I really tried to like this book because second chance and friends to lovers is a lot of fun for me, but unfortunately I had to DNF it.

Janine Rosche has etched herself a spot on my favorite contemporary romance authors. How she manages to bring so much charm, laughter and swoony moments into a book, yet balances it with some tough issues, moments that you have reaching for the tissues, and hitting your heart is all the right places. This book is a plethora of emotions, but boy oh boy is it good.

Blue. Her character just really spoke to my heart. She had such heartache and turmoil in her life, and while mine is absolutely nothing like hers, Rosche writes her character in such a relatable way that you feel as if you've been there with her. You get where she's coming from, and you can just connect with her. I typically connect with characters that I have experiences in common with, and so this was such a pleasant surprise for me.

And let's not forget our swoony hero. Yeah, Thomas is just that. Swoony. I mean the guy goes into a burning building to save people. Need I say more? Yes I do lol. His heart. He has such a heart for people, and is just totally humble about it. He doesn't want to make a big deal out of stuff, he just wants to do what's right. Um....where are these guys in the real world!? Just kidding. Thomas had his own issues too, but Rosche dealt with those in a very surprising and satisfying way.

I'm not going to lie, I do not want this series to end. But perhaps Rosche will find a new cast of characters to grace us with! And this girl cannot wait to find out. I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book was amazing! I have read two of Janine's stories now, and while they are a bit what you would expect with Christian fiction and the natural story line, they also are so much more! I loved the characters and their brokenness that both pushed them apart and drew them together. This is such a beautiful story!

Glory Falls is the third and final book in Janine Rosche's Madison River Romance series. Though you'll have a better understanding of all characters by reading the previous two books, you can certainly still enjoy this one on it's own. This is a sweet love story, but a great reminder that the road to happily ever after isn't always easy. It is a very emotional read and one you'll want to have tissues handy for.

**I received a complimentary copy of this book for consideration. All thoughts are my own.

Blue and Thomas had the sweetest relationship as children!! I loved the way she did all she could to distract him from the disaster that his parents were and the way he would do anything for her. Even kiss a frog... Her propensity to write scripts for him to act out was very cute!

I really enjoyed Glory Falls. The split-timeline was perfect for revealing events from the past little by little. Thomas' adorable dog, Molly, lightened the more serious thread which was further offset by sweet, romantic moments. Thomas was so amusing with his very serious nature and naiveté regarding relationships and even about flirting! He was a hero, even before his guilt began to drive him to take greater risks to ensure that no one was injured on his watch again! I loved that even though he carried a great weight of guilt, he continued to keep his eyes on the Lord and never wavered in his faith.

Twists in the plot had me surprised and I really didn't see the ending coming. Or that other part. Or the other one...

I have been enjoying the Madison River Romance series and have come to love the people of the little town there. It was fun seeing characters I have already gotten to know and meeting some new ones. While Glory Falls stands alone, enhance your reading of it by starting with the first two books of the series.

I loved so much about this book: finally reading Thomas’s story, the heroine’s profession as a screenwriter, the hero and heroine’s history together as childhood neighbors. The author once again delivers strong prose and excellent characterization while weaving a skillfully layered plot.

Thomas is willing to sacrifice a lot in order to help Blue who helped him so often as he grew up an abusive home. He’ll give up his privacy and let himself be depicted as a hero, though it makes him so uncomfortable. Loved these conflicting values.

Janine is excellent at dropping backstory breadcrumbs and tying story elements together. Nothing feels wasted or unintentional. Their childhoods aren’t the only elements tying these characters together, and as their other history is revealed, we feel for each of them. These overlaps made for great conflict on top of the others. But it never felt overwhelming, only intriguing. I was hooked for the entire story, highlighting, chuckling, savoring.

This reunion romance is like a hug from an old friend—warm and comforting and delightful. I read the whole series in order. I recommend you do the same, so you can track the characters. But you could read this book as a stand-alone. You won’t be lost because Thomas and Blue’s story is best explained (and mostly contained) within this novel.

Book two was by far the toughest read as it included mental health issues and violence. I mentioned in my Net’s Book Notes review of Wildflower Road that I skimmed some flashback scenes. I didn’t have to skim anything here in book three.

I love how Thomas is awkward and humble. He’s not the typical book hero. He broods, but he’s not prideful; he’s broken but he’s strong and capable. Heroic. He thinks in terms of protectiveness and action. I loved this unique and genius element of his characterization.

Another great element is the way Janine weaves faith into her stories—gently and without preaching. Themes in this story include forgiveness, restoration, and redemption. Christian readers will delight in faith-filled values.

His self-sacrificing nature will endear readers to him. The heroine hopes to help him too. It’s two-sided and because she’s competent, giving, and compassionate, we root for her too.

There were a few plot twists, and I loved how the author didn’t settle for predictable events.

Their project (the movie she’s writing about him, see summary) keeps them together and it’s the perfect “call” for Thomas to face his self-image and the buried pain. And all of it overlaps. So well done.

Again, one of my favorite reads and series lately. Loved it! I’ll watch for Janine’s next book, even if this series is over.

"In every story you've told me about your childhood Blue Walker was the main character and catalyst all rolled into one. If there was any chance that you could help her reclaim her life, her happiness, would you do it?"

Thomas Beck is asked this by a co-worker that he has been dating and once again, he is reminded of just what Cecilia "Blue" Walker has meant to him his entire life. Glory Falls is a story of childhood friendship, sweet romance, immense sorrow, and the joy in second chances. I loved Thomas's deep faith and his Christian witness and the fact that even though he'd been hailed as a hometown hero, he only wanted to be a hero to the person who had made him kiss a frog and secretly carried cookies and milk to him and his sister when they didn't have them in their own home. Blue appeared to be competent and fearless but she was haunted by the dreams of her baby girl who had drowned in the Madison River two years earlier. Is the chance to write a screenplay of Thomas's heroic actions the beginning of Blue's healing? How will her return to Glory Falls affect Thomas and the guilt and regrets from his own past?

Janine Rosche has written a lovely story that tugs at your heart but never breaks it! It is, instead, a heartwarming account of hope, forgiveness, and the chance to begin again. Glory Falls makes you believe in God, love, and second chances and I recommend it to all who enjoy contemporary Christian romance.

Glory Falls is a mesmerizing read from start to finish. I’ve loved all of the Madison River Romances but this one has to be my favorite. A childhood friends turned romance is the perfect trope for this novel. This book is equally heartbreaking and equally full of hope. It’s is about great tragedy and finding ways to cope and love again. I highly recommend this book to readers of romance, inspirational books, and women’s fiction. It’s amazing! I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

Glory Falls is the conclusion to the Madison River Romance series. And wow! I seriously got grumpy that I actually had to put it down for one night to sleep and during the day to do all the things. Blue and Thomas will take you on a roller coaster ride until the very end. Goodness, sometimes I wanted to sit Thomas down and give him a talking to, and then at other times, I’d be yelling, “Kiss the girl!”

The frog thing (in the prologue) was genius!

Blue searches for a new beginning and healing from the loss of her daughter and the disintegration of her marriage. Her childhood friend, Thomas is going through his own struggles over the same traumatic event, but Thomas’s struggles go far deeper. I love how the author brought all of these issues to a satisfying conclusion with unexpected twists that had me grinning from ear to ear. Janine Rosche is an author to watch. Her books are not fluffy, superficial romances. They are deep, meaningful, and robust.

I can’t wait to read what’s next in her authorly repertoire.

Do yourself a favor and read the Madison River Series!

This is one beautiful tale. I loved Blue and Thomas's story from the start and really it was the opening lines that pulled me into the story.
I've read the authors previous works and enjoyed them so I was definitely looking forward to this one.
Both Blue and Thomas have suffered through loss and hardship in their lives that they want to start afresh and heal.
It was wonderful to see them reconnect and watch their romance blossom throughout the story.
Janine Rosche is fast becoming a must read author for me.

4.5 Stars

I’ve been following Janine Rosche’s debut series since the first book where we first meet Thomas and in the second books, I wanted to know more about this man, so imagine my delight in discovering Glory Falls grants that wish!!

And let me just say, the wait was worth it. First there’s Thomas. The guy rushes into danger and saves lives but he also saves lives in smaller ways. That’s the true heart of a hero (even when there is a reason behind his motives).

Oh, how my heart hurt for Blue. Her life has hit some painful stretches and Rosche writes her character in such a way that I felt this woman’s pain and suffering—both in the past and the present.

Glory Falls has some hard truths in it. Sometimes things happen in life that we have no explanation for—things like loss and divorce and career failure. Rosche balances out the difficult with moments of humor, the wisdom of friends, and God’s loving grace and healing while giving us an unforgettable romance set alongside the rugged beauty of Montana.

With the Madison River Romance series, Rosche has secured her place among the contemporary romance authors I love to read.

Wow! First of all, if you haven’t read the two books in the series before this one, you can still enjoy Glory Falls. However, I highly recommend that you read the entire series simply because it is so good!

I enjoyed the first two books in the Madison River Romance series, but Glory Falls is by far my absolute favorite of the three novels! The connection between Blue and Thomas was amazing, yet it didn’t mean that things just fell into place for them. There was a lot of trauma in both of their backstories, making their second chance at love even more special.

I loved seeing Thomas open up to Blue and begin to show those emotions that he always kept tucked away. And I loved seeing how Blue was just a normal girl away from all of the trappings of Hollywood.

This story is not for the faint of heart, however, and there are events in this book, especially in flashbacks and dreams that could trigger some people. These things are related to the drowning death of a child. The author handled everything so well and captured the emotions of these characters in an amazingly convincing way. This book tugged on my heart yet made me feel uplifted and hopeful when I turned the final page.

Wow!! I am in love with Glory Falls!! This is not your typical contemporary romance, which was so refreshing to me, because I am getting tired of that same, old 'everything is perfect when you fall in love' troupe. I've been ready for some real and Glory Falls brings the real.

Glory Falls takes you into the dark, the deep, the messy and dirty, which we all can agree is true to life, especially right now. Blue Walker is a dreamer that has lived her life like it's a movie, dreaming of one day being a screenwriter like her father. I loved this so much because when I was growing up I too imagined that my life was a movie playing, and there was always someone watching, but my dream was more to be the star in the movie and not necessarily write the narrative.

From the onset, you can feel the heart emanating from this book. You can tell the author poured a bit of her soul into this novel, and it is truly breathtaking. I was awe-struck by the heartbreak that Blue has had to endure in her short life. I cannot even begin to imagine going through what she's been through, but thank goodness she has her lifelong best friend, Thomas Beck to help balance her, and help her through this difficult time. Sadly, Thomas is going through his own issues as well, that are also very dark and deep.

The inner dialogue of both Blue and Thomas has so much depth, leaving no room for interpretation. It is clear what they both are struggling with, and it's this rawness and vulnerability that made me fall in love with both of these characters.

Thomas is the hero that never wants to be in the spotlight, yet he agrees to let Blue write a screenplay about his life. What she doesn't know is that he is burdened with a secret that he can't let go of, no matter how many lives he saves and good deeds he does. I wanted to reach through the pages, grab Thomas, squeeze him as hard as I could, and let him know it's ok to forgive himself, and tell him to let it go. He beat himself raw through this whole novel and it was truly heartbreaking to witness, especially since this man has one of the biggest and selfless hearts I have ever seen.

There are moments in Glory Falls when I felt tears threatening to surface, and moments when my heart was beating wildly as I quickly read what was going to happen next, the suspense of the moment so very real. I devoured this novel, hating every moment I had to put it down. This is the first book that I've read in the Madison River series, but you better believe I'm going to go back and read the first two books. If they are anything like Glory Falls I know I am in for a treat!

It's been awhile since a book has hit me this hard, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! It is a book that truly touched my soul, and is my first MUST READ of 2021.

"We're fallen people - even the best of us. Our job is to try and then do everything we can to make things right when we fail."

I can't believe this is my first Janine Rosche book. When I initially heard all the buzz about her books last year, I hadn't had the bandwidth to invest in a new author but I'm so glad that I did now. Filled with gut-wrenching raw emotions, lovable yet broken and hurting characters, and tangible faith lessons, the story is well-crafted and perfect for those who love contemporary romance.

The lifelong friendship between Blue and Thomas is a treasure and I really enjoyed all the flashbacks and their nostalgic reminiscence. Their backstories, especially what happened while their friendship drifted apart, emerge slowly at just the right times in the plot to give a complete picture of who Blue and Thomas are now and what motivates them. There is heart-wrecking grief as Blue struggles with the loss of her child and marriage and as she swims in a sea of insecurity. Thomas' grief, guilt and fear are equally heart-breaking and truly shows what kind of a hero he is. Blue and Thomas are both very complex characters and I loved getting to know them one layer at a time. And Thomas! He is the epitome of a swoony hero - so humble, dependable, loyal, noble, and sacrificial. This book has all the feels as well as redemption, forgiveness, and a happily-ever-after.

If you enjoy contemporary romance, this book is a must-read for 2021!

What a lovely story of redemption, forgiveness and overcoming loss. This is book three in the Madison River series and I have to say that although I had not issue reading this as a stand alone novel I do want to read the first two so I get to know the characters a little better. This story focuses on Thomas and Blue and I was all for it!! Right from the start you meet them in the cutest and heart warming of scenes as they are both children and you right away are pulled at the heartstrings and are rooting for Thomas and Blue.

Right away we meet Thomas who comes from a background in which his parents are less then ideal. He grows up way too soon and loses his best friend in the process as Blue goes off to college, marries and realizes her dreams of becoming a movie screenwriter. However she returns home grief stricken not only is she carrying the pain of her losing her baby but also losing her husband to a divorce and her life in California as a screenwriter. She comes home to get away from it all but in the process re-establishes her friendships.

The romance aspect of this story is at times swoon worthy! Thomas is the perfect guy, you cannot help but fall in love with him. He is a little slow when it comes to the romance department but its understandable as he doesn't want to lose the most important person in his life which is Blue. Seriously at times its comical when his friends tease him about it.

Now both of them have past hurts and things that they need to deal with which makes these characters very relatable. It makes the story so emotional when they finally just lay it all down and make amends with God and fully start relying on Him. I won't ruin the story for you but boy there are definitely some characters (one in particular that you just want to slap over the head!) Trust me you will know who I am talking about as soon as you read it!

Overall I thought this story was a good one! It was my first by this author but definitely won't be my last! I have already added her to my TBR authors list!

I absolutely loved this book. It's an amazing ending to the Madison River Series. Make sure to read the series in order, though.

In Glory Falls, we see Thomas and Blue as they struggle to overcome very deep hurt in both their lives. I adore the friends to more trope, and Rosche does it so well.

I love Janine Rosche's writing style. She deals with very real world problems, and over the course of the book, leads you through the whole gamut of emotions. I laughed, swooned, cried, and mourned with the characters of Glory Falls.

I'm so sad to see the series come to an end, but I know Rosche will draw me into her next story immediately.

This book has all the feels!! I am a total sucker for the friends to more romance trope so this story was perfect for me. It probably has to do with my own age and life experience, but I appreciated that Cecilia and Thomas had done some living and yet still found their way back to each other. As Janine Rosche has shown throughout this entire series, her books take readers on a rollercoaster of emotions. You might be laughing at some banter between the characters one minute and then be totally heartbroken for them the next. She is not afraid to tackle tough issues in her books like the loss of a child, growing up in a dysfunctional family, or infidelity. However, she handles all of these situations well.

I have adored each book in the series, but this just might be my favorite. I loved Robbie and Shane, but Thomas is in a hero category all his own. I suppose Glory Falls could be read as a standalone, but you would be missing out on the the other couples stories from the first two books. Having read the others in the series, I appreciated the updates on all of their lives so much more. Although I was sad to see the series end, I am looking forward to Janine Rosche's next series which releases later this year.

I am sad to see this series end as I’ve enjoyed getting cameos from the first two books and have fallen in love with this small town of West Yellowstone. But the third books in a series are always my favorite when the hero or heroine have appeared all along. We finally get the full Thomas story in this friends-to-more romance, and it does not disappoint! Grief and guilt meet God’s heart for redemption and freedom. What a powerful story! Five stars!

Glory Falls is a wonderful conclusion to an amazing series! I can gush on and on about this story but I fear you’d lose interest after my twenty-paragraph spiel on how swoony Thomas is. So I’ll stick to my main fangirl points. Well, I’ll give it my best effort. One thing I love about this author’s writing is that she’s not afraid to delve into delicate topics. In this case, the heroine, Blue Walker, copes with child loss. While this subject is a heavy one, its couched in lighter scenes and blissful moments that encourage the reader to both process the pain as well as breathe in the healing right along with the heroine. The approach was beautiful and necessary.

Thomas time! We get glimpses of the hero, Thomas Beck, in the first two books in this series, but in Glory Falls, he takes center stage. Though if you read this story, you will discover Thomas is NOT a “center stage” kinda guy. He shies from the spotlight and would rather aim the focus on anyone but himself. But with his selfless attitude, drive to do what’s right, and penchant to get into dangerous situations, the guy can’t help but attract attention. He’s the strong silent type with a loyal heart. Basically everything I love in a hero! Also I gotta say that this story features one of my FAVORITE tropes - the best friends to more!

Blue Walker has been through tragedy after tragedy and my heart tore for her from the very first chapter. I wanted her to find happiness beyond her own guilt and feelings of inadequacy. I adored all the heroines in this series, but I could relate the most to Blue. I was nodding my head while reading her internal struggles and fears. Make sure you have tissues close, because her “awakening” moment made me tear up! Which leads me to my next gushing point - THE EMOTIONS!

Seriously, my emotions were all over the place with this story! One minute I’m snort-laughing and the very next I’m wistfully sighing. Hello, Swoony Thomas kissing scene!!!! Umm yeah, where was I? Oh, and I need to mention all the fabulous nods to classic movies! The Singing in the Rain reenactment! George Bailey references! Shout outs to It Happened One Night. Seriously, my vintage-film-loving heart was elated!

Last thing, I promise. The cast of characters! The author had written this series in such a way that I felt I was right there with them at Ollie’s. Scrunching my nose at Robbie and Keira’s excessive PDA. Laughing at Ryann’s quips. Smiling at the sibling banter. I’m really going to miss this bunch!

But I have total trust in this author’s amazing ability to introduce me to a new crew in her next series that I am convinced I’ll adore just as much!
