This is the 3rd in the Sutter's Hollow series. It's Noah and Jilly's story. I haven't read the others in the series yet but I am looking forward to learning of their stories, too.

Noah was injured after graduation and as a result lost his sight. He was grumpy and wanted to remain a loner. He rarely, if ever, left his home and he liked it that way. Then three small children and their foster mom worked their way into his heart. He thought he was satisfied with his life as it had been but he didn't know what he was missing. Was the possibility of more pain worth the possible reward he might have if he let himself be vulnerable again. Was love worth the risk?

This story was a clean, wholesome, emotional rollercoaster of a ride. Jilly and Noah both had painful pasts that left huge scars on their hearts making them believe they didn't deserve more than what they already had. I stayed up way too late to finish this wonderful story but it was worth the missed sleep for the happy ending.

I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.

I received this book from NetGalley to review and I am so pleased that I was. The story is about Jilly who had a friend in High School that had an accident and lost his site. Years later she moves into the family home and discovers that Noah is living next door and has become a recluse. Jilly understands this but has her hands full with 3 foster children who are doing everything they can to torment and interrupt Noah as he is working and issues of her own.. Little by little the youngest starts to bring him out of his shell and we learn about their past, see their future and discover that no matter what love can endure.
This is a perfect beach read for this summer or just a wonderful curl up in front of the loose yourself in their lives.

Complementary copy given for honest review and opinion.
This was a good wholesome romance for all ages. Disabilities can wreck havoc on your life but love can smooth all of those edges. This is a sweet read.

This was such an enjoyable book to read. The main characters, Noah and Jilly both have wounds from the past that prevent them from moving forward. The characters’ flaws and vulnerabilities make them so likable, and I really enjoyed the character growth and development. This book touches on all kinds of hard topics such as disability, cancer, and foster care in a real and touching way. You know a book is good when you start looking into the author’s other titles to read in the future. I would definitely recommend this book!

I gobbled this up in one day. Another great read from Lacy Williams. I love the author’s writing style and voice, and I especially love her talent for weaving in emotion with realistic circumstances.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked up this book. In Secondhand Cowboy, I didn’t like either Jilly or Noah. But what the author delivered surprised me. I loved how the hero and heroine were constantly butting heads competitively. They were the perfect match for each other, and the perfect complementary pair to get each other to open up about their painful pasts.

Looking forward to reading more of this author’s work!

Cowgirl Next Door was a great book I couldn't put down. Jilly moved in next door to Noah, they had been friends in High school. But that was before he had been in an accident and lost his sight permanently. Noah preferred to be left alone, so he could work without any interruptions. Jilly was taking care of three foster kids, one that was a very stubborn trouble maker. Somehow, through vandalism and other problems, Noah and Jilly become closer friends than they had been previously, and soon became more than friends. A lovely story for anyone who likes clean romances!

This was probably my favorite book of the series. I really felt all the emotions of this book and I became invested in both Jilly and in Noah. I even became invested in the kids. I liked how it was work, not insta.

Thank you to Williams and Netgalley for an advanced reader copy in exchange for a fair review. These opinions are my own.

This is the second book by Lacy Williams I have read and I enjoyed it as much as the first one (His Small Town Girl). Lacy writes Christian romance books with so much heart that you feel transported to the story itself.

This the story of Noah, the friend that went blind in the tragic accident following high school graduation. We learned about this accident in the first book, but we weren't introduced to Noah until this particular book. Noah lives such a lonely life - he has shut out everyone except for his mother, but she lives several hours away from him. For a blind man, he actually gets along remarkably well and lives by himself without incident.

The ranch a quarter mile away from him has been abandoned, but recently he heard that someone had moved in. He begins to realize it is someone with unruly kids because they "ding dong ditch" him several days in a row. This is troubling not only because he has to get up and answer the door (which no blind person really wants to do that without knowing who is at the door), but also because he works out of his home - he is a narrator for audible romance books. Each time his doorbell is rung, his entire section is ruined and he has to start over ensuring he keeps his pitch and tone consistent.

Imagine his surprise when he realizes his new next door neighbor is someone from his past friend group - Jilly. The three kids with her are foster kids that need help pretty badly. Slowly his walls start to crumble and he begins to have feelings not only for Jilly, but for the foster kids as well.

I was provided an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions above are mine without biases.

Cowgirl Next Door is the first book in the Sutter's Hollow Series by Lacy Williams that I have read. Yet it is the third book in the series. How did I miss this wonderful series is beyond me? While it is not necessary to have read the first two books in the series. Now that I have had a taste of Sutter’s Hollow, I want them all!

I loved Jilly in this story while my heart broke for Noah. I will So many issues were covered in this story with sensitivity and grace. A mother’s love being only one of them but an important one along with self-forgiveness and acceptance of love.

A clean, sweet romance with a woman who has so much love to give along with some children and a grumpy neighbor who are in desperate need of loving. The is a story that will touch your heart, reminding you of the power of love. Highly recommend.

The publisher through Net Galley provided a digital ARC. I have voluntarily decided to read and review, giving my personal opinions and thoughts.

Cowgirl Next Door (Sutter's Hollow Book 3) by Lacy Williams 4 stars

This is my first #lacywilliams book and probably not my last. I’ve been craving for a contemporary book after reading so many #historicalnovels lately. This book didn’t disappoint me. Noah’s character was unexpected and intriguing. The characters are flawed but they are aware of it and want to be better people. Jilly sounds nice. The kids are so adorable even with all their mischief. I’d love to have Aiden as my assistant too! He is so competent and cares for his employer.

It was an easy and fun read. It’s about acceptance, hope and the love of family and friends. I want to play in the snow with them. I'm glad Christmas time turned out fine. I enjoyed this book though there are more kissing scenes than other Christian romance books.

4.5 stars.
“Cowgirl Next Door”, by Lacy Williams, is a delightful read with a seriously grumpy wounded hero.
Noah is a fabulous hero, surly and vulnerable and very hot. I loved that his condition is properly addressed but doesn’t define him and that the heroine and their relatives/friends don’t fuss over him by making a drama about it.
Overall, the author does a great and thoughtful job writing from Noah’s point of view, displaying the world from a hearing perspective and stressing the importance of sound. It’s been 10 years since the accident and he has adapted well; and it’s quite refreshing to have this rarer story line where the disabled hero is well-adjusted, independent and capable.
Noah is scarred and broken, but also very strong and independent, and that mix of pain, vulnerability and strength is so alluring.
I loved how the author wrote the recluse hero in the beginning, so lonely and isolated and loving it. He seems more haunted and broken by his past than by his condition.
Jilly is a great heroine, too, having gone through so much. She’s wonderful with Noah, teasing him unmercifully, and breaking down the barriers around his heart. I felt her decision about the three children – such a huge responsibility – would benefit from being more developed.
There were some sad and funny moments with the children which added depth to the plot. I also liked the family/friends dynamics.

Jilly is a cancer survivor, trying to raise 3 foster children. She has moved in next door to Noah, who was blinded after a horrible car accident. The kids are the ones who get them together, and slowly they find their way. I enjoyed this one, and like how the kids interact with them to help balance it all out. Hard to put this one down, and highly recommend it. I've read others in this series, but could easily stand alone. Good book and author.

Jilly and Noah have crossed paths in the past and it didn't go well. It doesn't start out so well in the present either. Lacy Williams has crafted a journey from regrets and fear that leads to a destination of redemption and love. If you enjoy short, but deep stories that will warm your heart, then you will enjoy this!

I received a Netgalley ARC and freely chose to write my review.

I highly enjoyed this Christmas time romance, the themes were well done with a sweet ending. I don't particularly think that the name fits, but, that is besides the point.

There is a good bit of kissing and touching so if you do not enjoy romance with kisses I suggest you skip this one.

Cowgirl next door was for me a shortish but satisying read. The main characters all had challenges in their lives that they needed overcome in order to meet their optimal happy ending. It is part of a series but as this is the first one I have read in the series, I feel that it worked well as a standalone. I will go back to read books one and two.

I got this book in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed the story, read it one sitting and found myself reading it until I finished (So much for that early night!). It's worth a read if you want to escape for a couple of hours into a book!
