I know for certain this is a book my 9 year old would devour!!! Its so funny & the fact that its in comic form is even better!! The illustrations are funny & the characters will make you laugh without a doubt. A great book for elementary age kiddos (especially if they love pizza and tacos!)

Thanks to NetGalley and Random House for the chance to read this ARC! "Pizza and Taco" are quite the enchanting and silly duo. Plenty of fast-paced early-reader dialogue with loads of fun for kids of all ages. My sons (ages 8 and 4) could both appreciate and enjoy this story!

Kids are sure to be thrilled with best buddies, Pizza & Taco. Any child who is a fan of the zanier side of comics will find a lot to love with this one. Personally, I am a huge fan of that adorable rain cloud. I would certainly pair this with a light lesson on the behavior (some of these food items have quite the attitude, but I think that would be a great lead in to proper party behavior).

For libraries: A great addition to an early graphics collection.

This was super cute with a good message of how things don't always work out the way you want them to, but the unexpected can still be fun. I loved the artwork.

Cute and fun, kids will love this book. The Illustrations are fun and I'm sure will draw kids in. Hopefully this will become a series because I think it will be popular with the ages 7-10 set.

PIzza and Taco is a fun graphic novel series for young readers. This second entry to the series see Pizza and Taco facing extreme boredom. They then decide the way to remedy that is to have a party. In doing so, they learn how NOT to have a party. I'm not sure Pizza and Taco are the greatest role models, but they do seem to learn from at least some of their mistakes. They're also ridiculous in the way that kids love and for that reason, I suggest this series.

I really enjoyed this little graphic novel. The illustrations are wonderfully vibrant and who can go wrong with pizza and tacos?

This book has a lot going for it: straight forward plot and humor, goofy characters, and a relatable problem. Unfortunately, I do not know if it appropriately addresses the actual issues in the book (how to treat one's friends, for example) to a degree that I, as an educator, am comfortable with. In this regard, it just fell flat. I plan on to pass on purchasing this one.

Goofy graphic for the younger set, appropriately funny, with simple illustrations and sparse text. It can serve as a drawing exercise for kids to show how to express emotion with just the eyes and mouth.

I received an electronic ARC from Random House Children's Publisher through NetGalley.
Shaskan shares further adventures of best friends Taco and Pizza. In book two, they decide to throw a party and invite all of their friends. As expected, things go wrong and Taco and Pizza are a bit clueless. Elementary level readers will love the humor in this series. The characters each have their own personality bring their food to life.
Looking forward to book three.

Another graphic novel starring another silly/ridiculous duo? You bet! Pizza and Taco decide to throw THE BEST PARTY EVER! But will an unexpected obstacle foil all their plans? This was a silly, short, simple graphic novel with fun illustrations. My younger students (1st-3rd grade) will eat it right up!

Pizza and Taco have nothing to do so they decide to throw a party. It starts out with great intentions but then things fall apart: the water party is closed, a misspelling on the banner, and someone has an allergic reaction to the punch.

The drawings are simple, and easy to see character emotions. I like detail of having enlarged photos as the background for the food (Pizza is just an up-close picture of pizza cheese) and the bubbles are easy to read. I like that the characters make a list at the end of everything they learn about what not to do when they throw a party. The scene where Taco and Pizza are panicking and then pizza screams EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OKAY!! felt very relatable.

I think kids who are beginning to read comics will like this but this comic is not for me. Taco's repeat use of YAAAS as a catch phrase just fell flat and Taco and Pizza just seem a bit oblivious to their friends. I would still read the first and next in the series.
