Sext with Me is the story of the shy new Librarian and the older Human Sexualities Professor at Talmadge University. Their attraction to one another is instant but they both try to avoid it for several reasons. You follow along as they develop a friendship and take action on their attraction. There are twists and turns along the way. I had expected more sexts because of the title, but that was only a small part of the book.

This was a cute book. I do love that the main character Talia grew in the book from a former student at the school she had just graduated from to a member of the faculty. It was a nice progression to watch because that is a real growth point. I would have loved to learn more about her love of books and if she read erotica and such so when she started sexting, it wouldn't have been so abrupt with the quasi naughty. I loved Talia's relationship with her grandmother because it seemed genuine . Maxwell was exactly what someone would think of as a teacher I think, minus the cardigans with the elbow patches. I loved how pure he was with Talia once he opened up to her. Once he realized it was real and he could say all the things he hated. It warmed my heart.

Talia and Max were likable enough but at times i found them very stuffy. That’s the easiest way to explain it. The story was a intriguing but it didn’t have the wow factor that I was hoping for. It wasn’t a bad book though. I just really connect with the book or story as a whole.

There wasn't a lot in this book. An expanded plot line and fuller characters would have improved it. Also, as someone in academia, the aspects of university life that weren't accurately depicted drove me crazy.

This was a fun sexy read. I didn’t love how the relationship developed but I did enjoy the fun sexting scene.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Loveswept for allowing me to read this eARC for an honest review.

Sext with Me was a very easy read. I appreciated the flow of the story, although I feel that the end was rushed. I do have to say, for a book about sexting, there wasn't a lot of sexting going on. There were maybe 3-4 times that sexting occurred, and I think that was not enough since the book is based around the sexting relationship of the main characters. That being said, I do have to say that the sexting conversations made me a bit uncomfortable. Had the actions been happening in real time, I wouldn't have minded as much. I think I was just uncomfortable with the text conversation in general. If you're into sexting, these parts of the book will be right up your alley.

Again, I did like the writing and I liked the two main characters. I also liked the side characters, especially Gran and Maxwell's mom. I liked how they added subtly to Max and Talia's stories.

Overall, liked this story. It didn't blow my mind but it wasn't bad! It was a short and fun smutty read, and even though the sexting made me uncomfortable at times, I did like that it was something I hadn't read in a book before.

I have recently discovered the joys of new adult (this is a whole conversation, but when I say new adult in this context, I mean the romance-centred, twenty-something variety), and so I was really excited for SEXT WITH ME.

Unfortunately, this book just did not go as I hoped it would. The main relationship in the book between Maxwell and Thalia doesn't get going until halfway through, which normally wouldn't be a big issue for me, because that could be indicative of an actual relationship being built. However, Maxwell isn't likeable and Thalia's personal life is, to be blunt, boring. I just don't get these two people coming together.

When they finally do come together, the sexual tension... falls flat. I didn't feel the deep desire for them to find a way to turn this sexting game into a relationship. Also, the big fight (presumably the conflict of the novel), doesn't make a whole lot of sense, because they're both equally "guilty" (I use quotation marks because I don't really see how the conflict is an actual conflict...)

Anyway, I found SEXT WITH ME a little disappointing.

If you like sexting, then this book is for you.
If you like boss/employee book, this book is for you.
If you like older man/ younger women, this book is for you.

This book wasn't for me....

I always think that I like books that including sexting, but then I read certain ones, and I realize I don't really care for actual sexting, typing out a whole sexual fantasy as though it if is actually happening, while in reality those people are doing something completely different while typing said things, THAT makes me cringe. I guess I just actually like racy flirtations via text. This had me thinking it was more of a slow burn type romance, and then it picked up with the sexting, but then the sexting made me cringe - not because it wasn't sexy, it just didn't flow how I wanted it to, and apparently reading sexting, just like IRL, makes me purse my mouth while clenching my teeth and shake my head no. A few times towards the beginning I thought this would be a DNF for me, but I'm glad I stuck with it, and it turned out to be pleasant read. It won't be on my re-read list, but I'm not sad I read it.

My rating of 3 stars means it was okay, and I finished it.

I received a free copy of this book and am giving my review voluntarily.

Heroine Talia King and hero Maxwell Radclyffe break all kinds of rules for successful faculty mentoring, most notably by having a sexual relationship. There are too many underdeveloped side plots and characters--I couldn't keep track of the MCs friends and co-workers (and I usually feel like I'm pretty smart). Perhaps because it's a book about sexting, those sexts were much hotter than the actual sex... which was disappointing. Unless you really, really want to read about sexting or are desperate for some older man/younger woman, faculty mentor/mentee romance, I'd skip it.
