I love Stefanie London's romances so much. The Rebound wasn't my favorite from her, but it was still a very enjoyable read. Insta-attraction isn't my favorite trope, but if you're looking for a short and steamy read, this is it!

The Rebound: A Scorching Hot Romance (Close Quarters #3). By Stefanie London. 2020. Harlequin Dare (ARC eBook).

Just minutes before walking down the aisle, Presley Richardson overhears her groom-to-be saying he’s only marrying her for his step-father’s approval. Making a quick exit out a back window, she hastens to a car just entering the church’s lot. Claiming she is a bridesmaid with an emergency, Presley finds herself meeting her fiancé’s step-brother. For all Sebastian Foster is supposed to be the black sheep of the family, Presley appreciates his help, worry and humor in making a quick getaway.

After giving a ride t a scantily clad bridesmaid, Sebastian quickly learns that she was actually the runaway bride. Desiring dirt on his step-brother who he is afraid will succeed his father as CEO and ruin his grandfather’s legacy, he seeks Presley out. But drinks turn into night clubs and he’s transfixed by the prim and proper Presley letting lose, sharing all of her intimate fantasies with him. But how will committing to a relationship with his step-brother’s ex mesh with his goals for becoming CEO and mending the estrangement with his father?

Presley and Sebastian dive headfirst into a complicated relationship but they’re as equally sweet and sexy together. Overall, The Rebound is a fun, whirlwind romance.

The Rebound is a fun, hot, and sexy romance that should not be missed! The second book in the Miami Heat series can easily be read as a standalone novel. A story that is rich with emotions, sizzling chemistry, humor, excellent dialogue, and charming characters. I am looking forward to reading more in this series.

Thank you NetGalley, Harlequin and Stafanie London for gifting me an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
Running away from her wedding half naked was not how Presley pictured this day. The fact that this isn’t her first time doing this and she’s desperate to get out of there NOW. Little does she know her getaway driver is her ex-fiances step brother he hates. Sebastian only came home to convince his father he should be the one to take over the family company. Presley decides she needs to let go of her plans and just do what she wants, but what is what she wants is Sebastian?
This was a quick read but packed full of chemistry, drama and growth. A little instant love, a splash of forbidden romance and a whole lot of steam and Stafanie London gives us a HAE with a twist. If you’re in the mood for a palate cleanser that leaves you feeling flirty and fun, look no further!

Sexy times and a well-written plot come together to give us THE REBOUND by author Stefanie London. I find Ms. London’s stories to be a joy to read because her characters exude a genuineness that is easy to identify with. If you enjoy the runaway bride trope, you will love this book.

Presley Richardson is a good girl who is unlucky in love. She was engaged twice and both times it did not work out. Both men were users, and all Presley craves is man who will love her for just being herself, with no strings attached. She dumped her first fiance a few months before the wedding and the second fiance only minutes before saying “I do.” Presley escapes through a window, half-dressed, into the Mercedes of her now ex-fiance’s stepbrother, Sebastian Foster. They share an instant spark that cannot be denied.

Sebastian and his stepbrother, Mike, are like oil and water. Sebastian wants to make the world a better place, while Mike wants to dismantle it. At first Presley has no idea that her rescuer is Mike’s stepbrother, and she is shocked to learn that everything she heard about him is untrue. Sebastian and his father are a bit estranged, however. If Sebastian wants to be CEO when his father retires and uphold his late grandfather’s beloved legacy, he needs to make nice. The lust and developing feelings between Presley and him do not bode well for a future at the helm, yet her words and actions cause him to reevaluate what he wants.

I liked this captivating story. Presley and Sebastian are a unique couple, and their steamy times are both sensual and hot. Sebastian’s father was quite a character, with his unethical actions. If you are looking for a fun, well-conceived book with characters that are easy to connect with, then add THE REBOUND to your TBR list. This is the third book from the Close Quarters series and it can be read a a standalone.

3.5 Stars

Presley is escaping from her own wedding and Sebastian, conveniently, is driving by and she uses him as her getaway. Unbeknownst to him, although he does figure it out pretty quickly.

This is a shorter title, so it deals with instant attraction and it handles it well. I believed why Presley would be interested in the fling she wants with Sebastian and I enjoyed not only watching her feel good about herself (and her decisions) but also learn what she does and doesn't want...and I really liked the ending. It's a bit of a happier for now, but at the same time it leaves you with the impression that there is enough between them for this to become something long-term.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

Another great book in this series.

We were first introduced to Presley & Mike in book 2 of the series which is about her twin Drew. This book starts off just as the wedding is about to start. Presley finds out what a jerk Mike really is does the only thing she can think of at the time, run.

I love the banter between Presley and Sebastian and their chemistry is off the charts.

The Rebound by Stefanie London was awesome. I loved the feel I was getting as reading through the pages like my ipad was scorching my hand.

Presley is a run away bride not only once but twice. I mean she either has commitment issues or she is not willing to just play second fiddle to anything. In the short span of this book I watched Presley grow and find herself. Once Presley knew who she was and what she wanted literally nothing else stood in her way even if it was making her ex fiance's step brother fall for her.

Sebastian needed information on how to get his father to hand him over the company. He didn't want it to fall in the hands of his stepbrother. Who better to get information on his stepbrother from than the woman whom left his brother at the alter literally. She had to know every single dirty detail he would need.. The only thing is he wants her but is supposed to keep her clearly at arms length.

Fun book for me, light hearted and gave me some chuckles. So we have Presley who ran away so fast when she hears that her fiance she just and in with her family, wished she would have learned before but it gave us a story where she gets Sebastian who is the ex-fiances brother he is happy with getting her out there. While they are hanging out they are starting to feel things that considering who they should be forbidden, or should it. Have Presley, and man up Sebastian and tell her your secrets before it blows up..

The only thing I didn't like about this book? It's not available in mass paperback for US customers, so I can't recommend it to my customers. They would LOVE it! Quick, yet packed with all the good stuff. This is perfect when you want something that has a good storyline, well written, and is a quick read. Can pick it up and finish in no time, but yet really enjoy it.

❤️ this one! Steamy with a bit of Insta-love hotness.

Running from not one but two weddings. That’s got to be a record.

So either this girl’s a hot mess or, as we find out, she’s too willing to settle. That is until she makes a getaway from her latest fiancé and decides it’s time to be who she needs to be.

It makes a great story when an author is so good at connecting her characters. When the story flows beautifully and the characters are well connected to each other, it takes the story to a new level. This one captivated me and I just couldn’t stop reading it.

The Rebound is very flirty and downright sexy. Plus, we can’t help but love the hot guy. While Seb may have ulterior motives, reality hits them both right in the gut.

Even though the story is not super long, it is loaded with heat and passion, charm, and sweetness. Not to mention a bit of drama here and there just to keep things balanced.

London is a great go-to for a romance author that delivers the goods. Smart, sexy, and all-around terrific read with a beautiful HEA! Loved this one!
