Suspenseful and fast read. Kept me engaged throughout the book. Plenty of twists and turns. Thanks to publisher and NetGalley for the arc.

This is a Psychological Thriller/Mystery. I have to say after reading the mixed reviews of this book I did not know if I wanted to read the book anymore, so I put off reading this book for awhile. I can see why their is mixed reviews. The twists and turns where really crazy, and I did not know what to think about them. I did not love or connect to any of the characters in this book. I did not love this book, but I did not hate this book. This book was just ok to me, but I have to say you do not want a thriller to just be ok. I think there was to much drama in this book, and the thriller parts was just ok. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Harper 360) or author (H.C. Warner) via NetGalley, so I can give honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

Ben broken hearted and hurting stumbles into a bar looking for a distraction. That’s when he sees her, Bella. Love at first sight or a beautiful nightmare dressed as a day dream. A rollercoaster of a relationship that leaves you hanging onto every twist and every turn.

This is a psychological/domestic thriller with plenty of twists and turns. It was a really fun and quick read. Some moments seemed a little too exaggerated and unrealistic, but overall fun thriller! Thank you, Netgalley.

Ben meets Bella after work, they spend the night together, and she essentially moves in with him. He can't believe his luck - she's the most gorgeous woman he's ever laid eyes on. But Bella's beauty is hiding a dark and mercurial nature. Why did she pick Ben, and who is she really?

This book had all the makings of a great domestic thriller - an unlikeable woman with secrets, a man blinded by his love for her, and friends/family eager to discover the truth. Parts 1 and 2 are told in alternate voices, giving the events of the story from Ben and Bella's perspectives.

Although it was great to get inside Bella's head, the section was a bit repetitive, rehashing pretty much everything from Part 1 rather than selecting the most important events. Bella was also almost comically "bad", and a little more nuance for her character would have been appreciated. With a bit of tightening and editing, this could have been a great thriller, but I still enjoyed it and had a few "omg wtf" moments while reading it. 3.5 stars.

Thank you to Harper360/HQ for providing a copy of this book on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley and to the publisher for the ARC, which I received in exchange for my honest review. She is a taunt psychological thriller told from multiple points of view. Fresh off a breakup Ben spies beautiful Bella across a room and sparks fly. It's love at first sight, well at least for one of them it is. In a clever role reversal, the author has chosen to make Bella the diabolical monster who plots out her seduction of Ben.

What follows is a roller coaster ride told from both Ben and Bella's perspectives that will leave readers aghast at the lengths people are willing to go to in order to get what they want.

If you are looking for a well written thriller with a strong cast of characters look no further than She.

The world being turned upside down due to the end of a relationship is something that everyone can relate to. The range of emotions felt through the characters was very real. A good crime-thriller genre pick

This book was interesting from the first page, the characters are well developed and you find yourself loving all of them. At one point a character died and I found myself literally crying because they were so lovable and you felt everyone’s pain when it played out. I enjoyed the different points of views the story switched between in the beginning however I found it a little annoying in part 2 when they switched to Bella’s version of the story. It was interesting to see her side of it but too much of it was the same story given from the other characters POV in part 1, verbatim. Overall, it was an enjoyable read with a suspenseful plot that kept me hooked until the end!

I haven’t read a wickedly evil book like this in a long time and I enjoyed every sick and twisted minute of it! A very fast and addictive read. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Thank you to NetGalley and HC Warner for an advanced copy in return for my honest review. SHE is available to read on January 23, 2021!

After being dumped by his longtime girlfriend, Ben is feeling low. One night, when out for drinks with a friend, Ben meets Bella and feels an instant connection. After only a few weeks together, Bella announces that she’s pregnant. Though Ben’s family and friends are shocked by the news, they are happy for him – until Bella starts acting different. She starts being overbearing and controlling, barely letting Ben make any decisions for himself. Bella also has a huge secret that she can’t risk getting out or she’ll lose everything. Will Ben find out Bella’s secret or will he succumb to a life of misery?

First, trigger warning as there is some domestic violence spread throughout this book. Second, Bella is the absolute worst. I spent the entire book hoping someone would call her out on her secret and give her what she deserves. She is the most vile, selfish, heartless character I’ve ever experienced (great job on the author’s part). Poor, sweet, complacent Ben- my heart went out for him throughout the entire story. I did enjoy this book, but I felt like it was a little big dragged out – I’m not sure if that’s just because I was so annoyed by Bella and I wanted her to get what was coming. I would definitely recommend picking this one up!

Imagine being very close to your family and friends and often have your bonding moments when suddenly you met someone whom you thought is your soulmate. It was fun and passionate at the beginning till she decided that there’s no one allowed inside your bubble other than each other and gives you no reason for it. Yea, I had to absorb that and couldn't believe it.

I haven't finished a book in one day in a long while, but this book I couldn't put down literally; I even purchased the audiobook, so I can do my chores and not miss anything. Yes, I was that intrigue and desperate to know what is going on. Anyway, Ben was hanging out with his best friend, Matt; he saw Bella and decided to introduce himself; he was mesmerized by her beauty and charm that the same night they become a couple. Little does he know, Bella has a secret and a horrible temper that will keep him away from his family and friends.

I seriously find Ben stupid for putting up everything like, come on, dude, man up! Bella is one of those characters that will make you want to be in the book to give her a solid punch on the face. There are so many deceptions, betrayal, heartbreaking, and even shocking moments in this book. The characters are relatable, especially Matt and Freya, who are just the most amazing friends ever. The epilogue is a bit of a shocker. Whoa! If you’re into domestic thrillers, give this book a try! I love it
4.5/5 ⭐️

I was given the opportunity to read this book and write a review once I was done. I have to say that i had so many mixed feelings reading about reading this book. Part one was great, there is a lot of characters POV's and that wasn't an issue. It was getting to part two, the beginning of part two was very intriguing and interesting as well because you learn so much, but it is also a repetition of the entire store and that was such a buzzkill in many ways even if it was told on Bella's POV. I just cannot believe the ending.... it was a slap in the face i can't think of why two parents would do that to their son, and then think they were trying to help him... I almost gave it four stars but the ending really killed the entire book for me.

Two things initially drew me to this book. First, the cover of Louboutin five-inch heels mesmerized me. I have had a love affair with heels my whole life. The second was a female psychopath as a main character since female psychopaths happen to be my favorite so there were definitely high hopes for this book.

“She”, by HC Warner is broken up into four parts. We meet Bella in the first one. A beautiful, charming loving woman who stops traffic when she walks. Ben meets Bella. Ben leaves the bar with Bella and the story begins. Part one of this book set up the story with good pacing, which kept the reader invested in finishing it. The reader really gets a feel for both Bella and Ben.

I started to struggle with the story by the second part. This portion of the book was a retelling of the first part but in Bella’s POV. Although new with crucial details being introduced to the reader, this part of the book did not have enough, which made it highly repetitive. I felt like I was reading the first part all over again but with a few new nuances.

Part three, which occurred one year late, and part four, the wrap up, continued the story, but it was not enough to keep me invested in the story.

The book, did however, have really good character development. The reader was able to really get a feel for Bella and Ben. With that being said, I strongly disliked both characters. Ben was cowardly and Bella was anything but likable. Due to spoilers, I am not going to go into details in regards to her.

Overall, the characters and story were very superficial for me.

It was the perfect mix of romance and thriller which I absolutely loved! I did find it to be a tad repetitive during some chapters (more Bella than anything) but was able to skim over that and it didn't ruin the story for me. I found it to be a quick read that sucked me in immediately, which is the only way I will continue to read a book. would definitely recommend!

It's all a matter of perspective......
As Ben realizes that his love life is really not what he had planned, in walks Bella to save him from a life of loneliness and despair. Or so he thinks. SHE is the story of how a man can be so blinded by love and fear that he cannot see how his new love has manipulated their time together to cut off everyone who cares about him. She controls everything he does and everyone he speaks with. Sounds like the story line of many books where the woman is typically the one being manipulated.
The first sections of the book are written in the voices of Ben and then Bella, his new love and eventually wife. They tell the story of their meeting and eventual lives together, first from Ben's POV, then Bella's. It is sometimes amazing how two people can see things so differently. The story then skips to one year later, where we see how their lives have changed....not for the better.
This book is definitely different than most written about love, obsession and abuse. While it may not be the best book I have ever read, it was definitely worth my precious reading time.

Boy has a bad breakup. Boy hooks up with a new girl that is to good to be true. Next thing you know she is pregnant, they are married and everything changes. Why?? The boy is Ben and the new girl is Bella. Ben and Charlotte just broke up after years of being together. Ben cannot believe he could get over Charlie but he did and her name is Bella. Why is Bella turning Ben away from his friends and family? Why does her rage come out every time Ben is near his parents, especially when he's with his dad Peter? If you read this book all these questions would be answered. The author writes a story or revenge and evil. How one women could turn the life of a young man into a life of living hell. The author shows you the pure evil of Bella and the havoc she reeks on everyone. There is a life altering event that really sends Ben and his family into a tailspin that only makes Bella one happy girl. Until all her lying and cheating catches up to her and brings Charlotte Ben's ex to come in and save Ben from this living hell. So is Bella really the girl of Ben's dreams? Or is she the psychopath that everyone thinks she is. Plus is Jo Ben's mom really the quiet loving wife, or does she have some secrets. Read this book to find out the answers. Some might find this book a little predictable, but I enjoyed it for the suspense. The author keeps you at the edge of your seat at times. A little suspense and craziness might be what you are looking for..

3.5 Can Perfection Be Real Stars
* * * 1/2 Spoiler Free-A Quick Review
We live our experiences and it is the way we receive them matters. We can be confident, we can be vulnerable or self-doubting, or we can be any other group of emotions. How we process and grow impacts everything. This may sound like double speak or mysterious but in a moment you will understand.

In She by H.C. Warner, all of our characters go through"Things" that will impact them to the point, that their actions will reflect it.

A man who was told his love for many years, needed space to understand herself...leaving him doubting who he was.

A woman who felt serious feelings, too numerous to classify, causing her to take advantage of an opportunity...

A story that examines the idea of "What They Don't Know, Won't Hurt Them", to the extreme.
This is a look at many things, a taste of Alice Through The Looking Glass in how relationships, power, control, manipulation, and deception come into play. Do not expect the usual.

Sometimes Perfect isn't so Perfect.

This is an EXTREMELY repetitive book i skipped several pages due to being incredibly repetitive and not really providing any extra information in the points of view.

After an unexpected breakup Ben meets Bella in a bar. Shes gorgeous and ends up coming back to his apartment the first night and really never leaves. Bella seems to be everything Ben wanted and seems to be in love until Bella starts to alienate Ben from his family and friends.

I really wanted to love this book as female psychopaths are an interest of mine but due to the repetitive nature, the unnecessarily long descriptions and sheer boredom i just didnt fall in love with this one.

I love the mix of romance and thriller intertwined in this book. I love how the characters navigated the obsession and toxicity elements while still moving forward with the plot. A few unexpected twists which I loved! Great read.
