When I started this book, I questioned if I'd got this one wrong. However, I persevered and continued reading, I'm so glad I did. This has definitely been an absolutely fantastic read.
Although, slower than I normally like, something about this book had me intrigued so I continued reading and been taken along the path this story has taken.
The author has a writing style that enables the reader to become engaged in what they are reading. This is a book which has been both gripping and addictive.
This is a new author for me, but I will definitely be reading more. I absolutely loved how unpredictable this has been and the author has definitely kept me guessing.
A definite five star read, I highly recommend this book.

So when I started this book I really wasn’t sure but it turned out to be a great read. When Phoebes guardian passes away she leaves her a letter explaining that as a child she was stolen from her mother and hidden in Africa. Following the information she is left she tracks down the woman who may be her birth mother but as she investigates she discovers the truth may be even more disturbing and everything she thought she knew about her life was untrue. This is an exciting thriller and I was blown away by the conclusion.

Mesmerizing. I loved it.
Past
Five years old Maya Jane Duncan went missing without a trace. A terrifying case in British History.
Fifteen Years Later ( Now )
Phoebe Locklear comes to London and goes to a woman's home. Woman's name is Kay Duncan. She knocked on her door and as soon as she appears she tells her that she's her daughter. She tells her that she was in Botswana that's why the police never found her. But Kay remain silent. She's not believing her. Then she shows her a yellow rainhat which belonged to Maya. No result comes.
Suddenly Kay does suicide and Phoebe feels guilty that she's the one who's the reason for that.
A woman raised Phoebe and she and kay have something in common. Even Phoebe's past had a dark secret which could destroy her life even now.
I loved this book's every character. I loved this author's first book Her Perfect Life and now this is more powerful psychological thriller than the first one.
Narration of the story is engrossing and simple.
I've already asked my fellow Authors Bloggers Followers Friends and Family to read this psychological thriller. I'll do more promotion when it will come in the markets.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me an advance copy of this awesome psychological thriller.
