I have read very few books surrounding genetics in a sci-fi setting, but this one actually surprised me. The most enjoyable parts of this book were the relationships, how they developed in the race against time. The writing was okay, easy to read but didn't hook me enough. Overall, a solid 3 star read if you want to foray into sci-fi but nothing too hard core.

I enjoyed this book. The characters feel three dimensional. The action flows naturally. The main protagonist is bound to make mistakes, often, but not so much that you get the wrong impression. He's just a regular guy trying hard to complete his mission. Another plus for me was the futuristic tech, since it's not perfect and its flaws present challenges to the protagonist and help the action move along. I recommend this read. You don't have to be a Sci Fi fan to enjoy it. I will certainly read the next installment on the series.
Thank you for the advanced copy!
