Angie Hockman’s Shipped is the book you need this winter. Henley is a marketing manager in Seattle for a cruise line company. Between her MBA and pushing herself at work, Henley hardly has time for anything else, especially dating. When she finds out that she’s up for a promotion against her remote coworker and has to go on a cruise with him and writing up her proposal is the only way to beat him, she freaks out a bit. Sent to the gorgeous Galápagos Islands for a week, Henley is sent on the adventure of a lifetime.

This hilarious and cute romance is the book to put you out of your funk. Highly recommend it if you want something light. You’ll finish it in no time

Why did I wait so long to read this? I am obsessed. Shipped was everything I was looking for in a summer read. I loved being on the cruise with Graeme and Henley. It was interesting learning about the Galapagos too, and I loved Henley’s marketing idea that would benefit the area. The side characters on the cruise also made for some LOL moments. *Im looking at you Nikolai*. The only thing I wish this had was a little emphasis on the enemies bit. It felt sort of one sided to me.

Overall, 5 stars! I couldn’t get enough of Shipped. I hope that Walsh gets her happily ever after and look forward to reading more from Angie Hockman.

Cute for a summer beach read. Gave me the Unhoneymooners vibes, and was mostly enjoyable. The main character wasn’t my favorite, and the romance left me wanting more. Overall I love workplace rivals, enemies-to-lovers and forced proximity. I also loved the cruise ship setting.

While there is nothing new with this rom-com, as I finished another The Getaway by Emily March that has similar concept of looking for exciting work/life balance and getting credited where it is due, this was the more pleasing of the two as it included cruise travel because I read after taking a cruise. Also enjoyed the author note, which she reads on the audiobook, about her travels inspiring her to write and hoping to inspire others to use their influence to help the world. Probably a solid 3.5 but I rounded up. I think many beach readers will love this one as it was pretty breezy.

I wish this had worked for me, but I was just never able to get into it! I tried multiple times but could never get past the first few chapters.

Hello

Apologies for the late notice, but I have decided not to review this title. While I am certain it's obvious by now, I wanted to also clear this off NetGalley, so it's not showing as open for either of us.

Thanks,
Laura

Henley Evans is the marketing manager for a cruise line and a student working towards an MBA. Graeme Crawford-Collins is a social media manager and her nemesis. Too bad they are suddenly short-listed for the same promotion. Henley and Graeme find themselves thrown together on a cruise in the Galapagos where they find they might not hate each other as much as they thought.
This was a fun read which was billed as The Unhoneymooners meets The Hating Game. It was reminiscent of those but almost in a fan-fiction kind of way. Still recommended for fans of Christina Lauren and Sally Thorne.

Shipped is an enemies-to-lovers romance, which tells the story of Henley and Graeme, two people in the marketing industry who venture together into the field to work on their individual project proposals for work—and by “field,” I mean “a cruise to the Galápagos Islands.” Whoever submits the best proposal will get a promotion at work. Henley hates Graeme because of a misunderstanding in the past, so she’s not looking forward to staying with him on the cruise ship and competing against him for the same promotion. Or all the sexual tension between them.

The romance between Henley and Graeme was pretty good, but it didn’t really impress me. While I think the comparison to The Unhoneymooners and The Hating Game is apt, I personally preferred those books over this one. I really liked Graeme and how the author explored the setting, but I felt like some of the secondary plot lines were poorly developed, especially those related to Henley’s sister and how the job promotion was resolved.

That said, Shipped is a cute, breezy summer romance, and if you enjoyed The Unhoneymooners and The Hating Game, then you’ll probably enjoy this novel as well!

This book was downright amazing! Enemies-to-lovers in a tropical setting, I am sold! This was a fantastic rom-com with lovable characters and a great story.

This was brilliant! A very quick read that was done exclusively on the beach! This was my first beach read of the summer and I did not regret it one bit. It was a bit predictable but I loved the idea and plot and the banter between the characters. I love a good enemies to lovers story!

Super fun romance! A little bummed with the fade-to-black, but otherwise, enjoyed the chemistry between the MC’s.

Oh my gosh, this book was SO good!! I loved it so much, I wish I didn’t wait so long to read it. This was such a fun enemies to lovers romance set out on the seas. I thought both Henley and Graham were great characters, but Graham was the best!! The banter and the chemistry between the two was off the charts. If you’re looking for the perfect summer romcom, look no further! I highly recommend this one.

Thank you Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book kept getting mentioned and then Amy mentioned it, so I decided to dive in. It was a fun, summer read and I finished it in just a few days.

I needed a TW for Type A Girl Boss Millennial MC because lord I deal with enough of those IRL and I didn’t need it in my reading.

3.5 stars down to 3 stars for Goodreads. The enemies to lover trope is my least favorite and unfortunately this book's trope. For the 1st 2/3 of this book, I really didn't like most of the characters, but the setting on a cruise to the Galapagos Islands was what I enjoyed most about this book and kept me reading.by the end of the book, the characters redeemed themselves and I felt glad that I continued to the end. I received this e-ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review and extend my thanks for offering me the opportunity.U enjoyed learning sbout the Galapagos Islands. 3.5 stars down to 3 for Goodreads.

Previously on 11/24/21 -I tried listening to the audiobook and did not like the narrator, so I DNF'd it Since I have an ARC and should really review it for NetGalley and the premise sounds like it could be promising, as well as the cover looks great, but one should never judge a book by its cover, I'm hoping to try it again in the future.

The whole career-woman-meets-laidback-dude plot can be tired, dated, and honestly a bit of beating a dead horse, but I actually ended up liking this take on it.

I loved this book! It was full of some of my favorite tropes (hello forced proximity and enemies to lovers) and witty banter. I enjoyed reading Henley's personal growth and her growing attraction to Graeme. I love the chemistry between the two MCs and found them magnetic. The adventure cruise setting was also a fun choice, giving the author a lot of creativity in the situations Henley found herself in. Overall, this is a solid romantic comedy for all romance readers to enjoy.

A funny and witty writing style reminiscent of Emily Henry. The chemistry between Graeme and Henley is what we all long for and I fell a little bit in love with Graeme myself. Brought me to tears more than once. A little too much focus was put on Henley's career pursuits which lowered my rating. An enemies to lovers trope that is well worth the read.

Thank you to Netgalley and Gallery Books for this DRC.

This was super fun. No, it won't go in my classroom, but... I have definitely recommended it to my teacher friends to enjoy with a glass of wine! :)
