I love rockstar romances but this one just didn't flow right for me. Too much going on and too many voices not properly introduced. You think your reading one character but then it turns out to be someone totally different. Sadly not for me

With You A Rockstar Romance (Rocked in Love 1)
by Jessica Marlowe

The first part starts with Emily on the run up to her wedding, she finds her fiancé cheating and she hasn’t left her home since. Her friend decides to take her out of herself by taking her to a rock concert thus meeting Jack. Jack is very keen and someone who has a heart of gold but Emily not so understandably.

Well written story which is part of a trilogy.

Nice book to read draws you in as you want to find out will they come together at the end or not. Very enjoyable.

A promising start to what is set to be a wonderful series!
The characters are unique and intriguing, and following the story of Emily who is trying to recover from the hurt and betrayal of her ex-fiancé who had cheated on her, she ends up meeting Jack, a swoon worthy rock star/

This story sucks you in instantly, and has a well structured storyline that really keeps your attention throughout.
I can't wait to continue this series!.

Rockstar romance is one of my addiction
Said so this book has potential and flaws
Jack and Emily characters were well developed and written their reaction are likely to be no OTT or strange behaviour they both come from bad relationship and their beginning is difficult more for her than for him
The story ends with a cliffhanger a
I hate them.
I star less fort too many plots
Confusing
I just reviewed With You by Jessica Marlowe. #WithYou #NetGalley

I generally love a rock star romance, but this was not one of my favorites. I made it about halfway through, before I just couldn't anymore. There is not a lot of what I would call "enthusiastic consent" in this book. Emily repeatedly says no and he does not take no for an answer. She doesn't want to go to the show, but she goes anyway for her friend. She doesn't want to go backstage, but she goes anyway and her friend ditches her. She doesn't want a ride home, but she ends up in back of his car. She doesn't want to go to his hotel room, but she ends up in his hotel room. She sleeps with him and says she has to leave in the morning, but he talks her into skipping a work meeting and staying with him. The writing was just fine and the characters had rich lives, but I couldn't get over how many times she said no and he ignored her or steamrolled over her. Needless to say, this was not the right book for me.

I tried enjoying this book.
The story itself was difficult to follow as there were wayyy too many characters and so much was going on.

I love a good rock star romance as much as the next reader but this one had a tough time capturing my interest. The main characters, Jack, and Emily, were intriguing but their old night stand turning into more just wasn't for me.

4 Stars for this sweet rockstar romance!

Emily caught her fiancé cheating three weeks before their wedding day. She hasn't left her apartment since, so her best friend Nicki drags her to a rock concert. When Jack (the singer in the band) spies the beauty in the fifth row, he has to meet her ... so he asks her to come backstage after the concert. Emily doesn't want to go, but Nicki is so excited that she can't say no. There is an instant connection between Jack and Emily. Emily agrees to a one-night stand ... after all, Jack's a rockstar and he wouldn't want a relationship ... right? But the more time Jack spends with Emily, the more he wants!

I just loved Jack and Emily ... I could feel the chemistry between them. I really loved that Jack was the one who was infatuated from the beginning ... it was a nice change from this role always being played by the female lead. It was getting to be a bit much with Emily saying "no" all the time when all Jack wanted was more time with her. Normally I don't like it when there are lots of characters to keep track of, but these characters were all so interesting and I know they all have a story to be told ... and I sure hope we get to read them. A great start to the series and I can't wait to dive into the next book.

I enjoyed this. It's got a satisfying blend of romance, spice, emotion, drama, and has an engaging story. And of course, an awesome rock star as the lead male character, which never hurts. It's the first in a trilogy, so there is some unfinished business, but it still holds up as its own full story with a conclusion that feels like a natural ending. I certainly want to see what comes next, but I don't feel at all cheated. If you enjoy rock star romances, this won't disappoint.

This was a book i could easily put down. The story seemed far fetched. I ike when there is a bit of a challenge between the characters and with this, Jack fell in love with emily at first sigh, form almost page one, and I lost interest

I so, so wanted to love this book. Rock romances are my catnip. And I did actually love the concert description. So many authors have trouble hitting the nail on this part, but Marlowe is a true rock chick. I was transported to a concert setting where the music was pulsating through my entire body and took on a life all its own.

The story itself was difficult to follow as there were too many characters and so much was going on. Add to that, the fact that Emily was dead set on not wanting anything to do with Jack during most of the first half, I honestly thought they’d never have a decent conversation. There are several other subplots that left me intrigued as the book ends with a cliffhanger.

I did love Jack McBride, the rock group’s singer who falls instantly in love with the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen. He spotted her in the middle of the crowd in one of his concerts and spends a good part of the book trying to convince to give him a shot. He’s super nice, thoughtful and does everything to make Emily swoon. Emily on the other hand was a tough pill to swallow, she was reluctant for the most part with a tendency for mood swings.

With You is book #1 of the Rocked in Love trilogy by author Jessica Marlowe. It told from various points of view ending with a cliffhanger.

I received a complimentary copy of Jessica Marlowe's Rocked in Love Series including With You, No More Yesterdays, and All your Tomorrows in exchange for an honest review.

Pros-Writing Style was well done, and had several good themes. There was drama, trauma, alcohol/drug abuse/family life/bedroom scenes, stalking, and everything in between,

Cons-Way too many characters, side themes, and just filler stories that went no where (I could care less how many breakfasts Em and Jack ate together and what types of food they ordered or made- this whole series contained examples like this). I also felt like the author kept going repeating the same themes over and over,

Opinion: One book could have covered the entire series and did this series more justice. Since Book 2 & 3 were just continuations, of book 1 and not spin off characters, I found myself skimming the last two books, and I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything. I will admit the finale in Book 3 brought me to the finish line, and left me with a good lasting impression.

This book has a lot going on and I often found myself wondering who certain people were and how they related to the story. It eventually settled but a little late into the book so keep going!
If you’re expecting a stereotypical boy meets girl, girl says no, they have sex and fall in love ... yes this is that book. However I enjoyed it because I wanted something easy to read. Yes Emily changes her mind every 5 minutes (what woman doesn’t) and Jack is a softie but it kind of works. I wasn’t sure when reading if this series focussed on different people in each book as I would love to read more about Elliott! However it looks as though the whole series is about Jack and Emily.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this book.

This book was absolutely amazing and the author did a wonderful job with captivating her audience!

Emily Prescott (writer) believes she has it all, she's happy, in love, writing a book and planning her wedding and honeymoon.of the century until an unexpected change of events that end up being life changing and causes her to meet and fall for one she vowed to never date or love, musician and/or extraordinaire, Jack McBride.

If you love romance, this book is for you. I literally could not put it down.

Please read today you will not be disappointed.

Loved this story. Even a rock star can fall in love at first sight. Jack sees Emily in the crowd, picks her out and invites her and her zany friend backstage. Humorous, with characters that are likable and real. Rooting for a happy ending. Jack is a real sweetheart.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with this book for review. If you can overlook the unrealistic nature of instalove, Emily and Jack were interesting enough but the writing was all over the place. Some side characters had over the top reactions for things that just came out of nowhere and gave me whiplash. The two main characters (Jack and Emily) made choices that would make any sane person trying to date them run in the opposite direction and I didn’t feel like the complete 180 from Emily every couple of pages made any sense whatsoever.

What do you do when your world crumbles, your very best friend had a bad break up, it’s her birthday, and she has concert tickets? Well you end up at a concert of a rock band. Emily found her fiancé cheating shortly before her wedding. This is the last place she wants to be and should know better when it comes to Nikki.

Jack is the lead singer but his band is family. There is a woman in the crowd who catches his attention and he knows she’s different. What starts as a meet ends up in a very adventurous few days.

There is someone out to get Jack and hurt his band, his heart is in the line with a broken woman. It’s a pretty good book and I enjoyed it a lot.

Thank you NetGalley, BooksGoSocial and Jessica Marlowe for gifting me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
I’m going to start by saying there was A LOT going on in this one. With books there is such a fine line between a rounded list of characters and just too many damn people. Unfortunately With You leans towards the later.
I enjoyed the story but I found the writing style distracting and just not my cup of tea. I have two next two books in the series downloaded but I think I’ll be skipping those after reading this one!
