finds out Arias.

I read this book in one sitting. Just could not put it down and now I’m counting down to next release.

The plot is strong and believable. The character building is awesome. Very descriptive. Like all her books you feel like you are there experiencing it.

You won’t be disappointed in this book!

Like other Lisa Renee Jones' books, I was totally absorbed from the very beginning. I also knew that this book would end on a cliffhanger and boy, did it ever. I can't wait until book #2 (and I'm sure I will also want book #3). Lisa Renee Jones just has a way of writing a romance that has a mysterious vibe to it and quite honestly, it just works.

This is the story of Aria, a violin heiress who has been in hiding for 10 years since her father disappeared. Her brother, Gio, goes missing at the beginning of the book as well and Aria obviously suspects foul play.

In an effort to take her mind off her brother's disappearance, Aria throws herself into work. She is a collectibles dealer - bidding on high end items for private clients. She currently has her eyes on a multi-million dollar violin - that also has ties to her past and why she went into hiding. Along the way, she meets the most popular "rock" violinist out there - is he falling for her or does he have knowledge of who she is? I guess I will find out in book 2.

I was provided this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

In the new series, we are introduced to Aria, a dealer who buys and sells antiquities and more to wealthy clients, and Kace a famous musician; both are very entwined in the music world. After meeting, they become very entangled with each other. Aria has a big secret regarding her family and now, her brother seems to have gone missing. Desperate to find him, Aria gains entry into an action house for an important instrument linked to her family. She encounters Kace, a world renown musician who seems to have some secrets of his own. They begin a whirlwind affair that challenges both of their own rules about whom to trust.

Aria has spent her life hiding because of her family’s history of the danger and intrigue involving mysterious disappearances and worse. Kace is at the pinnacle of his career, but the constant touring and giving his all is getting old. Planning to retire from touring, he has agreed to perform for a few charitable occasions with a fellow artist painting while Kace plays his violin. Readers of Ms. Jones other books will recognize the painter from her previous series.

Once again, I am drawn into the world of artists with their dark and damaged souls who find women capable of leading them into the light. Aria and Kace have a lot to overcome in order to trust one each other and uncover some possibly deadly secrets about Aria’s family. As per usual with Ms. Jones, the story ends in a cliffhanger of which I am not generally a fan; however, she has promised the next two books of the trilogy will be released soon in August and September, respectively.

This is a book that once you start you won't want to put it down There is so much suspense and dram and a whole lot of tension as a wicked web is cast around you but be aware this is only the first book in a trilogy so you will have to wait for further insight into this couple

Aria is on the search for her brother Gio and that draws her into the world of antiquity sales There she meets Kace August the attraction between them is through the roof but both are hiding secrets She is the daughter of a family of world famous violin makers and he just happens to be a famous rock star violin player that loves her families violins. Be ready for the tension and lust between these two and be aware that this book ends a doozy of a cliff hanger so if that isn't for you maybe wait until the entire series is complete

Lisa Renee Jones is just a talented amazing breath catching author. Once again she managed to amaze me and carry me away in this new world where unexpectedly and geniusly the famous Stradivarius violins are the protagonists!

As always her story has a perplexed plot, depth in characters and unexpected turns of events. And though the readers are hooked and greedily read page after page no sooner the end comes making them impatient for the next book in the series.

If you haven't read before any of the books of Lisa Renee Jones, believe me... once you do, you will find yourself transfixed.

Enjoy it!!!

4.5 stars

I never know what to expect from this author other than the unexpected. There was something intriguing about this book even with the vagueness. I still have no idea what is going on but every step of what I have read so far has me 100% invested in finding out how everything ties together.

Suspense, mystery, an unbelievable connection between the main characters where their chemistry was palpable made this a decadent read. I am not a fan of cliffhangers because of the amount that I read but Something about this author reminds me why patience is not my virtue because I can never wait to binge read them all at once. I hate myself for that after each book that I have to wait until the next one is released but during the moments that I am lost in her words, I am a glutton and life ceases to exist around me. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed this book and can't wait for the next installment. I loved Aria and can't wait to know more behind the history of her family and where her brother is. Loved Kace, but knew he knew more about Aria than he was saying. Love Jones' books and am really glad to start this series!!

Really cool spin with the main character and the violin. Really enjoyed this read, thanks Netgalley.

Thank you NetGalley and the author for the free copy. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This story is amazing and what a wonderful, intriguing start to the series!

I like that it has a little bit of mystery thrown into the romance. I like the world that the author has created for this series. The whole thing with Aria and the violin is so wonderfully rich.

I love Aria. I feel like she is a walking contradiction. She seems so fragile and lost, but brave. She's demure but determine. More importantly, I just love the fact that she's no high-horse, stubborn bitch. At least she's not in first book and that's good enough reason for me to want to continue with this series.

And how can I not mention Kace August? Sexy, rich and talented? I want some of that too! I absolutely love the chemistry between Aria and Kace. The two of them...just make sense.
