This was..... Wow, what do I even say? The twists absolutely blew my mind. I'm speechless and feel winded, to be honest. Please, please pick this up!

I received an eARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for a review.
I would like to also preface this review by saying when I requested this book on Netgalley I did not realize it was the third in a series. I have checked and since being approved they have made the description more reflective of that piece of information. I have not read the previous books in this series for the record

The Conjurer follow Sidra, Yvette, and Elena. These three women are all tied to magic in their own special way and must face a battle against an evil Jinni to save a town.

I REALLY enjoyed this book. For having not read the previous books, I do not feel like I started off this book lost. This author does a great job of catching the reader up to speed on everything that needs to be known. I LOVED the descriptions used in this book. There were so many various descriptions of smells that I wish I was a candle maker in order to combine these smells for real. I liked that the female characters were all well distinguished and had their own personalities. They were easy to tell apart.
The one thing I didn't love was the combat scenes because at times they felt overly complicated and it took me out of the story a bit trying to keep everything straight.
Otherwise I cannot recommend this book more. I'm definitely going to go back and read the first two books in the series now.

When we left Sidra, Yvette, and Elena in The Glamourist, Yvette had uncovered her hidden identity as Fae royalty and her glamour magic while Elena finally renounced her mother's poison specialty to focus on her vine witch magic, and to settle down with her husband. But fate and wish magic has not finished with the three women and they are forcefully reunited together to face their most wicked foe yet. The Conjurer is the third book in The Vine Witch series and centers around the third of the trio, Sidra the jinni. Sidra has been (falsely) accused of killing her husband and is on the run from the vengeance of her brother-in-law Jamra, who is aware that she possesses a valuable ancient dagger with sigils of unspeakable power. In the wrong hands the dagger could destroy the mortal world completely. If Jamra and the ifrit are successful in taking the dagger, the world will fall and the witch, fae, and jinni will be killed in the process.

This book moved more quickly than the other two and did not drag as much as The Glamourist. I felt like it was a good companion to the rest of the series and that the three women worked well together against a common foe. I also loved the parts about perfume witchery and learning more about jinni's and their ways and magic. A great conclusion to a cute and cozy series!

Thanks NetGaalley, 47North and Luanne G. Smith for an early copy to review.
The third part in The Vine Witch Series, Jamra is hunting Sidra to avenge his brother's murder and retrieve a special possession.
Supported by Yvette, Elena and a group of other forces, Sidra faces her hunter wit her wits and fury.
An enchanted adventure where the incidents of the previous two parts wrap up neatly.

Loved reading the mesmerizing and spellbinding third book in The Vine Witch series. Jamra, an evil jinni, wants to destroy Sidra, a jinni, for murdering her husband who was Jamra's brother, and get his hands on an ancient relic that would cause unspeakable chaos and evil to descend onto the world. Jamra puts Elena's, the vine witch, husband, in a nightmare comatose state, to make her help him find Sidra, but instead with a dog's help, Elena escapes Jamra's clutches. Yvette, a fey, and Elena, the vine witch, try to work with Sidra to stop Jamra from killing everyone and getting his hands on the relic, but Jamra's powers are stronger than ever before. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, full of action and suspense, and another great read by Luanne G. Smith.
I reviewed a copy of the book through NetGalley.

The only good thing I can come up with about this book is that it was bearable enough to finish. I really like this author and the way she takes you in to another world. The Vine Witch was incredible, this book however just didn’t do it for me. The tone was angsty and miserable throughout. While I assume it was Sidras book to shine, it really just made me dislike her, she’s clearly a miserable jinni. I even started to dislike Elena in this book because of the tone she took with her husband. All in all the book does take you to another place but the characters left me drained.

I wasn't aware that this is the third book in a series so I'm sure that I missed the significance of somethings without their series context. This book is sure to appeal to fans of The Discovery of Witches or Paula Brackston. The descriptions of the vineyards are rich and lush. The world is magical with djinni, witches and fairies - a charming balance of our world and the magical. The relationships between the three main characters were engaging. I'll definitely hunt down the first two books.

I misread the description for this, and I didn’t realize it was part of a series! However, that didn’t dissuade me from reading it once I realized it, and despite the fact that I had very little context, I actually really enjoyed this book. I found the prose magical and lovely, as well as very easy to read. There were often moments where I found myself just flying through it, and before I knew it I had read much more than I intended. I loved the strong female characters and their friendships, and I know that I’ll absolutely have to go back and read the rest of the series. Most of my dislikes with this book are entirely relative due to the fact that I didn’t have context for some things (a story I didn’t read the first two books), so that made it difficult for me to follow some things on occasion, but again, totally my fault.

The first is still my favorite, as it had a way of presenting magic as something that is and is not assumed. This installment absolutely lacks that feel, but is a delightful, thrilling, vaguely sweet, little tale just the same.

I was provided an e-arc from NetGalley and 47North in return for an honest review.

This is my third or fourth book with djinn characters and mythology this month alone. Clearly, I have a mood for what I want to read.

This third installment was much better than the second book. However, it didn’t quite beat out book one as my favorite but still excellent. The author just does such an amazing job creating a fall, witchy, natural/environmental atmosphere that for fall and Halloween lovers there books give such great vibes.

The books are predictable and short but they are so worth the read. One of these perfect fall days I want to do a series reread because these books just make me happy. The writing is well balanced with the description, prose, and metaphors.

I was worried it did take a little longer for the full group consisting of a witch, fairy, and djinn to be in one place but when it happened it was great. I love a book let alone a series that shows a group of three women protecting each other even if it comes with sacrifices because of the friendship. Then getting the character who is supposedly guilty clearing his name, this dog that follows and saves the day when needed.

I am sort of sad this adventure is over.

Thank you Netgalley. This was a great end to the series! I am really sorry to see it go. It has such a rich variety of scenery that was so well done that you were with the characters. It was easy to transition from the two previous books which is so important. Who wants to have to read a previous book to read the new one? The only down side is that the series is done. I hope this author continues to write!

I didn't realize this book was part of a series but will definitely have to check out its predecessors! The characters are well developed and the plot is engaging. This was a great read. Highly recommend. Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to review.

For some reason I misread the book info and I didn't realise it was the third one in a series. However, I really enjoyed it!

The prose is beautiful, and the sensory details even more so (which, I surmise, is a key theme of the series). I find myself craving a holiday in the Mediterranean countryside, now. Provence, perhaps. Details of the events of previous books are scattered through the narrative, so I wasn't in the dark as a new reader. I found it easy to connect emotionally with the characters. It's odd to read about a world encompassing djinni, witches AND Shakespearean fairies, but it's a winsome combo.

This is very much an adult fantasy, but I also see this appealing to upper YA readers, in particular any fans of Laini Taylor's 'Daughter of Smoke and Bone' - there are so many striking parallels, in a good way.

Recommended for readers even if they haven't read previous books in the series. I plan to pick up the earlier ones, now.

(With thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced reader copy, in exchange for an honest review).

The Conjurer is Sidra's story, and her life is complicated. A secret from the past is threatening to become a big problem in the present., and Elena, Yvette and Sidra are drawn together once again to fix it all.

I really like the way the author uses mythology and language to create a world that feels real. I will also say that these books have just the right amount of romance mixed in to the mystery and magic. I love the strong female friendships and the good decent men supporting them.

I hope to see more from this author.

I couldn't read this fast enough once I saw that Netgalley had approved my request. I am addicted to the Vine Witch series, but the original is still my favorite with Elena, I like throughout the series you learn more in depth about a certain character, this one focuses on Sidira, but the other characters of Elena and Yvette still play a role. Still captivating and entrancing but did not keep my attention as much as original book. Love the imagery though and the cover.

I will definitely re-read all these books and any new books by Luanne G Smith. She knows how to tell a good story with magic, and takes you to that place. Highly recommended as a fantasy series.

Thanks to Netgalley, Luanne G Smoth and 47 North for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Oh,this was such a thrill to read and Sidra, a jinni is being hunted by another jinni, her brother in law and she learns along the way that friends comes in different shapes, sizes and ages and you can't help but turn the pages eager to know what becomes of her life on the run.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.

I jumped when I saw this on Netgalley, and immediately re-downloaded the previous two so I could read all three in a chunk.
Luanne G. SMITH wrote a charming pastoral-magic book in the Vine Witch, spending words to describe the heady summer days of grape growing and provincial France, full of it's own magic. I was left content. In her second and then, this, the third book, I felt like it just missed the mark. Oh, I can see all the elements of what made the first book so charming - the descriptions of Sidra's homeland, the power of fragrance, the magic of love, but unfortunately I had to really compel myself to finish it. I just didn't care all that much about her, nor about Yvette in the second book. I finished it thinking that The Vine Witch's popularity spurred these sequels on, rather than them being plotted alongside each other. Of course, this may not be the case, but nonetheless I felt like a banquet set before me turned out to be made of subpar ingredients.
Pick this up if you LOVED the first two - if you were just liked them, then it's an okay afternoon read. Three stars, average.

What a wonderful book. From the fantastic characters to the perfect storytelling, this book really has it all. The Conjurer is a magical story of a group battling a jinn that is trying to destroy not only them but everything else in his path. I absolutely loved all of the characters, they are so well written that it is hard not to become invested in them. The settings were fantastic, the smoky atmosphere and the perfumes were perfect. I did not know this was the third in a series and am thrilled that I get to go back and read the first two. I highly recommend it!

I have enjoyed all of the series to date and this was no exception.

The author builds a rich, complex magical world. She is beautifully descriptive.

The strength of this book lies in the friendships of the main characters. Disparate women, they nevertheless work well together. No one is left behind as they face a jinn bent on destruction.

I loved this feminist fantasy.

I received a free ARC. I am leaving my honest review.

The Conjurer concocts a bewitching story layered with notes of love, friendship, and magic in the beguiling conclusion to The Vine Witch trilogy.

The Conjurer is a sensuous read marked by the fires of friendship, smoky intentions, exotic locations, intoxicating aromas, and the eternal flames of love. It follows Sidra, a djinn, who finds herself back in the dangerous French village she escaped to face her destiny and a vengeful djinn who will stop at nothing to steal her life along with a powerful ancient relic.  Along the way, Elena and Yvette find themselves implicated in Sidra's fate, creating an arabesque nature to this magical finale.

This story is not as dark as The Vine Witch, not as intricate as The Glamourist but is somewhere in between, allowing the characters from the trilogy to really shine through. The stakes are bigger and the magic pungent with passion and revenge. Ominous birds, secret spells, and pernicious perfumes abound in this sorcerous tale of djinn.

I'm a little sad this spellbinding trilogy has come to an end because it quickly became my new favourite series. I loved the world Luanne G. Smith created because it had the right amount of magic and strong female characters. I really liked how each book focused on a different character and explored a different type of magic all within an enchanting French realm.

The Conjurer is an exciting adventure about the power of sisterhood and the consequences of a wish that twists like a vine, shines like a fairy, and flickers like a flame.

I hope this is not the last time we will see the vine witch, the glamourist, and the conjurer team up, so hopefully in the future the trio will be back in action, and maybe with Camille and her fabulous olefactory magic?
