This was a wonderful grumpy/sunshine romance against a backdrop of ice-hockey... I don't know what else I could have wanted!
Ren Bergman is an absolute cinnamon roll hunk of a book boyfriend and I loved him.
Frankie was harder to like as I found her a little abrasive but I liked the realism portrayed by the author in relation to her autism and mobility issues, I loved her with Ren (all the banter!), and I liked the Bergman clan.
The story was easy to inhale over a long cosy reading session and left me happy and smiling so it's two enthusiastic thumbs up from me!

This was my first read by Chloe Liese and I am sold on anything she writes now, I felt the Autism rep was written perfectly, I liked how the relationship between Frankie and Ren developed and I loved Frankie’s role In his career, this was the perfect grumpy sunshine story and man that yoga scene was hilariously perfect. The disability was such an intricate part of the story and I cant wait for more from the Bergman family.

In short, this was spectacular! I loved both Ren and Frankie. The pair had amazing chemistry together, but I would have fallen for each on their own. Ren is so humble and adorable, open and vulnerable. Frankie was a grump with a heart of gold whose struggles with RA and autism were so real and honest that you couldn't help but root for her. This was slow burn done perfectly IMO. It also made Liese an auto-buy, auto-read for me.

Another amazing story from Chloe Liese! I loved this sweet, slowburn sports romance which has a cinnamon roll hero and an amazing heroine who is on the autism spectrum! I enjoyed their story so much!

Ren Bergman fell for Frankie Zeferino the moment he met her for the first time. Chloe is becoming one of my favorite author when it comes to writing an Own Voices love story.

Dual POV makes it easy to understand the characters better. You see their struggles, understand their fears and make out the depth of happiness or sadness. It is the same with this book. Ren and Frankie are such a gorgeous messy characters and with each chapter you can't help but fall for them.

Ren is the perfect dream guy out there. He is tall, handsome, big built, kind, understanding, emphatic, can cook and even buys sanitary pads during period. Can he be any more perfect?!!! Frankie on the other side has some reservations because of her past life but slowly and gradually she opens her heart's door for this bag of sunshine.

The story is so mature and at the same time emotional. The slow burn romance with their witty banter makes it more entertaining. And the chemistry is so hot you can burn an entire forest with it.

There is no silly fights or typical misunderstanding because of a third party. Some serious issues are being discussed and characters are being developed in beautiful way. They change because they want to love but still keep their original personality intact.

And I have never been more wrong about autism in my life. A huge huge thanks to author for teaching us what Autism actually means and how it is different for every person. I think teaching about something so serious through fiction is the best way. Kudos to the author for doing this.

This book deal with autism in a totally different light. You have characters worth die for, the romance is totally hot and relationship which is as physical as emotional. It is a power pack love story.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I love a good romantic sports novel and adding a hockey player to it is even better, but this book fell flat for me. Their was no slow burn and reading this I didn't feel the sexual tension that these two characters should have had.

The romance was cute. I enjoyed reading about how a female with autism, Frankie, affected her relationships. It felt realistic and heartfelt. I had not read the first book in the series as you do not need it to read this one.

Ahhhhh!!! Ren and Frankie are the best! I loved how his sunniness balanced out her surliness! I honestly cannot tell you which Bergman sibling I love the most. I want to be a part of their family!

So I’m spending January reading @NetGalley ARC’s, and this was one that I regret not reading earlier. When I requested it, it was the cover than caught my eye. And honestly? I still wouldn’t have read it if I didn’t think I had book #3 from @NetGalley. {I’M GLAD I WAS CONFUSED. I may break my “only NetGalley rule” for Ever After Always on 1/12.}

Always Only You is about Frankie (a women with autism and arthritis who loves root beer gummies and Harry Potter) and Ren (a professional hockey player who loves Shakespeare). Both of the main characters are non-traditional “heroes,” and I think that’s why I liked the book so much. The author did a great job of explaining Frankie’s differences without harping on them - she wrote Frankie as someone with autism not someone who is autistic named Frankie. Ren was a hockey player, but he definitely wasn’t your stereotypical “jock.” I also enjoyed getting to spend more time with his family (you get an update on Willa+Ryder).

I’d recommend this one for sure, but I’d read the series in order. (Y’all know I love a good series!)

I'm just absolutely in love with this series. That's the best way to summarize how I feel after reading this book. I'm obsessed with every single Bergman sibling, but I was so excited to read this one, because I love a good hockey romance. This had hockey, forbidden romance, and some grumpy & sunshine (with gender roles reversed!) mixed in. Ren is an amazing character - sweet, patient, tender, and so good at swearing in Shakespeare. Frankie was equally amazing, and I absolutely loved how Chloe portrayed her autism and her arthritis. #ownvoices books are so important, and this book really provided insight into the day to day processing of autism & the challenges that Frankie faces. While Frankie faced so much, she still had so much joy, and I really enjoyed reading about her character, and how her & Ren's relationship develops. If you haven't started this series yet, you should. Now. I will forever auto buy anything Chloe writes, and I can't wait to continue reading about the Bergmans!

You know that feeling when the book you're reading is so darn good you want to savor it because you're not ready for it to be over? That was Always Only You for me. It was my second of Chloe's books and it certainly won't be the last. I loved everything about this book. Ren was the best cinnamon roll hero. And Frankie was everything. The romance was fantastic and I also adored the friendships and family relationships within. The Bergmans are the best. I cheesy-grinned my way through the biggest part of this book. I loved the combination of feels, laughs and heat.

This is my first Chloe Liese book, and it won't be my last! I've read a LOT of romance books in 2020, and this was one of the highlights. If you're looking for a sweet, sexy, cozy read with thoughtfulness, depth and heart, this is for you. It's kind of a forbidden workplace sports romance - Frankie Zeferino is the social media manager for the hockey team Ren Bergman plays for, so technically they can't date. Which is a pity because she has a thing for sexy ginger men like him, and he has a soft spot for the adorable grump that she is. But she's going to be moving on from working for the team, and when circumstances push them together, can they resist?

There were so many things I enjoyed about this book:
- fantastic representation of autism and chronic illness, as Frankie has autism and rheumatoid arthritis
- she's older than him and more experienced
- he's a pro hockey player and a virgin! A male virgin is so rare in romances
- healthy communication throughout between both MCs
- open mention of birth control and menstruation! I LOVED this!
- mention of therapy and how it helps Frankie's life
- close family and friendship relationships
- adorable doggo! Pazza is suchhh a sweetheart
- he's a Shakespeare nerd!
- Liese deftly handles the contradiction of being a Harry Potter fan but not supporting J.K. Rowling's transphobic statements
- it's HILARIOUS. I laughed out loud on multiple occasions
- Ren is the sweetest cinnamon roll character. He's a fantastic representation of positive masculinity - I love that he's comfortable openly communicating, being vulnerable, and showing his emotions even when it means crying while doing a book reading in a children's hospital
- bilingual MCs! And food representation of their cultures
- people who liked Only When It's Us will enjoy all the cameos from Willa and Ryder
- palpable chemistry and attraction between the MCs. They're a little oblivious and a lot in love and it is fantastic
- lovely getting-to-know-you progression where the characters really connect, and some fun tropes to push them together
- both Frankie and Ren have had difficulties growing into themselves, but by and large they've been able to accept and love themselves and be strong in who they are
- it's tricky to pull off a third-act breakup that doesn't leave the reader feeling like one or both MCs is an asshole or crossed a line, that their feelings were genuine and understandable on both sides, and that a resolution is believably done. Liese pulls this off with aplomb - it felt like a natural and healthy resolution, and romantic AF too.

This book is so beautifully done. It represents people with real issues. It's informative and genuine and you learn from the depth of character that can only be imbued by an #ownvoices author. It feels cozy and romantic. It feels like a safe space.

I love love LOVE this book! The ray of sunshine and the grump is starting to become one of my favorite tropes, and it’s not often where the grump is the heroine. I love the representation of Chloe’s books. Frankie is a great rep for the autism spectrum within being a stereotype. Ren is such a dream! I adore him! Always Only You is such a sweet and heartfelt romance! One of my favorites of 2020!

I was positively surprised by this book. I had never heard of the series or author before but it caught my eye being about hockey and all troupes I enjoy. It was so much more and even better than I expected! I adored the two main characters and Ren is one of my favorite romance heroes I've ever read (so swoony!). What starts are a forbidden love story with the male character pining for a women he can't have because of work, turns into a great character portrait about accepting the love we think we deserve. This story was also super hilarious. I loved it. I also loved reading about a character with a physical disability and who had autism, and how she navigated people's expectations of her with what she wants out of life and love herself. I could go on and on about the many things to love about this book. Looking forward to the next one!

Fair or not, there were a couple things going against this book when I picked it up (and...why I even requested the ARC is a whole other rabbit trail we’ll be ignoring right now). First, I generally stay away from young adult romance - because they’re usually rife with self-inflicted angst caused by non-communication. And second, this book was majorly hyped with copious amounts of gushing in my Goodreads and Bookstagram circles - which automatically makes me suspicious (or should I say cynical?) since I frequently find myself standing on the dusty road far behind bandwagons.

But wouldn’t you know, Always Only You is going on my Best Of 2020 list.

Frankie Zeferino is a 26 year old woman working as the social media guru for a professional hockey team. She also is autistic and has arthritis, which - in her experience - makes relationships more challenging and not really worth it.

Ren Bergman has had a huge crush on Frankie ever since his first day as a professional hockey player. But there’s a non-fraternization rule, which makes Frankie off limits. So Ren is determined to wait until he CAN be with her.

And THAT right there will win me over ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. I can’t express how much I love a hero who knows what he wants and is willing to play the long game to get it. In a deep and wide sea of alpha males and insta-love stories, a slow burn romance with a sensitive, manly man, wins - hands down - every single time.

There wasn’t a single thing I didn’t love about this book and watching Frankie’s grumpy disposition run afoul of Ren’s constant sunshiny outlook was charming. Their witty banter was delightful. And when conflict arose, it was heartfelt and realistic. I loved Frankie and Ren. I loved their love story.

I’ve read close to a thousand books the past six years. Sometimes I feel like I’ve read all the great books there are to read...that I’ll never be wowed again, that only cliched writing/tropes/characters remain. Then along comes an author who gives us a book with a fresh voice, unique characters, and superb writing that effortlessly charms and entertains readers.

So yeah, I’m completely on the Chloe Liese bandwagon. And I can’t wait to read more of the Bergman Brothers series!

OMG, what a read! This book was so awesome that I could not put it down. Let's just say that Ms. Liese owes me some sleeping time. The characters were well developed and the book well written. I have been highly entertained by the banter and shenanigans of all of these characters. I absolutely loved it! This story is everything I want in a sports romance and more. There was lots of laughs and endless swooning! My new favorite book byMs Liese!! Super excited to get my hands on this authors next book. Happy reading everyone

This was a phenomenal read. I am so glad I picked this up.

This is a super fun and sweet story about two individuals who are clearly perfect for each other but because of their own circumstances, they find themselves not being able to come together. Liese did a great job with the development of their relationship; the pacing and the growth of the plot were slow and took its time without being dragged out.

I absolutely loved the two main characters, they were so beautifully realistic and multidimensional. Liese addressed many emotional and real topics, which I really appreciated. Frankie's arthritis and autism were done so well. I loved watching Ren fall in love with her and seeing past her hard exterior.

One of my pet peeves with books is excessive pop culture references. There were times where the different references were causing the writing to come across as a little childish.

This was a sexy and fun read that I would recommend to anyone looking for a realistic and sweet hockey romance that discusses deeper topics.
