Ok, so for those of you rating this book poorly and claiming this is the worst of the three in this series, I have to remind you that this is a mere FANTASY. That's the whole point. Art and lust and fantasy. Not necessarily mithology, but fantasy. I think I have to state this before anything cause I received this book as a courtesy ARC from the publisher (thank you 8th Circle Press ☺️) but I am in no way biased. Not every book from Tiffany is going to leave me speechless like The Red did, but this one, The Pearl, needed a tad bit more history about its landmark. That's the obe thing I wont give this a 5 star for. I think if we would've added a bit of history about Lord Malcolm's adventures at The Pearl in between chapters, we would've had a more in depth knowledge about the place itself. Yes, we do learn its a historical hotel cause it hosted rich englishmen seeking pleasure for sale, but come on, I wanted to see more about this place. I guess I just would've been happy seeing a but more of Lord Malcolm cause yes, Arthur was a little bit more decent to be a Godwick.

Anyways, it's phenomenal writing as always. I dont think Tiffany can steer anybody wrong with that cause her writing style is simply exquisite. The fact she included artwork and the story behind these pieces just makes me wish I was part of them too. ❤️

Everyone Has Their Price
Leading up to its release I saw some of my favorite authors gushing about The Pearl by Tiffany Reisz so when it hit my kindle I was excited to see what the fuss was about! This was my introduction to Ms. Reisz and what a way to begin!



At first I found myself feeling like I was missing something as the references to Lord Malcolm felt like an inside joke I was not apart of, but very quickly it became apparent that he was a mischievous spirit determined to meddle in the love (and lust) of his descendants. This was the only part that I think would be more impactful to someone who has read the previous books, but for a newbie like me it is eventually pieced together as the story progresses and we are able to appreciate his debauchery all the same.

Our main man Arthur is beckoned to the great Pearl Hotel to once again clean up after his younger brother Charlie. He arrives to learn that Charlie has incurred a large debt after participating in the illicit services they offer.  In his desperation to settle his balance Charlie has offered up a prized family heirloom which Arthur must now work to get back. But Lady Ferry, the owner of the hotel, has her price for the return of the family treasure, and it’s his butt in her bed for 10 days. Arthur’s deal with the beautiful Reagan Ferry ends up being the excuse he needs to give in to his deepest desires to serve and obey. As the days pass and the lines between lust and love blur, hidden agendas and ghosts from their past make them question everything they thought they knew about their deal, their families and each other.

I appreciate how the author was able to make a story set in modern day read like a classic historical romance. Other than the references to modern conveniences I could have been convinced this was set 200 years ago. The chemistry between Arthur and Regan was instantaneously explosive and their intimate interludes were often accentuated with a passionate tête-à-tête surrounding the artwork that would be their voyeur of the evening. Their verbal foreplay gives way to spicy scenes that would make even a regular romance reader blush. Beyond the bedroom their story plays out like a classic reluctant romance turn epic love story. If this is any indication of what I can expect from Ms. Reisz’s work she’s definitely got some tricks up her sleeve and I’m excited to see what they are!

I picked this up because I was in the mood for something steamy. I didn't realise this was the third book in a series, but I had absolutely no problems understanding the story as it can be read as a standalone.

This story is the opposite of a slow burn. Things begin so fast and I really enjoyed the quick pacing of it all. It made the story fun and entertaining, perfect for an afternoon read.

This is my first book by Tiffany Reisz, but it definitely won't be by last. I need to pick up the other books in this Godwicks series now!

The Pearl is an erotic and graphic book about a complex and seemingly dangerous relationship with a twist. It is dark, atmospheric and gothic.

This book was recommended by a couple of authors or readers so I took it for review. I'm glad I did. It's edgy. The characters are intriguing and complex. The story original. I enjoyed all of it even though at times I found it a bit uncomfortable because it was so out of my norm.

Arthur and Regan mostly what you'd expect yet every now and then they surprise you. Regan can be caring and Arthur isn't a total push over. Their relationship progresses so nicely even as they are denying having any attachment. Or more accurately, as Regan continues to insist they have no relationship.

I love getting a book like this that is so far from the formula most romances follow. Don't get me wrong, their are formulaic parts but there are many unexpected and unusual elements including the paranormal. I had not read the other books in the series and that in no way hinder my enjoyment of this book. Well that's a long way of saying the book can be read as a stand-alone though it is not.

The Pearl by Tiffany Reisz is the third book in The Godwicks series, which is highly erotic, highly mystical, and artistically evocative. Whilst this book is part of a series it can absolutely be read as a standalone, however, every single book in this series has been superbly fabulous, so we highly recommend reading The Red and The Rose as well! It is no secret that Tiffany Reisz is one of our all-time favourite Authors. There really is something about her flawless writing, her sense of humour and quick liners. The banter, creativity and complex layered characters are second to none. Her books are compelling.

“You can try to hate me, hate us, all you want, but I know the truth. You hate yourself.”

In The Pearl, we meet Lord Arthur Godwick (the son of Mona from The Red) who, as an overprotective brother, offers to pay his brother’s debt to the owner of The Pearl Hotel, Lady Reagan Ferry. The debt is to be paid off in bed, which seems fitting, as The Pearl was formerly known as a brothel frequented by good old, Sir Malcolm Godwick. The connection between Reagan and Arthur was on fire! Her, being older in her early thirties and dominant, and him being in his early twenties and submissive to her demands. It was tantalisingly HOT! Tiffany Reisz, without question, writes the most amazing heroines, we have never come across one we did not fall utterly in love with. They truly are the most compelling, strong, funny, loving, sensual and endearingly vulnerable powerhouse characters. And my oh my Arthur, be still our hearts, what a wonderful man. A powerful man, who truly loved Reagan using his body and mind as her own personal playground of discovery and satisfaction.

“Why are you in a good mood? It’s annoying me,” she said.
“Why are you so cross? You’re the one who gets to fuck me tonight.”
“Are all the Godwicks like you?” she asked?
“Clever, charming? Desperately attractive?”
“Obnoxious? Sardonic? Insufferably arrogant?”

Fantasies are erotically brought to life in The Pearl through the medium of art, and it was both provocative and highly sensual. It was passionate, philosophical, and emotional as Reagan is on a journey of personal forgiveness, untangling invisible bonds and freeing herself from the past, her mind and life’s consequential restraints. Tiffany Reisz once again delivers a flawlessly written masterpiece that hits your heart with an overwhelming impact. We wanted more ‘afters’ from Reagan and Arthur, such was the comprehensive depths of their characters that we felt we knew them inside out hence we were left bereft when we had to leave them. But such is life when you are addicted to Tiffany Reisz, her stories and her characters. It can never be enough. Sophisticated intellectual erotica at its most magnificent!

‘With Arthur, a thousand years in his arms wouldn’t be enough.’

The Pearl is not my usual read. And by that I mean I’ve never read published erotica.
The scenes weren’t quite as “interesting” as I would’ve expected for all the submissive was thrown around. Maybe I’ve been reading too much fanfiction lately, though.
Honestly, I think the ghost plotline was what kept me reading.

This has a strong back story and character development, which I appreciate. It was steamy, but I didn't alway feel the connection between the characters. It was pretty good though for my first read from this author.

The Godwicks are hiding a secret. It takes us the better part of the story to reveal it but boy is it worth the wait. It opens with a big brother making a bargain with the owner of a well established hotel, that offers all manner of delight, to clear his brothers dealt. The bargain unsends the life of Arthur and leaves him at the mercy of Regan Ferry . She commands he must obey, and command she does, him to her bed, the floor, almost any serviceable surface, any time of day or night. What neither expects is a connection that transcends this world and onto the next. I hope this is just the beginning of many reading adventures from this author. Just keep a very cold glass of liquid handy. You will need IT! Happy reading!

I did not read the first two books… This one can be read as standalone but I wonder if I should have read them in order first. I could not get into it at first though mostly due to the erotic genre, older heroine and younger hero (submissive) getting it on… not that much age gap but I didn’t feel the connection with them. There is a bit of supernatural, paranormal, mysterious thing going on too. They grow on me at the end through. I probably need to go back to the first two books to get the whole world of The Godwicks. If you are looking for a whole lot of sexy, mysterious, erotic BDSM this is for you. The writing is excellent.

3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is a story about heaven and hell, love and hate, revenge and forgiveness, and good old hard-core sex. The sex takes up most of the book and is highly descriptive so be prepared and it’s centers around whatever portrait or painting they are trying to emulate in there lovemaking. Lord Arthur agrees to pay off his brother’s debt to The Pearl Hotel (a/k/a brothel) by giving the owner, Regan, 10 nights of sex to be solely at her request and with her dominating the “action.” It’s hard to see how this is a terrible penalty for any man to hook-up with a beautiful woman satisfying her every need and wish. I had a couple of issues which were that every scene was a lead up to mass of the details of their outlandish and highly sexual behavior. I lost track of how many times he regretted having a hard on when Lord Arthur felt he should be repulsed by her behavior. In the end, I think I just didn’t care for either character very much and I didn’t get the chemistry. It may just be me.

Tiffany Reisz always writes a compelling steamy romance with characters that I want to keep reading about and The Pearl is no different. Looped into the world of The Red and The Rose, it is similarly graphic in sex scenes but has a strong minded female character leading the plot, so personally I enjoyed this for what it is – a light hearted read that builds on the Godwicks’ world further, but readers don’t need to have read the other books previously to follow along with this one.

The Godwicks fans are sure to love all the charm of Arthur Godwick in The Pearl!

Tiffany Reisz is one of my more enjoyable Erotic authors and The Pearl does not disappoint. The book is full of debauchery, intrigue and engaging dialogue. So if you are looking for a well written story that is sexier than a typical Romance book The Pearl series is a great place to start.

This book was about what I expected. It was not my first Tiffany Reisz book and won't be my last, but I felt like the story was lacking a little to give more time to the sex scenes. I liked the characters, but I wanted more, especially from Arthur.

When Arthur’s younger brother Charlie runs up a massive debt at The Pearl Hotel, Arthur agrees to work of the debt himself. After a few weeks of work, Arthur begins to fall for The Pearl’s owner, Regan, and attempts to uncover the secret behind her emotional distance.

This book is a steamy romance with a sweet conclusion that leaves everyone satisfied. But, about three quarters into the story it is revealed that the romantic leads of the story are 2nd cousins. They move past the revelation and are able to continue their romance but as a reader, I found it unsettling and struggled to continue reading.

The writing itself is solid and immersive. The pacing for the romance and the book as a whole is very well done, and every emotional reveal helps further the plot rather than weighing it down.

Tiffany Reisz is a one click autonatic for me.  I have read everything she's written and always want more. 

This is the third book in the installment of The Red.  (Which was my favourite) Arthur and Regan were an entertaining couple to read about.  I adore the wat Tiffany tells a story.  The characters are more than that, they are real in your mind while you read her words. 

I love how reading this art, took me to google the actual art mentioned in the story.  Alot of authors have a play list of music, not Tiffany for this one, its a painting list.  All of which were quite beautiful to the eye and in Tiffanys description.

The story of Arthur and Regan is intriguing, sexy, erotic with classic Tiffany wise cracks, and a Tiffany twist.   Oh yeah and throw in Lord Malcolm's ghost for the win!! Zoot's character was classic Tiffany, I loved her. 

I look forward to more of Tiffanys stories, she always grabs me and pulls me in.

This was more spicy than expected, but an easy trashy read. #3 in a series, but readable without #1 and 2. The characters aren't super well developed, and falls back on the "we can solve all our problems with sex" trope every few pages.

Steamy with enough plot to keep you turning pages. I enjoyed this even more than I thought I would and look forward to reading more by this author.
