This is my first Rebecca Zanetti book & I really liked it. Paranormal isn’t my usual go to but Adare & Grace had me hooked from the beginning. I will definitely go back and read the other books in the series:)

Vampire soldier Adare O’Cearbhaill never wanted a mate and as member of the seven it was an easy choice to live his life as a solitary being. The connection to his brothers by blood was all he needed, and it meant his inevitable death wouldn’t result in a grieving widow. But five years ago, he agreed to an unconventional mating to save the life of the sister of his best friend’s mate and through their joining he experienced a protectiveness that has been continually rebuffed.

Grace Cooper is hard-headed and fiercely independent. So, cowering to an outdated Neanderthal warrior who believes all women should be sheltered and protected, is so not her style. Grace never asked to be mated and her three years separated from the abrasive and over-bearing Adare have allowed some wiggle room to try and discover details of her attack that led to a two-year coma and then resulted in a loss of memory on her waking.

But Grace has been keeping secrets, and as the war ramps up against the Cyst and Kurjan forces and Adare prepares for the battel that will most likely cost him his life, constant attempts to capture Grace ensure this estranged and volatile couple will need to find some common ground. Friends who are enemies and enemies who may be potential allies create additional confusion and mistrust as matters of the heart are intertwined with basic survival.

As always, Ms Zanetti weaves an intricate web of secrets and lies by omission, independence versus team-work, fractured alliances and heightened emotions that rule everyone’s better judgement. Guardian’s Grace is a story of protecting one’s heart while seeking answers, and hoping you live to see another day when all indications are your time in this life is limited. For those familiar with the Dark Protector series, Adare and Grace have played an integral part in the last few books, but it is exciting to see them finally get their own story which has been long awaited.

Action, danger, angst and heartache are all in abundance throughout this exhilarating story, but it wouldn’t be complete without the rollercoaster ride to love that seems to be the norm for these dominant and possessive males who fight battles and wars with gusto and love with every breath that they take. Guardian’s Grace is another thrilling and captivating tale in Ms Zanetti’s paranormal world and I can’t get enough!

They mated out of a sense of duty and then went on their separate ways...time went on and when Adare finds out that Grace is sick once again, hell do everything in his power to save her.

"We will mate again tonight. Completely. "

theres plenty of action and some hot scenes! Loved diving into this world once again!

It is hard to believe that Dark Protectors is at book twelve with several novellas added into the mix. Yet Rebecca Zanetti has kept this series interesting, intriguing, and smoking hot with Guardian's Grace. As always the Protector Adare is totally alpha though lovable at the same time. Perhaps that is what makes them such great protectors.

Adare O’Cearbhaill’s and Grace Coopers story began several books back when Adare saved Grace’s life. That forces a semi-bonding which neither thought that they wanted. Now the time has come for a reckoning on that thought and action. While each has rejected the idea of mating they can’t forget the other one. Their story is an exciting complete with danger, tension, and a chemistry that sizzles anytime they are near each other.

Fans of the series will love Guardian's Grace. New readers will enjoy it but may want to go back to catch on these two with Vampire’s Faith.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

WOW! I had forgotten how good this series was. It has everything; intense action, crazy plot and lots of romance. I'm going to have to do some rereading of this series. Loved this book.

Decidedly not a stand alone novel.. Since I haven't read other books in this series, I have to admit I was a little lost about some of the plot. It took a little time to catch up on what was going on.
The story is Action Packed! I had to re-read some pages to get a good idea on exactly what was going on in the fight scenes because it goes fast and has a lot happening at once.
The romance plot between Grace and Adare was unique and fun. I really enjoyed seeing them dance around each other before finally coming together.

4.5 stars!

Another fantastically exciting ride from Rebecca Zanetti and the Dark Protectors!

I have been so excited waiting for this book! Adare and Grace were mated earlier in the series in a last-ditch effort to save Grace’s life. After being in a coma for two years, Grace was dying, and Adare stepped in to do the only thing possible to save her – mating her by biting and branding her, but without the sex and all of the emotional entanglements. It’s now five years later, and they have both carried on with their own lives, having gone their own ways with no interaction at all.

But fate has brought them back together, and just in time, because Grace has a mysterious prophesy hanging over her head and is in danger, and with her mating to Adare only half-completed, she is becoming unwell again.

Adare is a hardened warrior whose whole life is his brothers, and his role as one of the Seven. He would do anything for their cause, including a suicidal mission to attack their enemy, the Kurjans, even if it means possible death. He is a big, broody alpha who has no interest in love or forming a connection with anybody, but then he learns that Grace is in danger, and he goes into full-on protector mode to keep her safe.

He exhaled slowly. “Thus far, I’ve kept my distance from you, and it has probably appeared that I’m easy going. I’m not.”

Thrown back together, there are all kinds of fireworks. Adare doesn’t want to feel anything for Grace, but he can’t deny that she drives him crazy. He’s wildly attracted to her, and he does care for her, and his mated male instincts demand that he protect and defend her. But Grace is a strong woman who wants nothing to do with the supernatural world, and though she can’t deny the pull to Adare, she doesn’t take well to him coming in and stomping all over her life. It’s a perfect set-up for sparks to fly, and I loved watching it all unfold!

“Come on, Adare. Neither one of us knows exactly what we’re getting into, and that’s a fact. You think you can handle me, and I think I can handle you, and neither one of us likes to be handled.”
“Grace, I admire your sense of adventure, but make no mistake, you will be handled.”

There’s clearly an attraction between them, and hints of something deeper, and it’s all kinds of hot as they explore it all.

"He brushed his knuckles down the side of her face. “I made a decision and a vow when I mated you with a bite and a mark, and I meant it. That hasn’t changed, and we will mate again tonight. Completely.”

I loved this romance. Adare and Grace are both strong, opinionated characters, so there’s lots of arguing, but they’re both sensible, and so open about everything that’s going on between them and it makes for a blessedly functional relationship. And seeing the big badass fall so hard for his spirited and sassy girl is just gorgeous. Grace is truly a bright light in his dark world, and I loved watching them come together.

“Rumor has it you’ll heal faster if your blood gets pumping.”
He grinned, gathering her hair in his hand and leaning down to kiss her luscious lips. “Are you going to heal me?”…
“Yes.” Her eyes were a luminous green in the steamy shower. “I’m going to heal you in all sorts of ways.”

But Adare is still holding back. And Grace is still in danger and searching for answers to her past and her future. Plus, there are mysterious health issues, bad guys to take out and a bunch of enhanced women to save. It’s all about to collide into an exciting, action-packed, heart-pounding ride, and I was madly flipping pages, desperate to see how it would all work out (spoiler alert – I was not disappointed, and actually squeed out loud on more than one occasion).

There’s a really strong tie-in with the earlier part of the series, with some of the action taking place at Realm Headquarters with Dage and the other supernatural leaders, and there are some big shifts for the Realm as a whole, the ongoing battle with the Kurjans, and the future of now-13-year-old Hope. The story continues to twist and turn and I loved watching all of the different parts come together, building towards what is promising to be a thrilling ending to the series (continuing with what I’m hoping is Benny’s book, because after that glimpse, I need it!).

Freaking loved it – 4.5 stars!

I've been waiting for Adare and Grace's story since Vampire's Faith. The story takes place 5 years after Adare and Grace initially meet. It's a fast paced story that really adds to the overall story arc. I would definitely recommend reading the whole series in order. These characters are two of my favourites, they have great chemistry and Grace is very likeable. My only wish is that there would have been more emotional development between Adare and Grace. It seemed like his ex Jacki knew more about his past and family than Grace. There were also some inconsistencies between Adare's feelings for his ex in Vampire's Faith and Guardian's Grace. Overall a great book and I can't wait for the next one in the series.

This book had me captured from the get go.

A thoroughly scorching romance with a touch of supernatural. I can completely confess that I definitely look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Rebecca Zanetti is a genius!

Grace Cooper is running out of time, her body is slowly undoing her unconventional mating to the very grumpy, but sexy, vampire-demon, Adare O’Cearbhaill. She's trying her best to recover the memories of her past while staying off of Adare's radar. She doesn't want to believe the crazy world of immortals and what it means to be one of The Keys meant to save the world.

Adare O’Cearbhaill has no time for emotion or feelings, he's a Highland warrior, one of the elite Seven meant to protect the world from Ulric. He mated Grace in order to keep her alive and to save his brother-in-arms new mate, Faith Cooper's, sister. He has given her time and space, tracking her as she tries to sneak around the country. But when he finds out the she can't heal herself and the mating mark he gave her is disappearing, he goes all in to save her.

Together, and with some help by familiar Realm characters, Grace and Adare must learn to trust one another if they're going to survive the new surprises their enemies have up their sleeves. Zanetti weaves an exciting, fast-paced story filled with her signature humor and commitment to family in the latest Dark Protectors novel. It was fantastic to see more of the older Realm characters pop up as the anticipation builds towards the ultimate showdown. Will family ties continue to hold? Are the Seven friend or foe?

If you like paranormal romance and haven’t read Rebecca Zanetti’s Dark Protectors series, what are you waiting for? This is series gets better with each installment, and Guardian’s Grace is a must read.

Grace was in a coma for two years and nothing her brilliant doctor (and now immortal) sister Faith tried could save her. Adare, one of the secretive Seven, mated her with simply a bite and a brand to save her, mostly because she is one of the Keys to a ritual to defeat to defeat the evil Ulric. But, their mating was unusual since since it didn’t involve sex, and it didn’t take. Now five years later, Grace is getting sick, and fears she is going to slip back into her coma.

The plot takes off from there, with lots of battling and running away from the bad guys who want them dead. Grace is also searching for answers about her pre-coma life that she has no memories of. Of course, Adare and Grace steam up the pages as they truly get to know each other and decide if they should now mate for real. While focusing on saving the world, both Grace and Adare have their humorous moments. Their quips and banter lighten up the most serious battle and sexiest moments.

I loved this story, and stayed up late to find out what happened next. It was a treat to see all the appearances by other members of the Realm. Zanetti’s world is complex, and the list of characters can be confusing if you haven’t read at least some of her earlier books, but it’s awesome to see how it all fits together. Diving into this world is the perfect escape from real life right now.

This story isn’t really a standalone, but why would you want to miss out on the earlier books in the series? Each one is a suspenseful, faded mates romance that’s impossible to put down.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received an ARC for my honest opinion.
Excellent addition to the Realm books! I really adored this book. Adare in a fascinating character. I really enjoyed his development and what his story added to the overall seven arc. The chemistry between Adare and Grace was amazing and the author did wonderful job of keeping me in suspense. There were great cameos from other characters that gave the book some heartfelt nostalgia. The only downside is I now have to wait for the next book and let me say, I really hope it’s Benny. As a secondary character he is top notch and the author does a wonderful job bringing him to life. I highly recommend this book. I will buy this for my library.

(4.5) Man o man o man does this book put a hitch in my breath. The story with Grace and Adare was another Rebecca Zanetti win, but it was all the little sub plots that really grabbed me. Twists and turns, its a little scary to see wither the Protectors world is headed. The tidbits with Hope, Paxton and Libby were great, and the scene with Paxton and his dad....oh my, I had tears. Where is this world headed I ask again. The Seven is not such a big secret anymore and boy this is turning out not to be a good thing. Benny is becoming my new fave, he made me laugh out loud. Grace and Adare supplied the hot chemistry. Loved this one anxious as to where this is headed! Thank you Rebecca Zanetti, Kensington Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this arc. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

Part of a series but still able to follow without reading the others but would be better to read previous ones.
Grace was attacked left to die but was saved by Adaire one of the protectors.
To save Grace Adaire mated with her but decided to leave and let her go on with her life .
5 year later Adaire came to claim Grace to save her since she is one of the 3 Keys.
Lot of mystery,suspense,drama,romance.
Will need to read more of series .
Great list of other characters.

while technically could read as stand alone, best if read the prior books at least for the current arc told in the full length novels starting at book 8, Vampire's Faith. This story has a touch of marriage of convenience and 2nd chance romance -- Adare mated with Grace to save her while she was in a coma as 1) she was his friend/brother's mate's sister & 2) is suppose to have an important part in the upcoming final battle with the current arc's big baddie. After all Adare has a strong sense of honor & duty. Well, they sort of mate -- only 2 of 3 steps in the process take place, the big "getting to know you up close & personal" part doesn't happen since she's in a coma at that time. But 2 steps were enough, she woke up and is getting better and life time (long life time) commitment is in place, so no rush. It's now 5 years later and despite some mutual attraction and dangers, they are still only partially mated and living mostly separate lives. Only unbeknownst to Adare, her sister, and others, Grace's health has begun to fail again and the mating mark is fading and her memories are still spotty, particularly how she ended up in the coma to begin with. Grace's search for answers puts her in danger's spotlight and brings her & Adare back together to face all the questions about their attraction, their mating, the past & the future head on. Overall, I enjoyed the story and Adare & Grace finally getting to know and open up to each other once the mutual guilt and martyr attitudes were set aside. The self guilt they each drowned themselves in and stubborn insistence that they should be the only one to be put at risk due to the mating (and whether it should/could be negated) became a little wearing for me during the middle part or so of the book. Once they really started to communicate and build a relationship, they worked well together. We get some time with old favorites of the series, and new tidbits & insights related to the overall arc, a bit of crazy, sexy and action keeping the pages turning as well as unexpected revelation of an upcoming mate. Now that's going to be interesting.

Guardian’s Grace is book 12 in the Dark Protector’s series by Rebecca Zanetti. The book focuses on vampire solider and Seven member Adare and super enhanced human Grace. Grace is a photographer who had previously been bitten by Adare and has become his mate, although somewhat reluctantly. After being attacked and being in a coma, she is trying to piece together what had happened to her as well as trying to figure out her mating with Adare and whether it will be something that makes them stronger or kills them both.

Adare is a strong and elite vampire solider who has been around for a really long time. So much so that he still sees women as not being able to help themselves (at least in the beginning of the book). His job is to figure out why Grace is sick whilst trying to keep her save as she is one of the allusive ‘Keys’. To do this he needs to keep her safe and out of the hands of the Kurjan’s who want to use her for their own nefarious plans. Adare is dominant, strong and speaks his mind, especially when it comes to keeping Grace safe.

This book has a lot going on in it, firstly there are a lot of characters and their stories are intertwined with both Adare and Grace. Plus, we have the actions scenes when both characters end up on missions that ultimately put them at risk and then we also have all the characters and factors that go with the Realm and where they sit in the grand scheme of things. That being said, this book is a page turner and you’re going to love every character that you meet. I know that I am intrigued by Benny and what his story is going to be like.

This is a standalone novel, but for me as a reader I think I’ll head back to book one just so I know who’s who when it comes to the characters and the roles they play in this series. If you like your books sexy with some action and a side of paranormal. Then this is the book for you!

Disclaimer: I received an ARC of this book in exchange of an honest review.

This the 12th book in a series, and I do believe it is one where you benefit from having read the previous books as there seems to be a bigger storyline that you follow throughout those books.

You follow Andare a vampire and Grace a newly turned vampire, five years after he saved her life by turning her and then left her. They are mated but not a couple, Andare is a warior of the seven a secret order composed of vampires, demons, shifters and others who protect the "realm" and inhabitants of the world in a way against vampires who can only act during night time (Andare's type are like humans, in the sense they sleep at night). It is this big war type thing and honestly as I had not read the previous books a lot of it didn't seems as big of a deal as it was supposed to be or should've been if I had read the rest of the series.

For the romance, it felt flat, they haven't been together or fully mated in the five years there bond was created but we are supposed to believe they get together super quickly even though Andare is always "I don't fall in love, emotions are not me" and her supposedly super independent, believing with reason, that he does not care. And then thrown together when he once more saves her life, oh they have no real conversations but are suddenly in love ?

Like okay, mates but they never completed the bond, he has an idea (a false one) of who she is in his head, but we are supposed to believe all this time he was in love with her but wouldn't accept it... Yeah, no.

I did enjoy that Grace defied what was expected of her, though sometimes she came across as childish, not understanding how much she was putting everyone around her in danger. There is this moment when he and his fellow seven go do a dangerous mission and she just decides to skip the plane that was getting her to safety to go where she was put in a coma before Andare saved her life by mating her. I get wanting to remember her lost memories of the attack, but there has to be a limit on how thoughtless she can be in putting others in danger, ESPECIALLY since a little time before she did that they got attacked because of her..., it was selfish and I just disliked her more at that moment. Also she is in danger because she is this all important key (one of three) which people decided she did not need to know even though it affects her and puts her in a more delicate position in which she should be even more protected.

In the end I wanted a more building romance even though they were mates, since 5 years had passed and Andare's ex had come, I wanted her actions to have thoughts put behind them and for her to act like the adult she was. While the sex scenes where steamy, I couldn't help but feel like they happened too soon especially since so many conversations were left to hang in the air unresolved.

Bookarina.

This book is part of the Dark Protector/Realm series and whilst it can be read as a standalone I would recommend reading the previous books to set the scene and characters in place . I must say that I am not a great fan of multiple POV writings normally but this books gets away with .

Five years previously , photographer , Grace Cooper was bitten and mated by vampire Adare O’Cearbhaill to save her life after she was attacked and ended up in a coma .
Adare believed it was not fair to mate Grace without her consent and determines to let her make her way in life alone ............. however Grace's health is failing and the mating mark has started to fail .
Now danger has found Grace once again , she has been told she is one of three 'Keys' whose destiny must be fufilled , but she is not convinced .
Adare has continued in his efforts to defeat Ulric and his followers , the Kurjans , who are trying to prevent the prophesied events before the final battle .
Grace and Adare must come together with their allies to try to defeat Ulric , even if it means the mating must be fully completed ...... their reluctant attraction grows even under such conditions .

This is an entertaining , fast paced book -I will read the previous books in the series to round out the background .
I was given an arc of the book by NetGalley and the Publisher in exchange for an honest review

I had been waiting for Grace and Adare so I possibly over hyped what the story was going to be. This was really interesting story but somehow it didn't have the spark their early encounters in other books had. The previous mate subplot fell flat for me in particular.
