I honestly can't with these two. JUST GROW UP. STOP IT. I understand the genre of bully to lovers and it can be done well, but I'm just not into this. It wasn't written particularly well and Logan isn't just a "bully" - he's cruel and horrible and I hated him.

I have never read this author and picked the book solely on the synopsis. The blurb appeared to be right up my alley. Sadly, I never made it past the first few chapters. I tried to read this book over the course of a few months and then finally called it a DNF.

While it seemed really promising, the writing style did not gel with me. Maybe I"ll try again later this year.

I adored this book. This was my first time reading from this author and i absolutely loved it. Enemies to lovers is my fave trope and this is definitely one of my faves I’ve read

I really wasn't a fan of Logan in the previous book. He came off as insensitive, callous and completely selfish. He didn't treat his own foster sister, Piper, well so it was no surprise that he wasn't much better regarding Danika. I knew he had some issues, but I didn't think I could empathize with him. However, once I started reading this, while I'm still not a Logan fan, I understand him better and see that he really does care and when he makes up his mind about something, he does remain loyal.

Danika may be kind and compassionate, but she is no one's pushover. I liked that aspect about her a lot, she doesn't sit around and watch others get mistreated nor does she hesitate to throw a punch of her own. She's completely infatuated with Logan and it doesn't seem to serve her well because he's outwardly cruel to her. Until he finally has his aha moment and decides otherwise. I thought the antagonism worked between them but when the switch flipped, it seemed like a less natural dynamic between them because of the abrupt transition.

There's also other drama involved with fellow classmates that is over the top, plus Logan's secret. The story did not flow as smooth as it should have and ends on a very abrupt cliffhanger with a very pivotal point. I doubt I will read the sequel since I'm not a huge fan of Logan, but I suspect I know where things will go with Danika and don't want to wind up disliking her, too.

This book has so many great reviews and I really wanted to like it but I found the characters to immature and couldn't get into it. I hate giving bad reviews and like I said this ones has a lot of good ones so give it a chance as you might like it, it just wasn't for me

I didn't think it was going to happen but I got hooked into this story. It had so many different elements, one moment your riding high the next your swinging down so far wondering what just happened. It was a journey reading this story about Logan and Danika. They went through so much together but I feel like they were meant to be together, their souls were meant to see each other again.

Again there was so much happening and without giving too much away, there were different types of abuse, there were strong bonds explored, there were a number of firsts, there were some mean kids, some tragedy but overcoming all of that there was love. Love between two people who found each other again and who needed each other. It was beautiful and raw and real. Things happen but it's how you handle them or find the people who can help you get through them together that makes you the stronger person. There is never anything wrong with asking for help or seeking it out.ee r

I loved this book and didn't want it to end because I just needed to know what was going to happen next, so you know I'm jumping into that second book asap.

All the characters were good and relatable and understanding. The story was great, so much is happening you couldn't help but feel for them both. But I have so many unanswered questions that there is definitely a need to finish their story. Can't wait!

I enjoyed the writing style, but I felt like the book could have used some major editing. The pacing was odd; slow, then fast, then slow, then blah. This is sort of supposed to be a second-chance romance story, but we didn't get to see or understand enough of their previous relationship to make it believable to me and I wasn't invested in it at all. I think with some editing and a little fleshing out of their history, this would have captured my attention much more thoroughly; as it is, I really struggled to keep picking up the story because I just didn't really care.

I Hate you, I Love you Part 1 by Bailey B five heart-breaking star read. This is number two in the Broken Love series and it was so good I immediately pre-ordered part 2, before I was even halfway through this one. I adored the first novel in the series and was worried that the author wouldn’t be able to keep the angst and drama level so high, while still having a good story, usually I find the favour one over the other, but wow this author manages it so well, considering these are their first few works that shows real talent. I love coming across an author like this as they have a refreshing voice that is really good. I was umming and arring about if I should read this one or wait for number two to drop and I read it, but was so consumed by it its taken me almost a week to sit and write this review, I didn’t want to just sit and write what I enjoyed as I couldn’t put in to words how emotionally gripping this story was, it could be written as a bunch of teenage drama, but there is a realness and a great depth to the characters, that make them wise beyond their years and I will be honest when I read the first story I wasn’t a huge fan of the main character in this story Logan was someone I kinda wanted to throat punch, he just irritated me, but then we got to know the real Logan and not the façade he shows to the world and no more throat punching feelings, just gratitude and honour that he was so strong. Now stop reading and go pick up this amazing story and then pick up the next one and whatever else this author comes up with as I am sure there will be many great stories to come.

Title: Good but heavy

Content:
I liked the story but it was a bit too heavy for me. Just wanted to warn everyone around. The blurb does say some of the trigger points such as sex, drug abuse, and more but many weren’t exposed. Some other things that annoyed me and scared me were the way they acted to each other. It was rough to read this story and I have to say I wasn’t able to complete it. I liked the suspense in this story and the plot but that wasn’t able to stop me from dropping it.

People who like heavier concepts, sex scenes, and mature language will like this book for sure. But people who like softer, more emotional novels such as me will most likely have the same thoughts as me.

I wrote this voluntary review in exchange for an ARC copy.

I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review, and here it is...

I *really* thought this was going to be a four star novel. It's not.

It's not bad! There is just certainly room for improvement. If you want an easy enemies to lovers book to read in one sitting that you don't have to commit much thought to, this is the novel for you.

Things I liked:

- The multiple POV's! It was nice to see what was going on in Logan's head too, and made certain actions more believable or understandable.
- The backstory. Again, the fact that these characters have a history makes the story more believable. I'm sick of the insta-love in these kind of novels.
- There was a bit of mystery/intrigue that I was not immediately able to guess at. It's a large part of why I kept reading.
- I love our book boyfriend's backstory. Appreciate that he didn't just pop out of his mom's vagina as a badass.
- The fights were mostly realistic. I liked that the characters didn't demolish their opponents in a single blow and that they walked out of each fight with their own war-wounds.
- THE BREAKFAST SCENE. Or rather, the meaning behind it. Seriously, I cried. That's a difficult thing to achieve with me.
- I like that it made sense why Logan tried to push Danika away (in the beginning). With most enemies to lovers romances that part feels forced.
- PIPER! Can't wait to dive more into her story.

Things I didn't like:

- The climax was set up about a handful of pages before it happened, and it was very obvious what was going to happen.
- Logan's reaction to a particular event towards the end was COMPLETELY out of character. Felt like the author needed a reason for some drama there and used Logan as a scapegoat to get the ending she wanted.
- Speaking of the ending - way too rush. We were moving at a pretty nice pace and then suddenly my attention was being pulled in twelve different directions like the author had a "maximum word count" on her novel and she was running out of space. It almost felt like the author lost interest in telling her own story and went for shock value.
- ZERO positive parental influence in this story. Seriously, these kids are just running wild. Danika's dad is trying though, but he's been through a lot. Still needs work.

My recommendation? It's a solid 3 stars. Will you LOVE it? Probably not. Will you HATE it? Also probably not. It's a solid middle ground. You have to take in account that this genre of book RARELY isn't full of holes. As long as you're not expecting a masterpiece, I don't think you'll regret buying it.

Basically the title of the book is a great description of how you're going to feel reading it.

This book was not for me. I went into this fully understanding that this was a bully/enemies to lovers novel and I have read my fair share of this genre. Some done great, some not. However, in my honest opinion, this could have been written so much better.
The idea behind the secret from the past was super intriguing and kept me turning the pages in the beginning. Other than that there was nothing that kept me captivated.
I found the school life repetitive. Especially involving melody... she could have been such a conniving character if she had shown some Intelligence, but I found her weak for a supposed bully. And their banter got boring really fast. Where was the teachers involvement? We only read the councilor being involved after the fight on the first day... I can’t believe there was nothing after a physical altercation left a student bleeding and missing the rest of the school day.
The way women are portrayed in this book turns my insides and was the majority of the reason for my rating. Danika, after her previous life should be the strongest character, but she’s naive. Her views of Gunner are just dumb. His actions speak way louder than her thought process. Drugs, how fast he tries to move with her and the word of others should make her more cautious than her “he’s cute and a nice guy” views.
The way women are portrayed in this book, as mindless followers really bothers me.
“It doesn’t matter that I piss her off and push her away, she always comes back.” Ugh.
Girls physical fight and call each other names, over obvious assholes with no respect. Not my kind of book.
I also found how the characters reacted to pipers attempted suicide unrealistic. She goes to the hospital on a Friday night and gets released and can be back to school by the following Friday?? Hmmm unlikely. Where is the suicide watch. Where are the councilors? Where is social services?
I know my opinion is a minority and that many people love this style. I just believe that the characters and the plot had potential to be amazing but fell really flat for me.
Thanks to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.

This book started off great, but then seemed to fizzle out for me about halfway through. I did finish it, but debated DNFing it. I would be interested in reading part 2, as I'd like to see where it does end up going. But this one was just so-so for me.

If you haven't read Beautifully Broken yet, I would recommend that you read that one first. When you meet Logan there, you can't but help to wonder what is his story. And in Part 1 of I Hate You, I Love You Bailey B will leave you torn, crying and utterly in love with Logan.
And let's not forget about Danika. She is the missing piece of Logan's puzzle and you can't help but root for them. Unfortunately, the story ends on a cliffhanger so now we have to wait for part two.
I Hate You and I Love You Bailey B! Five out of five stars from me and awaiting the second part of this duology with a special thanks to Netgalley for providing the arc.

Thank you for the free copy from NetGalley for exchange for a honest review. I thought this book was a stand alone though you can still read it didn’t take away from the story. I love these two characters Logan and Danika, I love reading there journey. They have both been through so much the author has you feeling for both of them it tug’s at your heart. A great 5 star read

Happy Reading

Two damaged teenagers yearning for something to make them feel whole. Danika and Logan were inseparable as kids until Danika moved away. Now that she has moved back years later, everything is different, but everything is the same as well. Logan, terrified Danika will reveal past truths about him, pushes her away. Eventually things come to a head and they realize what they have known all along..they were made for each other.
Once I started this book, I just couldn't put it down. Logan and Danika consume you and steal the breath from your lungs. Both have been through so much it just breaks my heart.
Obviously with it being part 1, I was prepared for a cliffhanger.. so with my heart hurting right alone with them, I am completely invested in seeing these two get their happily ever after and i can't wait to start part 2!

What I thought would be a high school bully romance turned out to be so much more. Logan and Danika were best friends until Danika moved. After three years Danika returns, and Logan isn’t welcoming. But Danika is determined to get her old friend back. As the story continues you learn more about there sad past. This is part 1, so it did end on a cliffhanger. And it can’t come soon enough, I want to know what happens!

I really don't even know where to start with this book. To say this isn't my cup of tea is an understatement.

This is my first book by Bailey B. Everyone seems to love this series, but I just can't get into it. There are so many things that bug me that I had to stop at 27%. I HATE not finishing books, but honestly - there is absolutely no way that I will read book 2 (the author admits this ends on a cliffhanger, but their HEA comes in book 2), so I figured it's best to cut my losses.

Every single character in this book is despicable. First of all, where are all the adults? These high school kids get into knock down drag out fights at school, have sex in empty classrooms, attend parties at houses where kids are having sex, doing drugs, etc. Girls kneel down in front of boys to give BJs on command - in front of other high school kids. I mean - what the ever loving hell? And the kids aren't even nice - they are rude to each other, use each other, stab each other in the back, etc. I honestly didn't meet one nice person in the book. Too much drama. It was so depressing to me that I just didn't even want to be in that world any longer,

I feel bad giving a bad review because I know the author spent time and effort creating this book,

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. The opinions above are mine without biases.

Do you all remember that series Paper Princess? Yes. This is like that.
It should have trigger warnings for: suicide, cutting, alcohol, drugs, attempted rape, child molestation ref, parental abuse, abortion talk, and prob a few I am missing.
This book in short is F'd up. There is a lot. Yes it has romance and sweet moments but it has a lot of messed up pieces. If you can handle those it's a short read and part 1 of 2. So it does end on a cliffhanger. Just go in knowing what you should expect and you can def read this.
