Loved this book. It was a super quick read and immediately drew me in. Told from multiple perspectives, I loved seeing the same events from the eyes of each character. Quite the page turner!

I read this book as a NetGalley ARC in exchange for an honest review.

You know what they say about thrillers--I just couldn't put it down? I had no trouble. I did quick-skim finish it, but if it hadn't been an ARC, I wouldn't have.

I love a good female anti-hero, a good catfight, a good unreliable narrator. This book had a female anti-hero, plenty of catfighting, and several unreliable narrators and characters. None of them were especially good. I did like Freya and Matt, Ben's friends who tried to help, and Leo, Bella's twisted lover (he was different from other characters).

I had lots of questions when I finished--why did everyone think Peter was a good guy? What happened to Bella's father? Why did Ben fall so far so fast? Why did characters forget key events, and then recall them after some deception had been revealed? But ultimately, I didn't care about the answers.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper360 for letting me read this book. I enjoyed it. It’s always interesting how sometimes we can’t see what is right in front of us for whatever reason. I would read another book by this author.

SPOILERS AHEAD

I received this book complimentary from NetGalley but all opinions are my own.
Ooh. This was a page turner. It was good but took a very long time to get through. I get that the author wanted build up to a climax of finding out that Peter is the father of Bella but I would have liked the drama of Ben never knowing but Jo knowing better. I’m not a writer but a reader and reading that would have made a more interesting book. Especially considering the Bella POV was a repeat of Ben’s perspective after a beat. The writing was excellent and I enjoyed every second of this but for the repetition of Bella perspective. Even that yielded some small moments that were worth it though.
I always like the settings of books as long as they aren’t where I am pretty much. The characters were well-written. I think Bella could have used a little bit more history so you would feel a little sympathy for her which you don’t as it stands. She is all evil in this writing but humans aren’t all evil (except maybe Mitch McConnell) so have the nuance of hearing her background and it being awful would have added a level. But it was well-written and interesting.
Overall, I will be on the lookout for more by this author.

She was a fun ride. For readers that love to hate the main character, HC Warner's She is just for you. Bella is utterly horrible and while the novel attempts to make the reader somewhat sympathetic to her back story, it is clear that she had zero redeeming qualities. This novel also delves into the subject matter of intimate partner abuse in a heterosexual relationship where the man is the victim and the woman is the victimizer. I really appreciate where the author was going with shining light on how men can also be abused, but think more development on his internalized struggle could have made this issue gain the attention that it deserves. Overall, a solid read for those that enjoy psychological suspense.

This story was based on something the definitely needs more discussion but there was no way I could finish this book. The author didn't do a great job at writing this book.

Thank you NetGalley and author for giving me a chance to read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

A good read overall. Nothing much was happening in the beginning but it was still good read. A little much leading up to the end and then it was a little rushed. But I liked the read. It was easy and fast and kept ,e reading for sure.
I will definitely still recommend to friends and family and give my full review on instagram and goodreads. 3.5-4 overall stars. Thanks for this read.

Ben is reeling from an unexpected breakup when he meets beautiful and charming Bella. As he gets more involved with her, she begins to show a different side to her.

This was a hard book to read because you hate Bella and feel so much to Ben throughout the story. It was also difficult to put down and I sped through it! It’s rare that we read about completely manipulative and abusive women, but this one takes the cake. I really liked the different perspectives. At times we were reading from Ben’s point of view, sometimes Bella, and even other characters at times. We could read the same situation twice, but from different perspectives. As Bella gets more volatile, we are sucked more into the story, until it ends with a bang.

She comes out 3/23.

Ben can hardly believe his luck when the meets the beautiful Bella . But is she his dream girl or just a nightmare?
She is a good story with great twist. However, I really didn’t like the characters that much. I found the to unbelievable and unrelatable.

Thank you Netgalley and HarperCollins for the ARC for an honest review. #Netgalley #She

Very intense read. I found myself holding my breath at times it was such an intense ride. That being said all the sexual situations and banter go well in hand for lovers of this genre

Thanks to NetGalley and Harper360 for the ARC of “She” by HC Warner in exchange for my honest review.
She seems like the perfect girl. Bella is beautiful and smart and fun. Until she isn’t. Ben, newly single, walks into a bar and meets Bella, setting his future in motion. The beautiful girl begins to isolate him from his friends and his family, creating a small world where she has all the control. Then the death of a family member triggers an explosion of lies, vengeance, and ultimately the truth revealed. Who is this girl and why did she pick Ben?
This book. This book was wild. Bella’s character is a force of nature. She uses gaslighting, isolation, and violence to get exactly what she wants. Bella’s past is riddled with controlling behaviors. Mix that with a pretty face and she seems to be almost invincible. The contrast between Bella and Ben is so extreme that you can’t look away.
This book definitely had a quick pace. With Bella’s past spilled a little here and there readers will be racing to see why Bella is treating Ben the way she is and what secrets are held in her hands. Ben’s family also becomes curious, is the picture perfect family not so perfect after all?
Warner gives us a lot to think about and process. Sometimes it was almost too much stimulation. Books like this can be a lot emotionally to take on. While the writing was good, there was something about this book that kept me on edge. Good for reading, not always so great mentally.
Overall, I gave this book 4 stars. If you love psychological thrillers, this book is definitely for you.

Wow wow wow! What a great book! Ben meets Bella a few months after his girlfriend breaks up with him. It was love at first sight, or so it seems. Told from Ben’s view, than Bella’s then Jo, Ben’s mother’s point of view the hits just keep on coming. This is a masterful tale of love, betrayal, redemption, and how far one goes to make right wrong decisions. This is my first book by Warner and will not be my last!

This was a fantastic read, fast-paced with twists and turns. It's a pretty common premise, where boy meets girl and thinks she is really great, boy's friends don't see the allure, and said girl keeps him away from them as much as possible. However, if you think you've seen it before, you owe it to yourself to read this book, which takes that premise and builds in so much more deceit and complexity.

The way the book was set up was interesting- the first part is from Ben's point of view, and the 2nd part is those same series of events from Bella's point of view. I normally don't like the rehashing of the same things through 2 different lenses, but it was really well done in this case. I was shocked when Bella's first secret was revealed- I didn't see that coming at all! I did want to strangle Ben a couple times for being so gullible, though- even though I was surprised at some of the stuff that happened, he shouldn't have been!

My only small complaint is that the ending was rather abrupt- there was all of this great build-up and it felt a little rushed at the ultimate culmination. That being said, once that happened, the author tied everything up in a neat little bow, which may not be super realistic but is something I always enjoy.

Overall, this book is a wild ride worth reading, even if you think you've seen the storyline before. I will definitely be picking up the next book by this author. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

She sounded interesting. A gender reversal from the typical male stalker. These cases of controlling and abusive women don’t get talked about as much as they should, so to see this book highlight it was refreshing.

Unfortunately, She didn’t live up to my expectations. It was a little boring and honestly it read like a bad Lifetime movie, and not the kind of bad that you still secretly enjoy. Bella was a terrible character. Her entire personality was like a badly written manipulative femme fatale. And Ben was this oblivious and easily brow beaten man. I don’t want to victim shame but it felt as if his character was begging to be abused.

The secret plot line was not that interesting and I just got bored. I quit at about 45%. Definitely didn’t “thrill” me.

Thank you to #NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this novel. The book drew me in at the beginning, then started to lose me. The writing was simplistic and I felt that I knew where the story was going. I pushed through and am glad I did. While I felt that Part 2 was an attempt at the style of "Gone Girl", once Part 3 came about, I was definitely into the book until the end, wanting to know the outcome. While I was able to figure out the 'twists' easily, the Epilogue I didn't see coming. Overall, I enjoyed this novel. However, I feel that character development could have been improved had we learned more about Bella's family. #NetGalley#She#HCWarner

WOW did I love this book! It’s dark, edgy, and full of twists and turns that kept me reading late into the night. The writing is fantastic, and the plot is fast-paced and brilliantly suspenseful. I will absolutely be looking to read more from this author!

Totally gripping book that I read in a day. Can't wait to read the author's next book.
Ben is thrilled to meet the very beautiful Bella and is soon swept up in a relationship with her. But Bella is not all she seems and before too long he finds himself living a nightmare and his family is destroyed
Great characters, mostly likeable, except for the chillingly awful Bella

This book should have a content warning because I definitely need some trauma counseling. It was chilling to see how quickly and completely Bella took over Ben's entire world. Seeing how tightly she controlled him was claustrophobic; even more so because for too many people this is their reality. This was such a good book but it was absolutely devastating.

Ben's girlfriend of ten years has broken up with him. He is devastated. Later he meets and falls I. Love with Bella. Beautiful, smart, Bella. One month later they learn they are pregnant. Now they are married and everything seems wonderful. Except Bella doesn't like his mom, dad, sister or friends. Bit by bit Ben Is isolated from family and friends.
Then, Bella has him quit his job so she can work on her career. Ben stays home. He takes care of the house, cooking and the baby. Bella is still not happy. When Bella isn't happy nobody's happy.

Fantastic - couldn’t put the book down! I read a lot of thrillers, and the surprises in this one were really good - the first was a shock, and then from there - seeing all of the events from the beginning from a different viewpoint - really well done!
