SUPER CUTE YA!! This is one of those sweet stories you can 100% get lost in...I felt as though I was walking through the streets of Paris, dancing in sun-drenched studios overlooking charming shops and iconic monuments.

I felt Mia’s trepidation as she navigated a new city, wrestled with her head and her heart...and her determination to be her very best. I rooted for her in every adventure...I loved the dual storyline in that she was in Paris for dance but had a mystery to uncover about her family ancestry — a famous dancer no less!

I hope the author gives us more of her roots in Paris...this was a charming read, one I won’t soon forget!

Mia is overly focused on ballet. She wants to be a professional ballerina. She goes to a six week prestigious ballet program in Paris and is competing to get an audition with a ballet troupe. While in Paris, she meets Louis a handsome French boy and she is afraid of getting distracted, but she also wants to live life. Will she be able to do ballet and be with a boy? Also, she is trying to find an ancestor in a painting. Will she be able to do that?
This book was a fresh breath of air. It was just so good and cute and everything I wanted. I loved the ballet and how proactive Mia is. The romance was adorable. I loved them looking for the painting to see if she really did have an ancestor that did ballet in Paris. I loved the friendships that were made. I highly recommend this book.

I thought this book was SO cute! Kisses & Croissants is the perfect YA romance and will have you rooting for Mia until the very end.

Kisses & Croissants follows Mia, a young American ballet dancer. She aspires to be a professional dancer and ends up in Paris to attend a prestigious summer ballet program. There, she is cast in a lead role for the schools production of swan lake and inevitably, ends up meeting a swoon worthy French boy. Mia thinks that she can have it all as she works hard in her program and goes out with the boy she is quickly falling for. However, she quickly realizes that isn’t the case and has to make a decision about what she wants her future to look like.

Overall, if you’re looking for an adorable YA romance that will give you the best springtime vibes, I highly recommend Kisses & Croissants!

While this is a young adult book, I think fans of Vanessa Yu’s Magical Tea Shoppe and The Little Bookshop on the Seine would enjoy. This was such a fun read! I was swept off my feet by the beautifully described sights, the magic and mystery of Paris, and ooo those scrumptious croissants (that I’ve sadly never tried, lol)! I’ve always loved everything about ballet so this story was an absolute treat! I adored the MCs and the supporting characters were great too! This book is perfect for fans of To All the Boys I've Loved Before and American Royals, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cute romcom to read this summer!

I thought this was a nice, quick, easy read. Entertaining enough to read through it once but definitely meant for an audience on the younger end of the YA scale. Nothing too stand out about this novel as it is quite the cookie cutter YA romance type but it does what it intended.

Kisses and Croissants will absolutely make you want to visit or revisit Paris! The descriptions are dreamy and I craved macarons and croissants throughout the book. The romance was sweet, without being overly sappy. Mia’s story was touching and I loved her drive! You will be rooting for these characters! A light and happy YA romance was just what I needed. Merci!

I wanted so much to love this book! The cover and the premise are so enticing. Unfortunately, the execution was a disappointment. The plot kind of sweeps along without any real tension or conflict - obstacles arise, but then they're just dealt with easily, and things simply...work out for Mia? (I guess that's the privilege of an apparently limitless bank account?)

I also couldn't bring myself to care as much about Mia, or Louis for that matter, as I needed to; they seemed underdeveloped, and just never felt real to me. I enjoyed the setting and atmosphere, and an overall light-hearted, sweet vibe, but it turns out yummy food, ballet details, and romantic Parisianness isn't actually enough to save a relatively bland book.

I’ve been to Paris twice and thought I didn’t need to go back but this made me miss it a lot!

Mia goes to Paris for an elite ballet program that takes place over the summer for six weeks. She is very passionate over ballet and works super hard to become a professional ballet. In between exploring Paris and ballet, Mia meets Louis and a cute romance blooms between them. This book gives huge Love & Gelato vibes and it’s so fun. I do feel like our main character is a little immature and young which is kind of what stopped me from loving it. Also, Louis had about no personality in my opinion and Mia literally just likes him because he’s cute.

Aside from that, this book made me so nostalgic - Mia the main character explores the streets of Paris alone and makes friends with strangers which is exactly what I did on my own trip. I felt transported right back in Paris. There were so many similarities for me and the book and I really loved that personally. I look forward to more books from this author.

Coming off of a long Fantasy binge, this was definitely a change of pace back to YA.
I would classify this under pure fluff in my library as it was fairly two-dimensional. If you want a fun, quick summer read however, I recommend!

This charming novel swept me off my feet and immersed me in the sights, sounds, and delights of Paris. I just loved the setting! We follow seventeen-year-old Mia as she makes her way through a six week-long, elite ballet program to achieve one of her biggest dreams: to land an audition with one of the world's best ballet companies. Along the way, she meets Louis, an insightful and empathetic young Frenchman who leads her on adventures and helps unearth her destiny. I really enjoyed the development of the characters and watching various relationships ebb, flow, and flourish throughout the story. If you're looking for a light and sweet read to devour this summer, I highly recommend "Kisses and Croissants."

DNF at 30%. I guess I’m getting too old for these types of books. I wanted to keep reading just for the French dialogue and Parisian atmosphere. But it was all too predictable, everything coming up roses for our main character. Definitely lower YA/middle grade.

This is a cute romance for all teens. Mia is a talented ballerina that feels that she doesn’t measure up. All she wants is to get into the American Ballet Company. To get a chance to apply, she makes it to a summer program though the Paris Ballet Company. Mis doesn’t have time to be distracted by cute Prince Charming, Louis. And there’s a family legacy that she needs to figure out. Was her great great great grandmother one of the ballerinas in Degas’s famous painting. And then, how does she get her mom’s lack of support our if her head. She has got to focus on ballet instead of kisses and croissants. Very cute read! Great for MS and HS.

This was a genuinely sweet YA read. We meet Mia, who is in Paris for six weeks as part of an intense ballet program. Ballet is her entire life, and this program, if she is able to perform well, will allow her a chance to audition for some of the top ballet programs in the world. While there, she meets Louis, a charming young French boy. She has to make a choice—can she afford to fall in love and lose some focus on ballet?

It took me a while to get into this book, to be honest. It was a slow start, but picked up about a third of the way through. I also was not expecting it to end the way that it did. I do think that part of the reason I'm giving it four stars is because, as a former dancer, I love books that involve dance in any way. I also fondly recalled my memories of Paris while reading the book. So if you love YA romance, dance, and / or Paris, this is the book for you.

O segredo que ele guarda me deixou um pouco chateada, mas a trajetória do personagem acabou me surpreendendo. O mistério da antepassada de Mia é resolvido, mas além dele podemos ver que nem sempre a história da família carrega nossos sonhos e que nem por isso temos que desistir. É uma leitura de aquecer o coração e um romance muito fofo.

I loved this book. I was a little disappointed that the director chose to do Swan Lake, as it seems everyone always chooses this ballet. However, I understand the technicality of the dance is what the author wanted to shine.

Unfortunately, this one didn't work for me since I'm not much of a YA reader. Giving it three stars because I have to include a rating, but I didn't finish this one. I did feature it on my Bookstagram and included the link below.

Summer in Paris, ballet, and a cute boy, what more could you want. Personally, I don't dance, but I loved reading about the characters time in a prestigious ballet summer type "camp" to improve her dancing and enjoy what she loves the most. Now I wanna go to Paris! Totally recommend to those who love the idea of a summer love and dancing.

This story was so sweet and felt like a hug in a book! I loved Mia as a character. Her passion for ballet and excitement about being in Paris really came through while reading. I really loved the sweet chemistry between Mia and Louis. Those two together were some of my favorite parts! The ballet summer program set in Paris felt reminiscent of 'Center Stage', one of my favorite romcoms dance movies, while the bits of travel and family mystery felt like 'Love and Gelato'. This story really felt like a mix of the two. The parts with glimpses of sight seeing in Paris with food, museums, and art made me want to travel again. The bit of mystery surrounding the myth about Mia's family member was a nice side story and adventure. Overall, I absolutely loved this sweet YA romance full of ballet, food and romance. I can easily see reading this one again and can't wait to read more from this author.

When Mia gets accepted into a prestigious ballet program in Paris, she jumps at the chance to pursue her dreams and also solve an ancient family mystery. She's in for an adventurous summer — Mia is rooming with her arch-nemesis Audrey and has to quickly adjust to the rigor of the program. On top of that, she (literally) stumbles into the charming, handsome son of her ballet instructor.

I really enjoyed Kisses and Croissants! I loved how well-thought out the characters were, as well as their relationships with one another — especially Mia and her nemesis-turned-friend, Audrey. The plot was well-paced, and weaved together Mia's time at the academy as well as her quest to find out if she's related to an ancient ballerina. This book is perfect for when you want something light and fluffy to read, or if you want to be transported to the city of Paris!
