This is a really nice book for beginners with useful information about crystals, herbs, tarot, altars, elements, deities etc. The illustrations are stunning and I liked the tables of information throughout, plus the recipes in the Wheel of the Year section. The author’s writing style is down to earth and accessible, making the book a great introductory text.

Thank you Quarto/Fair Winds Press/Netgalley for my ARC.

The Complete Grimoire seems to be a fairly in depth look into witchcraft. The topics covered include: FAQs, First Steps, Altar and Tools, The Wheel of the Year, Crystals, Herbs, Divination, Working with Spirits and Deities, and Correspondences, Rituals, and Spells.

This appears to be focused on developing a beginner and intended to be used a reference material and not as a one time read.

The artwork in this book is beautiful and the diagrams are very helpful.

I received a free copy of this ebook in exchange for my honest review from NetGalley and the publisher.

This is in no way a "complete" grimoire but rather basic information for a wide variety of witchcraft. It's a really great book to pick up for beginners but shouldn't be the only resource you read if you're interested in witchcraft. The author's writing style was really easy to connect with as they didn't try to persuade you to practice one specific way. You can tell the author is genuinely passionate about the topic and wants to educate others.

My main issue was that throughout the teachings in this book, I was often asking myself "but how do I actually DO that?!" While this book is useful, it often felt like we were just scratching the surface. The author mentions several times that if you really want to have a full understanding of certain topics, you need to pick up books specifically about those subjects (and then fails to recommend any books to pick up).

Overall, I learned quite a bit from this book and am happy to have read it but want readers to go into it understanding that this is not "the complete grimoire" like the title suggests.

The opening pages of this book promises a 'concise and in-depth guide of how to practise witchcraft' - and i would definitely agree with this.

I loved the illustrations and tables - and I feel that I got more out of the book from the tables than the main text itself. I wouldn't exactly call myself a beginner to witchcraft/wicca/paganism, yet the style of writing in the main body of text was hard to follow. I found it very 'wishy-washy' - sometimes it went into a lot of detail and at other times it brushed over certain topics.
However, I did enjoy the bits at the end of chapters 'things I wish someone had told me' (not exactly the most catchy/punchy of headings) - in theory this was a great idea - as it would help those wanting to find out more about particular topics. I don't think it was always this straight forward though, as it didn't always relate to the things mentioned in that chapter.

As previously mentioned, the redeeming feature of this book was the illustrations and tables of information. This broke down the information, and allowed you to get straight to the point. The illustrations were beautiful and really unique in style.

This isn't the best book I've read about witchcraft, but it certainly isn't the worst! I think there are better books out there for more in depth information, but these books i'm thinking of don't have the beautiful illustrations. So it's all about pro's and cons. The illustrations definitely make this book! If you're all about imagery then this is the witchcraft book for you - but if you want better info you might want to go elsewhere.

The Complete Grimoire is an introductory look at witchcraft and the meanings behind practices and rituals. Created by the woman behind instagrams popular Wiccan tips - Lidia Pradas.

I really enjoyed this book and found the writing to be informative without being too overwhelming. A great beginners guide to becoming your own witch. I particularly liked discovering about the power behind crystals and tarot. The art work throughout this book by Natalia Zhdanova is absolutely stunning. I really cannot wait to get my hands on a physical copy of this book.

Thank you to Quarto Publishing Group - Fair Winds and Netgalley for the advanced copy of this book.

I really enjoyed this and found it very informational. I will definitely be using this from time to time in the future. Everything was laid out in a cohesive manner while being all encompassing for beginners. The artwork in this was stunning as well! I would buy this book for the artwork alone. And the inclusion of an index at the end is such a great idea!

This is the best beginner witch book I have read. It is so easy to understand and jam packed with helpful information for any beginner. The artwork is absolutely stunning and really breaks up the work so it’s not overwhelming. I love the way it’s organized, it flows so well. I’m so happy to have been able to read it. Would recommend to anyone interested, whether they pursue witchcraft or not.

This is a lovely little beginner book. It covers a variety of materials to get you started but doesn't go too deep. Lidia Pradas goes over holidays, crystals, spell tools and so much more. My favorite part is teh sections called "What I Wish Someone Told Me".These insights will be helpful since they came from the field. The art is fantastic and added a lot to teh Grimoire.
This is a good one to start with to learn more about witchcraft.

A lovely volume. Perfect for nonfiction collections where new age / pagan titles are possible and a nice addition for HS collections.

I can't wait to purchase a copy of The Complete Grimoire! This book is ideal for those, like me, who are interested in beginning their own witchcraft practice. The illustrations were beautiful and the writing was knowledgeable with a friendly tone. I also appreciated the breadth of information that this book contains. I can tell that once I have a physical copy, I'll be referring to The Complete Grimoire quite often!

This book was received as an ARC from Quarto Publishing Group – Fair Winds in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I have heard a lot of anticipation from our community on the release of this book in how informative it was both on paganism and what it means to be a witch. I was also surprisingly fascinated with the descriptive section on crystals and their powers. But what fascinated me the most was the artwork in each chapter and the pretty watercolor work. This is not usually a topic that is popular with our library but, I believe our community will find this at least very interesting.

We will consider adding this title to our Non-Fiction collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.

This is a great introductory book for any person looking to explore practicing magic, divination, spell work, or pagan/Wicca practices. If you are already practicing, this may not offer you a whole lot that you don’t already know, but it serves as a solid refresher course and/or a way to dip your toe into the pool of studies not already in your practice. This book is more of an overview, that provides enough information to get you started in the right direction, or spark your interest. It covers a little bit of everything, from the origins and misconceptions about witchcraft and non-Christian deity worship, to basic knowledge about everything from sacred herbs and tarot cards to runes, pendulums, and astrology. A great starting place, or a — you guessed it — book to help you build out your own grimoire or book of shadows.

The Complete Grimoire is a great reference tool with lots of information in terms of witchcraft. The layout is nicely done and it's easy to find whatever you're searching for. That said, it feels a bit like something for a beginner, not that it's a bad thing, as we all need to start somewhere.

The Complete Grimoire by Lidia Pradas is a comprehensive guide to witchcraft. It features tarot, recipes, mediations and many other things to do with witchcraft.

This book was interesting, and as witchcraft is not familiar to me, it was educational. It definitely felt like a beginner's book, so I think it would be good to highlight that on the title, cover, or marketing materials. The illustrations and layout were nicely done.

This is a nice introductory compilation of information on witchcraft, and it doesn't focus too much on one path or another, which I appreciated. If you do follow a specific path, this may be too generalized and surface-level for your interests, but if you're someone who is brand new to witchcraft (or just interested in learning about it from the outside), check this out!

There are sections on so many different popular areas of witchcraft — everything from a basic overview of herbalism and tarot, to some more in-depth sections on sabbats and palmistry — and while this definitely won't be comprehensive enough to fit all of your needs (no single book is, IMO), it functions as an excellent starting point. It also features lovely artwork and some excellent cheat sheet pages that you could easily copy down into your own grimoire/BOS for quick info. Overall, The Complete Grimoire is a general, but solid overview on witchcraft practices and paths that I would recommend to any newbie.

Thank you so much to the publisher for providing me with this review copy in exchange for an honest review!

This book covers lots of ground for those new or wanting some more ideas. The methods used and ideas are positive and inspiring.I especially liked the ideas for the sabbats. Almost all of then were doable and reflected the meaning of the holiday is a way that made me want to continue around the wheel of the year with the ideas given. If you want a book that gives you lots of information and techniques then this is the one. Anyone wanting to learn more could only do well by reading this Grimoire.

I've always felt drawn towards occultism, witchcraft, tarot and all that stuff. So I absolutely needed to read this helpful grimoire for magick noobs.
The book is absolutely straightforward, informative, easy to read and understand and holds a lot of useful things to read every now and then whenever it's needed. You'll find lots of things about creating altars and working tools; deities and festivities; crystals and how to cleanse and program them; and lots of wicca-related things and spells told in a non-vague nor overexplained style and with several illustrations that adds an extra touch to the book.
The Complete Grimoire, by Lidia Pradas, holds the answer to several questions for newly introduced witches and offers the first steps in the magick path. Go out there and be your best magickal self.
