Emma returns to solve more mysteries, very well written as usual with good characters and I can thoroughly recommend this book.

Thank you to Netgalley and Harper Collins (OMC) for giving me the opportunity to read this book

Emma is back in solving another mystery. This time it's a cold case of a missing teenager fifteen years ago. Emma's character is so likable. She's humble yet relentless. Again this is a gripping story to follow, especially the ending. The author has a smooth style of writing in which just captivating you as if you were in the room as the finale is revealed. It can be read as stand-alone book; however, I urge those who have not read the first novel "Ransomed" to read that one first. It does explain in more detail ways of Emma's background and her internal struggle. It also explains why Emma choose to become an investigative journalist. I can't wait for the next novel and continue to join Emma on her journey.

Thank you to HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter and NetGalley for letting me read this wonderful ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A solid four star read. Good premise. Great characters. Enjoyed the style of writing. Plenty of mystery to keep me interested. I guessed the culprit hence the four star review. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it

I love a good read that keeps me page turning till early hours and Isolated did just that.

The second novel in the series sees a very welcome return of the strong, determined yet flawed Investigative journalist Emma Hunter who having written a best selling expose on a paedophile ring in a boys home is once again thrown into the thick of things when on a visit to her Literary Agent Maddie they both become witnesses to a suicide.

Recounted through narratives in a duel timeline, Then and Now, this tightly plotted mystery/ thriller, with plenty of twists in the storyline and very engaging and relatable characters, some we met in the first novel and some new ones, will keep you gripped from the very first page to an ending I certainly didn't see coming.

I've thoroughly enjoyed both my encounters with Emma , firstly in Ransomed and now in Isolated and can't wait to meet up with her again in the future. Definitely a highly recommended read and one I'm happy to give 5 stars to.

Many thanks to Netgalley and #omcreads for an ARC for my honest review.

This is the second book in The Missing Children Case Files and it’s an excellent follow up to the first “Ransomed” which I also thoroughly enjoyed. So we start with a suicide which investigative journalist Emma Hunter witnesses while in a meeting with her publisher and this then leads to Emma being drawn in to a cold case of a missing girl. What I really love about this book is the feeling of reality that come across so well and I put that down to the excellent writing of MA Hunter.
There is also an ongoing backstory that really adds to the compelling way this book is written and I really love the character of Emma but all the characters in both these books are well portrayed and we do get to catch up with some from the first book. Although this is the second book in the series it can be read as a stand-alone but really I would recommend to read the first it too good to miss in my opinion.
So we have Wicca, ancient rituals and an army camp that seems to have plenty of secrets to hide, my goodness what more do you want from a brilliant read !!
Well I loved the first book and I loved this just as much and I again can’t wait for the next instalment , many many thanks to MA Hunter for a fabulous read.
Mt thank also to NetGalley and Harper Collins UK, One More Chapter for giving me the chance to read the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
