Thank you, Netgalley and the author/publisher, for the opportunity to read and review an advanced reader's copy of this book. This in no way affects my review, all opinions are my own.

This is a great "guide" both for those who are starting their Daniel fast journey and those seasoned fasters who have done multiple fasts in the past. There was one time where I had to cringe a bit and that was the mentioning of credit cards as a way to budget and to use the points and other rewards. Why is that problematic? Well, (1) the cons of credit cards outweigh the pros (e.g., there are not enough rewards to compensate for the fees, etc.) and (2) if you are struggling with your finances, getting a credit card is like making an alcohol stand in front of an open bottle of liquor; chances are this backfires and the credit card will be maxed out and the person struggles more than before. This defeats the purpose of this fasting goal. Other than that, I loved the book. The author gave lots of recipe ideas, lots of advice on how to approach the goal of a financial breakthrough, and she also provides some great "bullet points" which can easily be referenced while fasting and preparing for the fast.

This book helps leads you through a 21 day fast focusing on spiritual, physical and financial health. This can easily be used in book clubs to have support and tips from others during the 21 days. If you have read the original Daniel Fast book this would be a great addition to your library because it adds new recipes apart from the original book. Susan Gregory also has a blog and Facebook page to follow to help you with tips and tricks on your journey.
