There are so many dogs in Sweetwater Springs, So many. It’s about time the veterinarian got the spotlight!! He deserves all the tail wags! Chase was such a wonderful veterinarian and human. His relationship with Petey and trying to navigate that aspect of his life was so kind and caring.

I am such a sucker for second chances romance. I love it because the connection is already there from the past, so a relationship is already established. I loved Sophie and Chase. They were absolutely the warmest of loves and truly gave me swoon vibes. Watching them reconnect and rediscover each other as a person was such wonderful writing.

I do appreciate Annie Rains giving Sophie a pretty tough tragedy. She was tough on the inside and outside and really got to know herself. I understand why she broke up in the first place. She was definitely one of my favorite characters from Sweetwater Springs because her resilience was unique for a romance novel.

Overall, I am so sad to end my time at Sweetwater Springs. However, if you’re going to end a series, this is how you do it. I think the reason I love Annie Rains is that her characters are not cookie cutter. They have real flaws and realistic issues that are resolved in time. It’s so easy to connect with characters that are not perfect.

Thank you forever and NetGalley for the copy. This is out 01/26/2021.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Reunited on Dragonfly Lane was another book I picked up almost solely because of the cute dog on the cover. And the pun in the blurb (“paws-ible?) warmed my heart and made me chuckle.

And given my past experiences with small-town romance, I felt like I enjoyed it well enough in comparison. It’s a fun, cozy story set in a picturesque small town, and in that aspect, it works. There’s a real element of community, and even jumping in with book 7, I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything in terms of that dynamic that may have been established prior.

I did find the romance itself a bit lackluster. On the surface it’s got a lot of potential, and a lot of that is due to them bonding over Comet, a dog with an injured leg. But in spite of them having a past romance together, I just never felt like there was anything substantial between them. They do have some qualities that made me at least like them somewhat and feel they had potential on their own, especially Chase, with his familial problems as he finds himself taking care of his nephew with his brother in jail. But I never got the impression that these two together made sense.

I understand Annie Rains is well loved in the small town romance genre, especially given her books are on the sweet side with no sex. However, despite some of those elements often working for me, they just didn’t this time. I do feel a more experienced reader of her work will enjoy this, given the largely favorable early reviews from people who are presumably part of her established audience.

I have to start off by saying that I hate when a series ends. It's like saying goodbye to old friends. Here's my dilemma, I also love starting new series by my favorite authors. I guess we'll have to go on the ride for this new series and I'm pretty sure we'll love it just as my as we did Sweetwater Springs.

This review isn't as easy to write as most of my others. I was very conflicted with this story. I both loved it with moments of "really", and can we move on, please. I hate when that happens with an author that I really love reading. Now that doesn't mean I didn't' enjoy the story because I did. It just means at times I wasn't always happy with it.

Confusing aren't I? I'll try to explain. Let me start off with that I loved Chase and think he's a really great guy who at times is too good for Sophie. His only crime in this whole book is being young when it all started. I know, I'm not really explaining it but I want you to read it for yourself and judge how you feel about it all.

Now, I think you're getting what I'm putting down that Sophie isn't my favorite heroine. What can I say it happens sometimes. I didn't dislike her but I did feel like all her issues were of her own making. She caused it and took it out on others and still does in a passive-aggressive way. She did something stupid, which we all do but she blames poor Chase who had nothing to do with her poor judgment. I might have gotten over her attitude but throughout the whole story it brought up over and over again.

When we aren't dwelling on their past I really enjoyed the story. I liked how Chase was dealing with what his brother has done and how he stood up to help out his brother's family. I also enjoyed the interactions between Chase and his friends.

One of the things I enjoyed about Sophie is the way she stood up and took care of Comet when he is hurt. She's not really an animal person but still took him in. I also loved what she did in the backroom of her boutique and wish there was more about that than what happened in her past. What she did for those ladies in need is a wonderful thing.

I also liked how the author is going to tie the new series in with this one. A great way of moving us over. It's a little sad, but I'm excited to see what happens. Not my favorite of the authors but still a very good read.

Reunited on Dragonfly Lane by Annie Rains is a terrific story that I highly recommend. This author has a writing style that never disappoints her reader. This story takes place in Sweetwater Springs and is well developed and well written. The secondary characters add so much to the story as well as the sweet puppy. This is Sophie and Chase’s story, about second chance or is it third chance love. These two have a past together then a serious climbing accident breaks them apart. Years later they are back in the same town and both still have a strong chemistry for each other. This story flowed at a great pace and with ease that it was very hard to put down. I loved it and recommend it!

Every book Annie Rains writes is a work of art, and if you haven't picked up a book in the series yet, this might be a great place to start! A tale of second chance romance is exactly what this world needs right now, when we may feel all is lost and there's no going back to getting what we had before. I'm not always a fan of these due to the general angst involved, but Annie Rains did an amazing job telling the story with believable characters and a compelling backstory to make us all end up in tears at the end of the book. If you're on the fence about love when you start the book, you'll believe in love again by the end.

Sophie Daniels is in a rush to get to a friend's wedding when a dog runs into the road right in front of her car. Not knowing how badly he is injured, Sophie can only think of one person to take him to and it's the one person she least wants to see - Chase Lewis. Chase used to be her boyfriend, before a bad fall while climbing resulted in her leg being crushed and her plans for college being put on the backburner. In an effort to protect him from dealing with her suddenly stilted future, she pushed him away, and now that he's returned, it's painful to see him at all. Chase never forgot about Sophie, and when she asks him to care for the dog, he immediately wants to help. As the dog is healing and they spend more time together, they realize their feelings for each other never truly went away. But their past is full of pain and hurt feelings, and even love may not be enough to mend the wounds.

It was so easy to fall in love with this couple! From the first time the reader meets each of them, they immediately feel relatable and warm. Sophie was a sweetheart, with a kind soul but wounded spirit, and as soon as I realized she had lost her true love long ago, I immediately wanted her to get it back. Chase was an easy guy to like, with his veterinary practice and obvious care for animals, as well as his genuine affection for Sophie, in spite of all that happened between them. He had his own problems on the side, with a brother in jail and a nephew looking to him as a role model, and I could feel the pressure that was put on him. He needed Sophie, and Sophie needed him, they just both weren't sure of that right away. It was a slow burn romance at first, as they were hesitant to start anything, but it became clear quickly that one kiss would not be enough. I was rooting for them the whole way, and the book ended perfectly, exactly how I would have liked it to end. There were some bumps in the road getting there, but that was necessary for them both to heal enough to see their love for each other.

As always, brava to Annie Rains! Another enjoyable read and one to share with family and friends whenever they come asking for a recommendation.

Thank you NetGalley, Annie Rains and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the ARC of
Reunited on Dragonfly Lane. This is my personal review.

Chase and Sophie have a past, and they know they have a future but getting there is going to take time.
Sweetwater Springs and everyone there know these two are meant to be together. They have so many obstacles to overcome and as I I was reading the chemistry jumped off the pages. I could feel the emotions and it gave me so much to cheer for, hold my breath, and hope they could see the future they have and deserve.
I read this book which is the 7th in the Sweetwater Springs series, and I will be going back to read the first book in the series. I am excited to get to know more about this wonderful town and everyone who lives there.

As always author Annie Rains tells a beautiful, heartfelt story. This one is no different but I felt a lot more in this one. The young love pushed to the limits by tragedy being recaptured by two people who definitely belong together was beautiful & heartbreaking. The tragedy of Sophie’s climbing accident caused years of pain for both she & Chase, physically & emotionally as she pushed him away & blamed him. As we learn through growth not everything is as it seemed & now that Chase has moved home things are about to change. Chase had is own heartbreak to deal with as well as he tried to help his ex sister-in-law & nephew after his brother went to prison. I loved how a young puppy was the catalyst that brought them together & how Chase’s courage & love for Sophie kept him coming back. This story had so many feelings in it & the antics of Comet brought in a wonderful amount of humour as well. Definitely recommend to read. Thank you to Forever publishing & Net Galley for letting me read this book for an honest review.

Loved, loved, loved this story. A climbing accident had made Sophie push Chase away for a long time, but maybe the time was coming back around for them. When Sophie hits a young dog with her car, she fosters him and in doing so has to be in Chase's company more (as she knows nothing about taking care of dogs). There was romance, misunderstandings, a cute nephew, many friends and love. A very good romantic story

Liked Chase and Sophies book. Comet was a fun secondary character. Second chances do work for the better. Annie Rains always writes a good story

Sophie Daniels and Chase Lewis were once a couple, inseparable and interconnected. Until Sophie had a disastrous climbing accident and nearly lost her leg. She was young, confused, hurt and angry and pushed Chase away. Now, years later, Chase has returned to take over the veterinary clinic and help his sister-in-law, nephew and mother after his brother’s imprisonment. He and Sophie are “waving” acquaintances now, not quite friendly, but polite acknowledgement. Until on the way to their friends’ wedding, Chase stops to help Sophie and a young puppy that she’s hit with her car.

The wedding is where the two start to tentatively repair their relationship: both realizing that they never found that spark with anyone else. Sophie is far more reluctant to take the next steps, she’s lived her life since the accident with caution and ignored or dismissed everything that she used to love to do. Chase still loves those adrenaline-fueled activities: climbing, running and kayaking, but he’s unsure about mentioning them to Sophie, or even bringing her to places they used to love.

Additionally there’s his sister-in-law Tess and his nephew, Petey, and the need to find a new home for the puppy (Comet) that Sophie hit with the car. While Tess works full time at the women’s shelter and cleans houses on the weekends, the onus of her ex-husband's misdeeds have followed them both. While Tess is struggling with finances and parenthood, Petey is bullied at school and wants nothing more than to get his own dog. With Sophie being an honorary ‘aunt’ and Comet there to visit frequently gives Petey his doggie fix, and allows both Sophie and Tess some needed best friend time and support. Oh there are issues, none of which are insurmountable with a bit of good sense, honesty and plenty of heart – something always available in a novel from Annie Rains. Grab this story and escape to Sweetheart Springs, you’ll love the people, the atmosphere and want to find a community just like it to live, love and laugh in.

Sweetwater Springs is always such a wonderful place to visit! Reunited on Dragonfly Lane is no different, as this was such a wonderful second-chance romance.

Chase Lewis and Sophie Daniels used to be the "it" couple and completely inseparable back when they were in their late teens, but a climbing accident badly injured Sophie and in the aftermath, she pushed Chase away effectively ending their relationship.

Now many years on, Chase has returned to town as the sole veterinarian and to help his ex-sister-in-law and nephew after his brother found himself in trouble and subsequently in jail. He's always missed Sophie, but figured that ship had sailed.

Sophie now owns her own clothing boutique and as much as she wishes she didn't still have feelings for her former flame, she definitely does. When she accidentally bumps a puppy with her car, Chase comes to the rescue when he happens to stop and help her.

As the two spend more and more time together because of little Comet, their connection is obvious and no less strong than it was years before. Can they both reflect on where they are and where they have been in order to make a relationship work?

I enjoyed these two so much. I always enjoy second-chance romances and this was no exception. Both characters were flawed and that made it that much more real for me. They both had to look deep inside themselves in order to get to where they needed to be both personally and professionally. I highly recommend this book and any of Annie Rains other titles!

Such a wonderful, clean contemporary romance.I love the characters in this book as well as the town. This book is another winner in the Sweetwater Springs series. I just so sad that this is the final book in the series. It was heartwarming emotional and entertaining.

I really enjoy the Sweetwater Springs series by Annie Rains. Her latest book in the series,#7, is Reunited on Dragonfly Lane and I loved it. The dog Comet tends to steal the show at times and I liked how Comet helps bring Sophie and Chase together. Sophie and Chase are a lovely couple and I enjoyed reading along through to their Happily Ever After.

Sophie and Chase's second-chance romance was a wonderful way to wrap up the Sweetwater Springs series.

Sophie and Chase were each other's first love, but she broke up with him shortly after a terrible accident. Now he's moved back to town and it's not easy to avoid running into each other.

Their story was certainly sweet and low angst, but still emotional as they have to get to know each other now as adults. I appreciated that it wasn't high drama because it was easy to see they still had feelings for each other from their first meeting. Their experiences felt more realistic and relatable. I also liked the focus on the importance of family and second chances in life.

Though I'm sad to say goodbye to this series, I am looking forward to seeing what's next!

Is there anything to add to one of my favorite series? Nope. Not really. I still love this town. I still love the characters in this town. It's always a heartwarming experience to go back to Sweet Water Springs. I enjoyed the characters. I do have to say....I'm still hung up on another couple I read a few months ago. What do you do? I will continue to read this series everytime Annie drops a new book. I love it that much.

This author writes the best small-town journeys! This 2nd chance romance will have you swooning and hoping these two get that 2nd chance. As always when fur babies are involved it is just better.
The feels were here and there's good depth to convey it all. An HEA and happy smiles for Chase and Sophie, and me! A lot of cameos, but still a stand alone in this series

I have thoroughly enjoyed returning to the town of Sweetwater Springs with each addition to the series. Reunited on Dragonfly Lane is the final installment and it was every bit as heartwarming and entertaining as the rest.

This is a second chance love story, and I enjoyed watching Sophie and Chase reconnect and fall for each other all over again. Their renewed feelings of love ran deeper than before. I thought their relationship was sweet and I devoured their story quickly. The low-angst vibe was just what I needed!

If you've been captivated by the rest of the series you won't want to miss this last book. Reunited on Dragonfly Lane is filled with charm and heart, and is the perfect choice for a lover of small-town romance. I'm sad it's over, but I am very much looking forward to reading what comes next from Annie Rains!

This book is a delightful way to end the Sweetwater Springs series. Sophie and Chase are really great characters. It's fun to get to see more of Sophie after seeing her pop up in the other books in the series. It's also great to see Chase returning to town after being away for a while.

Sophie makes great progress working on some issues and coming to be more sure of herself while Chase is so supportive and encouraging of her all while working through some issues of his own. It's so great to see them come together. And any book with a dog is a good book and Comet adds so much to this story.

I am going to admit that I have been a little cranky about this being the final book in Sweetwater Springs. I have truly enjoyed the characters and the town and watching the other stories overlap as the series progresses. I waited so long for Granger and Joy that I wasn't sure about Sophie and Chase, but once again, Annie pulled me in and made me happy. Chase and Sophie's second chance at love is the best mix of growth through overcoming fears and their past as well as a fast paced reunion. Their story was warm and comforting when I needed it and was just the right one to close out Sweetwater Springs and open the door to Somerset Lake. I feel excited and have some closure and can't wait for what's next. Thank you, Annie and Forever, for letting me read.
