Two Scoops, not Three is a nice read about the ups and downs of life and the friendships you have. The only thing is that in some places the story felt a little rushed in places.
It's a great read for by the pool this summer.

This may be an interesting read for anyone who is into women's fiction and loves to read about friendship among women and their struggles in love, life and if you'd like list. However, I struggled reading it for connecting to the chacaters was hard for me. At some point, I cast it aside and asked myself what the author wanted to achieve with this book, just to make sure I could read and enjoy it or better yet relate to it, and when I continued reading, I realized that I couldn't connect to the characters word off empathize with their struggles.
I'm grateful to Netgalley for the eARC.

Two Scoops, Not Three by Terri Boas
Rating: 3/5

Two Scoops, Not Three by Terri Boas is a story of three best friends- Briony, Natalie, and Lauren. Briony is in search of her perfect man. Lauren is enjoying her life as a singer in on-board cruise ships and is too busy to find her Mrs. Perfect. Natalie is already married and blessed with two beautiful children. All their lives take a toll when Natalie gets involved with her spin instructor in gym, Briony finds herself attracted to her Boss’s son and Lauren realizes that she has developed a feeling for a very special someone.

Terri Boas in her book has tried to work on many things simultaneously. The book has more than one angle in it. Her writing style is engaging enough to keep the readers hooked to the story. However, a book that started with potentialities could not live up to my expectations. The second half of the story became dull and monotonous. Except for Lauren, I did not find any other character to be strong enough to like. Ironically, Lauren was the one who was neglected most in the story.

I have a strong objection to the way cheating is portrayed in the book. It seemed as if the cheater was being shown in the light of being the victim. No matter what the situation is, cheating can never be justified. In the story, many times the reason for cheating is tried to explain and that made it worse. Briony’s character was someone I found to be likable initially but as the story progressed her growth as a character was not at all appreciated.

There were references to many shows and movies in the book. I found that to be very entertaining and relatable. I like the character of Lauren. I wish she had more importance because she was witty, smart, and courageous.
Overall, if you want to read something entertaining, you can go for this one.

I would have so loved this story if only it didn’t have the cheating in it. It was so prevalent in it that it really made me want to not finish the book. The storyline of Bri and Lauren was great but unfortunately I could not get past the other stuff and this took that enjoyment away

This is such a cute fun chick lit book! It is about three friends and how they face different challenges life throws at them. At times I had a feeling that there might some drama but it was nice to see how their friendship grew though the struggles.

Fun chick lit read about 3 friends, Bryony, Lauren and Natalie and how their friendship withstands some of life's curveballs. I have to say I was more drawn to Natalie's predicament, her affair and her failing marriage. She was an interesting character. I thought the ending was really good and I had an inkling something would happen with Bryony and Lauren at the start but didn't think that would be the outcome. I am really glad their friendship changed into something deeper and it was great to see that transpire.

Two Scoops, Not Three is the story of 3 friends. Briony, Natalie and Lauren. Very different women that have been friends since school.
Briony has an office job and is looking for Mr Right
Lauren is a cruise ship singer looking for Mrs Right
Natalie is married to her childhood sweetheart and has children.
As a debut novel this was a nice easy read.
The book is constantly making references to movies and TV shows - don’t get me wrong I love a movie quote but it was constant.
The drink Cosmopolitan cocktails because of Sex and the City
“Profane or really offensive” from Pretty Woman
“It’s not that common, it does t happen to every guy and it is a big deal” from Friends
There are also countless other references to This Morning, MTV’s The Hills, Christina Aguilera, Gone with the Wind, Back to the Future........which for me got annoying.
The ending felt a bit strange too. My kindle told me I only had 15 minutes left in the book which surprised me as I felt like there were a lot of loose ends. The relationship of 2 of the main characters at the end of the book didn’t make sense to me either - when you read the book you will know what I mean.
Would all of this stop me reading another book by a Terri Boas? No it wouldn’t. I do however hope there is a sequel to this book and we get to find out more about Briony, Lauren and Natalie.

Thank you to the Author, Publisher and NetGalley for gifting me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a nice, fun read. I think I felt immediately thrown into the middle of something that I knew nothing about it except for the synopsis.
