I couldn't get through this title. It ended up not being for me, but I hope it finds a hope with other readers.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Make sure you have a lot of tissues handy before reading this story about love, loss, and finding yourself. An introspective and moving book that had my tearing up throughout.

To nearly have the life you have dreamed of and to lose it in one moment with no time to say goodbye

The story of Chloe - trying to find meaning and life after the accident.

Beautifully written really touching on the feelings of grief and of how life changes

Love, Almost is a story about life, love and grief. It was very sad and depressing at some points but then also very inspiring and hopeful at other points. Just like real life!

If you loved PS I love you or Forever Interrupted you will also love this book!!

Thanks to NetGalley and Aaron Books for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wow! This book is so sad but also inspiring at the same time. 5 months is how long Chloe gets to spend with Jack. 5 months of being in love.
She is grieving for the life she never gets to have, the love she has lost, the time they never get to spend together. This book shows how she learns and grows, coming to terms with all she has lost

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for a copy of this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Chloe is in love and happy with Jack. She has just moved into his flat and they have just returned from an overseas holiday. Even though they have only been together 5 months Chloe feels that this is it and she has met 'the one'. That is until an unfortunate accident leaves Chloe grief-stricken and wondering if she really knew Jack at all and the relationship they had was not was serious as she thought.
As Chloe wades though the grieving process she begins to question a lot of things in her life and how she is going to move forward to a life after Jack.
I liked the story line but really could not relate to Chloe at all and found her to be quite annoying which did put me off reading the book for a while as I had to keep putting it down and picking it back up again a few days later which for me took away some of the enjoyment.

A very emotional and heartbreaking story yet it is also promising and inspiring. Overall, a good read. I didn't enjoy the jumping around, it was a little confusing at times to follow.

Tried reading this one and it just was not meant for me at the time. This does not mean that it is not a good book, I just was not in the right place to be reading it and have decided to not try picking it up anytime in the near future.

This is a very sad, read that was probably a little too .much for me personally. The story was fine but there was just too much focus on the grief. I have recently lost someone so this could be just me that feels this.

I did fly through the book and it kept me engaged.

Will.read other books by this author again.

I absolutely loved this book, I really struggled to put it down. After reading it I realized that I had Hayleys first book on my kindle and I can't wait to pick that up too

This reminded me a lot of ps I love you which I adore. It covers the same themes and has a similar plot line. It deals with the issues of loss and grief very delicately and is an emotional and powerful read.

Could not get into this one - the grief in it was just too heavy, so not really making for an enjoyable read. I know this can sound crazy, but PS I Love You was all about grief but you felt sad yet also enjoyed the journey the heroine went through, despite it all. Unfortunately, wasn't the case here for me. It just felt like too much and pulling the reader into this whirlpool, too

I wasn't sure about this book at first but when I started reading I just couldn't stop. What an emotional read - tissues are def needed

This is one of those stories that you need a full box of tissues and a nice warm beverage to get through. Prepare to have your heart broken and your guts pulled out of your body. The emotional toll a book like this takes on the reader is intense and therefore the author is a freaking badass for her ability to do that to us. I look forward to more from her!

Love, Almost - Hayley Doyle.
3.5/5 stars.

Chloe and Jack have been together 5 months, and she’s just moved into his flat in London. She is 36, finally in love and on track to having a baby. One morning, she meets his parents, but it’s not with good news. Jack is dead. The storyline follows Chloe’s mission to find closure for a future she will never have.

I am on the fence with this one. I’m flipping between a 3 or 4. I just don’t think I enjoyed it as much as I thought. But maybe I was looking for more when it’s meant to be more of an ‘easy read’ as I’d call them. I felt the storyline was a bit unclear and there was a lot of jumping between times. There wasn’t really a build up to what might happen. Saying all this, I finished it in about 48hrs cause I did want to know the ending. I feel this could be a harsh review, but personally I didn’t enjoy it, but overall it was a good book.

After not really enjoying the author first book I was reluctant to start this book, but was pleasantly surprised. Much better really connected with the characters

Love, Almost is a heartbreaking and emotional read following the life of Chloe through grief at the loss of her boyfriend of 5 months, Jack. Both Chloe's family and Jacks' family believe that they have not known each other for a long time enough to be so devasted. The book follows Chloe as she comes to terms with living the life alone that was meant to be shared with him.
Although the book starts out slow, it doesn't bore you one bit. The story's flow is so organic. I loved Doyle's writing and how she portrayed the contradicting thoughts and emotions of Chloe as she came to terms with her grief. Overall, a great read.
