Dream Team is a new spinoff series from Dream Man and Rock Chick universe, and Dream Chaser was just as fun as the first, Dream Maker.

Dream Chaser follows Ryn Jansen, dancer at Smithies, and her super drama-filled family problems. Along comes Boone Sadler to help her out, and lo and behold she's in danger! Like most of the books in this universe, there is action, drama, angst, and romance.

Read it if you loved Rock Chicks, Dream Man, or anything really by Kristen Ashley!

I’m a huge KA fan and love where she is taking this series. Her male characters are alphas and the females fierce and inspiring. There’s so much drama, suspense, and what the heck moments. Not to mention the hot and steamy scenes that have you fanning yourself. Each story continues on but you can start in the middle of a series and know what’s going on. Love Boone and Ryn so much and I know you will also.

Ryn is a stripper who wants to flip houses.  She bought a house to flip, but her resources have been going towards keeping her sister-in-law and her niece and nephew afloat.  Her brother is an alcoholic and being a single mother is hard for her sister-in-law, Angelica.  Angelica is fragile and has headaches so Ryn takes care of the kids a lot – takes them to school, etc.

When Boone takes it upon himself to do a little investigating into Angelica (because he likes Ryn and doesn’t want her taken advantage of) he finds some stuff that’s not so great.  Ryn is pissed that Boone looked into her life, but even more pissed about what he finds out about Angelica.  When confronted, Angelica tries to deny it, but Boone has pictures/proof.  Thinking to punish Ryn, Angelica cuts Ryn out of the kids’ lives.  When Ryn talks to her brother about it, he takes Angelica’s side and agrees with Ryn staying away from the kids she loves.

Ryn is hurt, but Boone is there to comfort her.  When she is pseudo-kidnapped, he is beside himself.  When there’s a murder and Ryn’s life is in danger, Boone steps up and takes charge.  Since he’s a dom in the bedroom and Ryn’s submissive he thinks this is A-OK, but Ryn’s only submissive in the bedroom, not everywhere else.  Boone and Ryn have a lot to work out if they are to make a relationship work between them.  Ryn has been hurt by the men in her life so taking a chance on  Boone is a huge step – one that she hopes she won’t regret.

This is book two in the Dream Team series.  While this wasn’t a bad story, I didn’t care for it as much as I did book one.  When I first saw that it was BDSM I was put off, but kept reading.  It was really BDSM-light in every way.  Nothing too crazy at all and that was fine.  What bothered me was that there was So. Much. Talking.  My God it just went on and on.  Not a lot happened in the middle of the book and it dragged. I liked the first 25% and the last 15% a lot, but that wasn’t even enough to save the book for me and give it a higher rating.

I liked Boone and Ryn together – and liked Ryn a lot on her own. Boone, by himself, wasn’t my favorite person.  He was like a freight train that ran over Ryn and once he was with her it was fine, but meh, I didn’t love him.  He pulled a stunt once they were together that bothered me a lot, and he never really recovered from that in my mind – despite him trying to talk his way out of it.  It was petty and immature and it pissed me off.

So, while this was a decent read – and I loved the kids in it (should have been in there more, imho) it wasn’t fantastic.  I’m glad I read it for the continuity of the story ARC, but did I love it, no.

Rating: 3.25 out of 5

As an aside let me say I am loving these retro book covers.  They totally remind me of 70's/80' cop shows and I find them very cool.

Dream Chaser is fast-paced and entertaining. I think fans of the series or of Kristen Ashley in general will enjoy this one. I have read some of her book with mixed feelings. I know I can count on a wild, fun fantasy, and this book fit the bill here, but I didn't really like Ryn, so it was hard for me to get invested in her story. Her thoughts were all over the place and when she wasn't jumping from one random thought to another, she was talking nonstop. Boone was the other extreme: stunted me-Tarzan-you-Jane speech. They were hard to relate to.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Ryn sure likes to drive her man batty, "baby, can you do me a big effin’ favor and not make friends with fugitives?” he asked." Boone's attitude really is awesome, “mom, you’re telling my girlfriend what an ugly eff I was.” I liked this book, I loved Boone.

An amazing new title from Kristen Ashley. Part of a series but can be read alone, this book had it all. Romance, angst, action, and the perfect amount of steam! Always a winner, this newest addition to the "Dream" series is amazing. I was blown away by the characters and can't wait for the newest installment. Read this if you love romance at all, you won't be disappointed!

Well this was one hell of a ride. Color me excited that we get to experience a D/s situation. Any who on with the review! In true KA alpha male goodness, this book did not disappoint. We get our girls back together, not as many shenanigans but good friendship all the same.

I enjoyed Ryn and Boone together. I was glad that he did not give up pursuing her and equally ecstatic that she pulled her head out of her butt and gave him a chance. Throughout the book her brother and sister n law were a real piece of work. I cannot believe how Angelica was playing Ryn, that irked me so bad! There wasn’t a lot of action, in this book though, no real shoot em ups, but enough to keep you interested. I absolutely loved Ryn’s interactions with Brett (Cisco), he seems like a good decent felon. It was awesome to see how the Chaos crew came to adore and love Ryn. I did not however like how Boone and his boys treated her when they had an argument and were semi broke up. Other than that it was a classic KA book that was full of steam and hot sexy moments.

Kristian Ashely didn't disappoint! Ryn's bad ass woman .... Working as a stripper to pay to make her dream of flipping houses come true even while helping with her niece and nephew.... Boone OMG I so want a man like him.... Gives me the shivers (in a very good way) such an alpha man!

Yesssssss!!! In this crazy pandemic we’ve been going through, Kristen Ashley’s Dream Team series has exponentially improved my mood! Dream Chaser is the second installment in the series and just when I thought Kristen Ashley couldn’t top the first book (Dream Maker), she goes and gives us this gem! From the beginning, I was “all in” and let me say it definitely had all the feels— my heart swooned, warmed, hurt, and did a couple of flips! This book is Kristen Ashley gold— some good romance novels have great characters and some have great storylines, but when an author can do both like KA has done in Dream Chaser, it’s pure magic!!!! I highly recommend this 5 star book (and series) and I am truly so excited for the next installment!

Great book and series!! I took one star off because, for me it feels like I should have read the crossover series, you definitely don't have to I still could follow along just fine but I wish I knew all the characters a little bit more?! Other than that this book was awesome! It's filled with suspense, action, intrigue, lots of heart pounding moments! And of course it was hot 🔥🔥🔥!! I definitely recommend this book and series, if you've read the crossovers?! Definitely don't miss out on this series! Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!
