Oh dear, I really wanted to like this one but it fell very short. I didn’t really like the MMC, it felt like the book couldn’t make up its mind iIf he’s supposed to be a brooding sarcastic douchebag, or a bland vanilla “nice guy”. Granted, one can have characteristics of both, but it didn’t for him. It also felt like he had excuses for all of his bad behavior.
As far as the FMC, I didn’t have much issue with her. I think she was dealt a shit boss but it seems like MMC just wants to lecture and mansplain about what’s “professional” and yet act like she needs to relax and have fun and “not worry so much”:
There definitely should have been more of a conversation about how much more women have to work to prove themselves for doing the exact same job as men. We get it a little bit….but it still doesn’t feel like it actually sinks in, essence MMC has the audacity to get pissed at FMC for being anxious about her job.
Also….all that sexual tension and zero spice to show for it? Yeah, no thanks,
On the upside, Shipped definitely made me want to visit the Galapagos. Honestly the work and cruise related bits were the most interesting parts of the book! I think i would have liked it better if it wasn’t a romance.

Shipped by Angie Hockman is a super fun, feel-good romance that had me hooked from the start. It’s about Henley, who works for a cruise line and is stuck in a rivalry with her coworker, Graeme. They’re both up for the same promotion, so they end up having to team up for a work project.
The chemistry between Henley and Graeme is so good! It’s a slow-burn romance, which I totally loved, and there’s a lot of tension and banter between them. The setting, with cruises and tropical destinations, was perfect for a light and dreamy escape, too.
What made this book really stand out to me was how it balanced the romance with Henley’s personal growth. She’s figuring out what she wants in her career and life, and I think a lot of people can relate to that. The book’s really fun, but it also has some sweet moments where you can see the characters changing and opening up.

This was a cute read. It definitely gives off Hating Game vibes and plays into that style of romance. I was wanting a little more though.

This was alright. I read about 60 or so pages I think in the physical book, before I switched to the audiobook so I could listen while I worked on some project. I'm glad I made that switch because I would likely not be finished with this book yet.
I do appreciate that the miscommunication aspect of Henley and Graeme's enemies portion of their relationship was cleared up fairly soon after they met each other in person. And the fact that it was the main boss that ended up being the 'bad guy.'
Overall, it was fine, I just didn't love the writing and I didn't particularly like the story. I just wasn't very invested in it or either character, so it made for a luke-warm read.

I hated this book so much... it just can't read this book it was bad and I hated it can I take my eyes out or erase my mind

I'm not usually one for enemies to lovers stories but this one had me hooked! The chemistry between Graeme and Henley felt real and I could picture everything happening as clear as if I was watching a movie. Entirely worth reading and I couldn't put it down!

I really enjoyed this fun and flirty book! I love the main characters and the cruise setting! It was a quick fun summer read! Thank you!

Angie Hockman’s Shipped is the book you need this winter. Henley is a marketing manager in Seattle for a cruise line company. Between her MBA and pushing herself at work, Henley hardly has time for anything else, especially dating. When she finds out that she’s up for a promotion against her remote coworker and has to go on a cruise with him and writing up her proposal is the only way to beat him, she freaks out a bit. Sent to the gorgeous Galápagos Islands for a week, Henley is sent on the adventure of a lifetime.
This hilarious and cute romance is the book to put you out of your funk. Highly recommend it if you want something light. You’ll finish it in no time

Why did I wait so long to read this? I am obsessed. Shipped was everything I was looking for in a summer read. I loved being on the cruise with Graeme and Henley. It was interesting learning about the Galapagos too, and I loved Henley’s marketing idea that would benefit the area. The side characters on the cruise also made for some LOL moments. *Im looking at you Nikolai*. The only thing I wish this had was a little emphasis on the enemies bit. It felt sort of one sided to me.
Overall, 5 stars! I couldn’t get enough of Shipped. I hope that Walsh gets her happily ever after and look forward to reading more from Angie Hockman.

Cute for a summer beach read. Gave me the Unhoneymooners vibes, and was mostly enjoyable. The main character wasn’t my favorite, and the romance left me wanting more. Overall I love workplace rivals, enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity. I also loved the cruise ship setting.

While there is nothing new with this rom-com, as I finished another The Getaway by Emily March that has similar concept of looking for exciting work/life balance and getting credited where it is due, this was the more pleasing of the two as it included cruise travel because I read after taking a cruise. Also enjoyed the author note, which she reads on the audiobook, about her travels inspiring her to write and hoping to inspire others to use their influence to help the world. Probably a solid 3.5 but I rounded up. I think many beach readers will love this one as it was pretty breezy.

I wish this had worked for me, but I was just never able to get into it! I tried multiple times but could never get past the first few chapters.

Hello
Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title. While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.
Thanks,
Laura

Henley Evans is the marketing manager for a cruise line and a student working towards an MBA. Graeme Crawford-Collins is a social media manager and her nemesis. Too bad they are suddenly short-listed for the same promotion. Henley and Graeme find themselves thrown together on a cruise in the Galapagos where they find they might not hate each other as much as they thought.
This was a fun read which was billed as The Unhoneymooners meets The Hating Game. It was reminiscent of those but almost in a fan-fiction kind of way. Still recommended for fans of Christina Lauren and Sally Thorne.

Shipped is an enemies-to-lovers romance, which tells the story of Henley and Graeme, two people in the marketing industry who venture together into the field to work on their individual project proposals for work—and by “field,” I mean “a cruise to the Galápagos Islands.” Whoever submits the best proposal will get a promotion at work. Henley hates Graeme because of a misunderstanding in the past, so she’s not looking forward to staying with him on the cruise ship and competing against him for the same promotion. Or all the sexual tension between them.
The romance between Henley and Graeme was pretty good, but it didn’t really impress me. While I think the comparison to The Unhoneymooners and The Hating Game is apt, I personally preferred those books over this one. I really liked Graeme and how the author explored the setting, but I felt like some of the secondary plot lines were poorly developed, especially those related to Henley’s sister and how the job promotion was resolved.
That said, Shipped is a cute, breezy summer romance, and if you enjoyed The Unhoneymooners and The Hating Game, then you’ll probably enjoy this novel as well!
3 stars

This book was downright amazing! Enemies-to-lovers in a tropical setting, I am sold! This was a fantastic rom-com with lovable characters and a great story.

This was brilliant! A very quick read that was done exclusively on the beach! This was my first beach read of the summer and I did not regret it one bit. It was a bit predictable but I loved the idea and plot and the banter between the characters. I love a good enemies to lovers story!

Super fun romance! A little bummed with the fade-to-black, but otherwise, enjoyed the chemistry between the MC’s.

Oh my gosh, this book was SO good!! I loved it so much, I wish I didn’t wait so long to read it. This was such a fun enemies to lovers romance set out on the seas. I thought both Henley and Graham were great characters, but Graham was the best!! The banter and the chemistry between the two was off the charts. If you’re looking for the perfect summer romcom, look no further! I highly recommend this one.
Thank you Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book kept getting mentioned and then Amy mentioned it, so I decided to dive in. It was a fun, summer read and I finished it in just a few days.
