Fantastic novel that runs parallel to the famous Arthurian legends. My goal is to go to Glastonbury and Tintagel once lockdown lifts in England so this was a great novel to absorb in to get ready for the trip.
Told through the eyes of Sir Gildas of Cornwall, this is an account of the last months of the reign of King Arthur. Gildas and Merlin must find out who murdered 4 of Arthur's knights when Sir Lancelot and his followers launched an attempt to save Queen Guinevere. With the Knights of the Round Table split into factions, Sir Mordred makes his coup attempt to dethrone Arthur, making the investigation more difficult for Gildas and Merlin. And as tensions build, the knights begin to clash. Can Merlin and Gildas find out who murdered the 4 knights, and why, before there is more blood shed?
this was a great read, I enjoyed the use of Arthur legend. The characters were great and I really enjoyed the story.
I love this series and I think this a great addition.
I loved the solid mystery that kept me guessing, the character development and the storytelling.
Can't wait to read the next instalment, highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
