I found this book to be a letdown for me. The author is well spoken and he makes some good points, but he really misses the mark on certain issues as well. The book could have used more editing to make his points more direct with less flowery language, but as it was, some of his points were weak. I anticipated it to be a book on spirituality, but he is constantly talking about politics. While he does bring up some Biblical stories, he mainly relies on other quotes, especially Thomas Aquinas, which while many are nice, the book would have benefited from more Biblical context. I trudged through it, but his often passive aggressive tone was grating.

Honestly, I did not love it. The book started out well enough with some good insight on topics such as disproportionate anxiety, but the author was so one sidedly liberal that it was hard to take at times. I am not entirely conservative but I still was put off by his lack of balance.
