I have never understood Keto all that fat! This book helps you eat Keto style with shop bought items. Kind of defeats the idea of healthy eating. Not a book or way of eating for me.

Solid keto book. I requested it right away when I saw an advance reader copy on Netgalley and the publishers were kind enough to provide a free digital review copy in exchange for an honest review as I eat keto myself.

I love that this book really focuses on the style of keto where you stick within your macros - mostly net carbs - and then there's no judgement. I don't love the term "dirty, lazy keto" (I really don't like "clean eating" either, but at least "dirty keto" reclaims the other side) . But I love the attitude. Diets often come with a healthy degree of shaming, and this book promotes doing your best and approaching keto eating from a healthy standpoint without naming and shaming for any perceived indiscretions on the diet. I also like the author's tone, though this isn't a particularly narrative nor instructive book (fine by me, I've read lots of keto things already). It mostly gets down to the nitty gritty of how to do "dirty, lazy keto" ...on the cheap.

It's true that keto doesn't have to be expensive and I like that this book really promotes that. Like the tip "never buy anything with the name keto". I did find the names of the recipes, all named after money saving, a bit cheesy and sometimes confusing, but I could deal.

And the recipes themselves? Decent! You have some keto internet classics like chaffles (Last Chance Chocolate Chip Chaffle, and others) and egg roll in a bowl (Open Enrollment Egg Roll), but also some interesting recipes I hadn't thought of or find particularly interesting and will definitely try out like: a chicken chili, which I never make (Chump Change Chili), hot mulled cider using apple cider vinegar and spices (Hot Mullet Market Cider), no-rice gumbo (Elopin' on a Shoestring Gumbo), and a very tasty looking trail mix (Trust Fund Trail Mix).

Overall: I like it! I'll check out the author's other books.

I'm looking forward to trying this out! After reading the authors story and flicking through some of the recipes, I'm ready to give it a work.
My only complaint is that some of the recipes and ingredients are very American (biscuits and gravy means something veeeery different in the UK!)

I recently picked back up on the keto lifestyle after being on an embarrassingly long carb binge (thank you covid 19, and unexpected house repairs/remodel), The easiest way for me to get back on track is dirty keto because it isn't as strict as regular keto. I am thankful for Real Good Foods and Quest pizzas and other foods that make it easy for me to get healthier food in my body when I am in a hurry, but I also need some quick recipes for at home when I want something a little homemade and have time to be in the kitchen. There are so many great recipes in The Dirty, Lazy, Keto Dirt Cheap Coobook. This cookbook is a great place to start for newbies, or people who fell off the wagon, or people who have a hard time sticking to 100% clean foods. These are still great and healthy alternatives that will help you lose weight or just feel more energetic or better about yourself for treating your body better.

I'm a big fan of Stephanie Laska's Dirty Lazy Keto cookbook so i was very excited to get the cheapo version. True to title the recipes are delicious and cheap- and we all know it's not that easy to eat cheaply while doing keto. This book delivers!

This cookbook had more pages of explanation and background than I would have liked to see, a total of 53 pages. It seems to be geared at someone who has never done or knows what keto is. I like that each recipes shows tips, nutritional facts and average cost.

Keto is still very popular and I'm sure this book will do well. I liked the recipes and that the author included cost, macros, carbs AND calories with each recipe. Many keto books don't include the calories, so I appreciate that this one does. The formatting was very wonky, but I'm sure the print version will be better. Recommend for easy Keto recipes.

The formatting makes this really difficult to navigate, I’m sure the corrected final version will be much better. The recipes are easy to follow, I like that the prices are listed per serving and per dish and the macros are all listed plus net carbs.
