Wasn't sure what I was going to make of this book but went into it I started quite slow picking up the pace and I ended up really enjoying the book . It would make a great holiday read. I can't find fault with it the cover is amazing, Thank you Lynn Garthwaite for writing the book and Netgalley for allowing me to review it.

Entertaining fast paced mystery that tackles racism head on. Very quick, fun read. A little simple as the romance is a bit insta-romance, the racists are a little 1 dimensional and the heroine is unflawed but I still enjoyed this beat down.

This story got multiple point if view but the main character here is Jadey. This is a story about racism. Jadey is bi-racial and she never met her dad. Her family kind of dysfunctional because her mother and grandma always fight each other. Then, her grandma died and she went back to her house because it belong to her now. She had a bad instinct and the town she used to grow up seems different. She found out why her mother and grandma fought. She found out the reason her grandma died and she found out what happened to her father ohhhh there is a cute romance at the end lol

Thank you Netgalley, publisher and author for Starless Midnight ARC!

I, unfortunately, did not end up finishing this book, as it was much more of a YA genre than I had thought upon reading the synopsis.

While the idea behind this mix of murder mystery, identity search and conversation on race was intriguing and timely, I felt as if the storyline fell flat and could not connect with the author's style.
