This was refreshing twist on a tired troupe. It's great to see a strong woman take the lead. I have to say to some of the other readers...30 is by no means an older woman! The writing is fresh, funny and sexy. For readers who like erotica, or their romance on the hot side.

Tiffany Reisz returns to the Godwicks with fervor and heat. I enjoyed this relationship dynamic and found it so refreshing to have a dominant, older woman with a younger, submissive man. Their relationship was steamy but also emotional, especially as Regan's past comes into play.

While I didn't blush nearly as much as I did while reading The Red, The Pearl is a fitting addition in this world of lust and desire, with the perfect sprinkle of the paranormal to boot.

The Pearl was naughty or so naughty. The third Godwicks book is everything I was expecting I am so happy Tiffany released it when she did just the right amount of time in-between. I loved the characters and the direction it went a overall great read!

I was so excited to hear that Tiffany Reisz had written a third Godwicks book. I loved The Red and especially The Rose, both of which are completely bananas and so much fun. I didn't enjoy The Pearl quite as much. The fantastic element from the two previous books was largely missing here, and the dynamic between the main characters was different. We don't disappear into living nude paintings or Greek mythology seduction scenes here. Reisz is a great writer and knows how to craft a tale with plenty of sensual suspense, but this wasn't quite as effective.

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the ARC to review.

The Pearl is an erotic masterpiece. Not just erotic for shock factor, the scenes totally added depth to the overall story. Arthur and Regan's chemistry was amazing and they fit together perfectly. While we get a little bit of a "ghost story", The Pearl is not as over-the-top fantastical as the two connected books in the series. I loved the way that these connected stories were brought full circle in the end. Tiffany Reisz never disappoints!

I always think that Tiffany Reisz will not write a better book than the last one- and every new book proves me wrong. This book was everything I could want in the next book. Just enough of the magic and Malcolm - to tie it in- but still it’s own story. I love the older woman, younger man relationship, I love the twist at the end and never saw it coming. Five Stars for Ms. Reisz and The Pearl.

Lord Malcolm to the rescue.... once again!
When calm and quiet Lord Arthur Godwick shows up at the infamous hotel (former brothel) The Pearl to clean up his younger brother's mess, he has absolutely no idea what he's up against. Coming from a notoriously eccentric family, he discovers a very deep part of himself he never knew he had when he offers himself up as Regan Ferry's love slave, to do as she pleases with him. Another sensually decadent story of Lord Malcolm's decedents which will tickle your fancy. 5 Sensually Sinful Stars for "The Pearl"... where past meets present with a wicked twist of magic.

Another masterpiece from the hand of Ms. Reisz. I loved the story, the plot, the mystery, and the characters. The dialogues, snickering, and picking amazes me every time I read one of her books. The characters are so well built I can picture them with me. The fantasy part is great and there were moments I felt like I went to the past and was reading and living historical romance. The kink and the sex is fabulously hot every time, I liked how she was in charge, but he still didn't come out weak. Their connection and chemistry were sparkling.
I recommend this to readers who enjoy their romance with strong female and kinky characters and a hint of mystery.

Even though each book in this series is unique and clever in it's own way, the theme through them all is fantasies brought to live. Arthur thinks he has his place in the world figured out. He knows his role in his family as protector of his brother. His need to rescue his brother results in a deal with the devil that changes everything. While this one is a little more mysterious ghost story than fantasy, it still has that same quirky style found in all Tiffany Reisz stories. I had a little bit of trouble connecting at first, but grew to love them and cheered as they discovered their true selves. I struggled again as the final plot twist was revealed, but very quickly all the pieces begin to fall together in a magical way. You walk away from this book feeling both satisfied and craving more. Honestly - this makes me want to start again with The Red!

Tiffany Reisz is the queen of smart, engaging, hot, erotica. Everything she writes is an automatic purchase to me. The Pearl has the right touch of mystery, a little bit of a ghost story, and a twist you'll see coming from a mile away, but you still won't be able to put it down.

For whatever reason, I wasn't able to sink into The Pearl the way I did while reading The Rose.
As with the others in this series, Reisz takes some art and bends the erotic scenes around the piece. In The Rose it was paintings (the art gallery setting), The Rose was Greek myths and The Pearl is once again paintings, but with a focus on female painters. This fits as the romantic arc of The Pearl is largely for Regan as she recovers from a terrible marriage and a past loss. Arthur is something of a cinnamon roll with a desire to submit and please. Regan revels in the power she has over him and initially considers it something like revenge on the Godwicks for a past wrong done to her mother. (CW: death of parent from cancer)
Overall, the sex scenes are hot but the romantic pull between the two MCs wasn't there and I didn't connect with Arthur. Regan was thoroughly fleshed out, but Arthur was sort of a sweet potato.

I'll keep going with the series, but I can't yell about this one like I did The Rose. There's a tease at the end that suggests future books, but we'll have to wait and see!

Spoiler:

Readers familiar with Reisz's work will not be surprised by the revelation late in the book, but those who do not wish to read about a great-grandfather manipulating the sex/love lives of two of his great-grandchildren from beyond the grave will want to give this a pass.

The Godwicks Series is such a fun escape and The Pearl is a perfect addition to this erotic series. This particular novel focuses on the pairing of Regan and Arthur ....and a certain figurehead and his meddling ways.

This novel wastes no time getting into the thick of the story of Regan and Arthur and their forced pairing. I really enjoyed the roles each of them took on in the relationship and as the pages turned, their back stories and chemistry had me inhaling this novel in a matter of hours. In addition to their eroticism and love story, I enjoyed the continuation of using art as a unifying thread between all three novels. I also enjoyed Arthur's commentary on his parents and siblings and am hoping that there might be one more Godwick that has a magical story to tell.

In the mood for a read that is erotic, romantic, and magical? The Pearl will hit all those for you and then some.

Bookalzheimer me obviously can't remember everything that happened in the first two books. BUT, we don't really need to remember. Some things will come back to us while reading The Pearl. But this is a complete standalone.
Arthur is the 21 year old son of the art-loving Godwicks. He's been summoned to The Pearl Hotel in London to rescue his brother. Arthur thinks he might have to pay for prostitutes or some destroyed furniture. And yes, little brother owes 100k - but the boss lady doesn't want money. She wants ten days of Arthur. Whenever and wherever - and however she says.

Let the fun times begin!

Well. Not sure what to say. I love Tiffany's books. Her writing, her weird taboo storylines. But this time, I wasn't a fan of this dominant older women with a younger man thing. It's all totally perfect if it's Nora in the Original Sinners series - nothing could ever be written in that series that I would hate. But I kinda hated it a bit here. Arthur is only 21 and she's 30. That's totally acceptable. Arthur is a very mature, old soul. But I didn't like the slave-ish, tying him up, feeding him et cetera kind of thing. BUT - I also kind of loved the story. Arthur and Regan are both very interesting characters. The first part of the book is told in Arthur's POV and we just love him. He's adorable. He loves his family and his brother and he's a bit insecure about himself and his sexuality and life in general. And then this supposedly strong woman comes along and tells him what to do - and he loves it. And he hates that he loves it.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was hella erotic - obviously. And a bit mysterious and paranormal or whatever you want to call it - the whole 'series' is like that.

I liked it. I think Tiffany could write the phone book and I would devour it!

Even though I kinda hated the relationship a bit in the beginning, I grew to love them as a couple. I really enjoyed reading this in the end. I even googled all the artwork!

I can't wait to get more from this world!

► Erotic, sweet, mysterious, scary, full of art, family history ... and lots of pearls 😉. This is a really great series! Different. READ IT!

A really well-written book with some incredibly hot sex scenes, but the connection between the two main characters (and I'm not talking about their sexual chemistry) made me feel a little uncomfortable and kind of ruined the book for me. A pity.

CW: [miserable ex-marriage, parental death, brain cancer, voluntary sterilization (hide spoiler)]

I enjoyed the two previous books in the series, but THE PEARL unfortunately didn’t work for me due to one main reason. Toward the end, we discover something, and that revelation was a hard nope for me. It’s just not what I like to read in romance, and that’s okay because we all have different red lines re: preferences. If it doesn’t faze you, then you still might like this book.
