Another wonderful installment of this Salem based cozy series! We're back with Charlene at her bed and breakfast, now 3 months after her opening and move to Salem. It's almost Christmas and her parents are in town for the season making her life a little more interesting. After a night at a local restaurant raising money for Salem's youth and children's home Charlene witnesses the restaurant's owner run over outside. He had just won the lottery and was dealing with a cheating wife and multiple people reaching out to him for money. With so many people with potential motives and the Children's house left in the lurch when their donation check no longer being valid, Charlene is drawn into the whodunnit. With the help of her family and he resident Ghost she sets out to find out more about the mystery surrounding Bella's restaurant and its owner.

I enjoyed this read very much and even though I had an inkling of the murderer before the big reveal, it didn't take away from the desire to keep reading. I'm very curious to see how Charlene balances her ghost and her detective admirer Sam in future books as their relationship develops.

The cozy is very good, the mother is awful, the resident ghost of the B&B sounds wonderful, and if I read another ad for the car Charlene drives I think I'll screech. The publisher's blurb is a good hook and the story has enough twists and red herrings to keep the guessing going. Generally a good read.
I requested and received a free Ebook copy from Kensington Books via NetGalley.

An entertaining mystery set in the charming town of Salem, MA during the festive season. It is a light read that moves quickly with all the trappings you expect of a Christmas tale: a Scrooge, children in need, snow, charity, fun, humor, family drama, heart-warming moments, and murder (OOpps that doesn't show up in all Christmas tales).

This is not one of the paranormal mysteries where the ghost plays a big part of solving the mystery, in fact the ghost doesn't show up that often except to annoy Charlene's mother and be jealous of a potential living boyfriend. There are some nice moments of interaction between the Charlene and the ghost so if you are looking for the paranormal aspect you won't feel as if you have been deceived.

It is a solid mystery with red herrings and plenty of potential suspects. I was surprised by the culprit, so kudos to the writer for good misdirection.

It is a fun book that doesn't shy away from showing Christmas and family isn't always the picture perfect vision from movies and tv. But in the end the mystery is solved and Christmas cheer is to be found before fading to black.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of the ARC in exchange for a impartial review.

Charlene Morris’ parents are visiting from Chicago for Christmas and she is filled with Christmas spirit. When a local restaurant owner is killed in a hit and run at the end of a fund raiser for a local orphanage, Charlene finds that man wasn’t exactly who she thought he was.

The whole town is talking wWhen the man’s wife closes his bank account so checks he wrote could not be cashed, Charlene funnels her energies towards raising funds to help the kids at the orphanage have a Christmas that was wiped out when their check was no longer valid…and to finding his murderer. Charlene can’t help her inquisitive nature, but will it find the killer or will it mean this is her last Christmas on the earthly plane?

This is a fun series set in Salem Massachusetts that will leave you longing for a trip to Witch City and the next installment in the series. I always keep an eye out for the next entry and snuggle in for a good read with each release.

Mrs. Morris and the Ghost if Christmas Past is an exciting addition to this series .

The holidays are approaching and Charlene is spending them with her parents, who are staying at her B & B.

When a tragic murder takes place during a holiday gathering, the suspect list is long. The victim, a recent lottery winner, made several promises to share his wealth, however, he seemed to come up short.
When his wife makes the bad situation even worse, Charlene does her best to see that a local children’s home doesn’t have to close its doors.

This story was exciting and kept me guessing until the end. I am excited to see what’s next for Charlene.

All I can say is Wow, Another Awesome book in this series.

Charlene had moved to Salem and had bought a mansion to open a bed and breakfast. Her parents have been trying to get her to come back home with them. So she invited them to come to her new Bed and Breakfast for Christmas. This story shows her Mom and Dad there with her. Her resident ghost Jack, (who know one can see but her) and her cat Silva.

So we get to revisit friends we met in the last book as well as meet some new guests and her parents. During this book she has been thrown into another mystery to solve. I really don't want to spoil the book for you but you really shouldn't miss reading it.

Again I want to say I just could not put this book down. An awesome read. Thanks for sharing an ARC with me and this is my honest opinion.
