I read The Red a few weeks ago and found it super fun and sexy and a little suspenseful. I enjoyed it enough that I was thrilled to get to read this, despite missing the second book in this series. I think it’s useful to read them in order but this worked well as my second read in the series. It was not quite as over the top sexy for me as The Red, but it was delightful and more romantic. Recommended for light erotica readers! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for this unbiased review.

I so wanted to enjoy this book. I know that this author is a preeminent write in the erotic romance genre. I have read a few of her books but have not fond one that I really loved. Perhaps she is just not for me.
For me, the biggest issue with this book is that I felt no chemistry. Neither character is particularly likeable and the storyline felt silly to me. I was also a little off put by the familial connection. It is well written but it is not for me.

Whew! I was really looking forward to this one once I realized it was the aristocracy set in modern times, but it wasn't quite what I expected. I liked the powerful "older" woman/younger man dynamic but I'm afraid the narrative was a little too all over the place for me to really enjoy. It seemed to be multiple stories at once and the paranormal aspect felt a little too forced to feel organic. While I will certainly never look at a strand of pearls the same way again (super hot!), I was ready for this one to be done.

Absolutely LOVED the latest in this series!! I thought it was interesting to have the male be more of the submissive one (though he could definitely throw down). I loved being given bits and pieces of the past as we moved through the book. I felt like the family reveal towards the end wasn't really needed but it didn't take anything away for me. Omg I nearly SCREAMED when the two people got on the elevator at the end. Leaving the door open for one more book in the series I hope?!?!

I requested The Pearl by Tiffany Reisz on NetGalley without reading the first two books in the series but I will be going back to read them. I don’t feel that you had to read the earlier books to enjoy this foray into the Godwicks family.
Charlie Godwin owes The Pearl hotel one hundred thousand dollars or a beloved family painting. Regan Ferry will accept his brother, Lord Arthur Godwick, as her submissive play thing instead. What starts as a trade becomes more when the ghost of great-grandfather Godwick begins haunting the couple.
I enjoyed the older woman, younger man trope. I liked that Arthur had to embrace his submissive side but he only could with Regan. The Pearl was full of super sexy scenes, from Arthur’s submissiveness to toys to dirty talk, I was here for the sexy moments.
There was a strong paranormal presence, lots of talk of art and reference to Poe. I could suspend reality to embrace the ghost of great grandfather Malcom, pushing his descendants to find happiness. There were lots of references to art work, which I know nothing about but Reisz did a great job explaining how the art impacted Arthur or Regan.
What I thought was going to be a steamy, erotic read was that but also mysterious and captivating enough for me to dive into the her backlist.

Strong erotic novel filled with snarky humor etc., but the inclusion of the supernatural aspects/scenes took me right out.

This is the third book in this series by this author. This book can be read as a stand alone read. This is the erotic story of Arthur and Regan. This book will take you on a journey of submission, erotic, self discovery and emotions. This story pulls you in from the first page and keeps you captivated till the very last one. This author is amazing at writing erotic romance reads that are gripping and emotional.

First of all I have to tell you, that I love Tiffany Reisz' style. She is unique in the erotic genre and I really enjoy reading her books.
Before this book I read and loved The Red, and The Rose was a good book too (but I loved The Red more). After these I didn't want to skip The Pearl, but it didn't became my favorite.
The writing was fantastic as always but I didn't enjoy the plot. It wasn't as exciting as the previous books. The characters didn't become my favorite either. In this book in a lot of chapters I read that Arthur was a submissive, but I didn't think so. He did everything for his partner in the bedroom but I really didn't think he was submissive. He was a man, mostly he was who controlled during sex.
Regan was an okay character for me. I didn't have any problem with her.
The sex scenes were hot as always.
So I'm sorry but I can only give 3*

If you’re looking for something hotter than steam, then Tiffany Reisz is here for you. Arthur is the heir to the Godwick estate but refuses to live up to the raunchy reputation they’ve built for themselves. He knows his bloodline sings for intense sexual experiences and Regan Ferry knows it, exploits it, and forces him to accept that part of himself.
Alongside the very steamy sexual scenes, the story does have a good plot with a sprinkling of paranormal themes. Again this book is not for the demure. The only turn off for me was the consent issues. The female protagonist essentially forces the male into a sexual relationship even though he does explicitly say no and even performs some acts almost against his will, so it toes the line for me. The female protagonist even manipulates him and tells him he chose this so... was it really consent?

I enjoyed reading The Pearl, by Tiffany Reisz - I actually managed to finish it in two days. The book is sexy, with likeable characters and I also loved the fact that art and female artists were woven into the storyline.
I think the writing is a little weak in places - I preferred Reisz's writing in the Siren, which was more assured, more lyrical, but I definitely prefer the plot and characters in this book. I would have liked the art and artists to have been woven in more seamlessly - it did feel a little contrived in places. I love, love the premise and idea of the novel but I think it could have been done a little bit better, especially since I've read her other novel. The book suggests a female dominant but there actually wasn't a lot of that in the book - I'd have liked that to be taken further.
Overall, a fun, sexy read

The Pearl by Tiffany Reisz
The Godwicks #3
Steamy fantasy fiction at its best – this book held my interest from beginning to end. I had no idea this was the third book in a series but it would seem that they are all standalone stories that began with the parents of the main character in this book and then went on to their daughter and now the heir to the title, Arthur, finds his life partner in this book.
What I liked:
* Arthur “Art” Godwick: heir to the title, heading to the military after finishing at Sandhurst, old soul, good brother and son, a good man, willing to keep people safe, and…thoroughly intriguing at only twenty-one.
* Regan Ferry: widowed at thirty after ten unhappy years of marriage, still a prisoner of her past, out for revenge, has a pet raven, an artist, intriguing and wonderful in her own way
* That I could see how Art and Regan brought out the best in one another
* The growth made by both main characters
* Zoot: Greta was a hoot…kind of want to know how her life fares and wonder if she will have a book of her own
* Charlie: Arthur’s brother and rather mixed up but with great potential…will his story be next?
* The handling of the age difference between the two main characters
* The paranormal aspect of the story
* Malcolm…smiling as I think about him…
* The steamy bits…my, oh my, OH MY…
* The story…couldn’t put it down
* All of it really except…
What I didn’t like:
* Being reminded that sometimes security forces life decisions that may not be in a person’s best interest
* Not having heard of this author till now.
Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Would I read more by this author? Definitely

I was really looking forward to this book because I've enjoyed the previous books in this series, but The Pearl just doesn't live up. This has none of the over-the-top, buckwild, mythological sex that I came to expect - in fact, I found the sex kind of a letdown, especially coming from Reisz. I didn't feel like Regan and Arthur actually clicked that well as people, and the ending was incredibly cheesy.

I absolutely adore the Godwicks and this book was no exception! It was refreshing (and sexy af) to read an older woman and younger man dynamic with the man as the submissive one. And I’m so happy that good ol’ Malcolm played a more prominent part in this one compared to the last book. The pearl scene did NOT disappoint (my curiosity was piqued after seeing other reviews).
And that ending! I don’t know if Reisz plans to give us a book featuring the couple shown at the end, but if she does, I’d read it in a heartbeat!!

This book was so good. It was definitely a page turner. I couldn't put it down. Although, it was a little creepy with Grandpa watching them do the deed.

This is the first book I've read by Tiffany Reisz and when I first read the little blurb about this book I was under the impression is was a 17th/18th century regency type romance, so I was surprised to find out that it takes place in the present day. This book was so good though and I can't wait to get my hands on more by this author! It's well written, erotic, sensual, and even has a touch of a ghost story (which I was not expecting, but thoroughly enjoyed).

Every time I pick up a book written by Tiffany Reisz I am in awe. She has a unique voice that carrys a story like no other.
I've enjoyed reading this series and have been here since The Red was first released. That story was phenomenal and then followed up with an equally as great book, The Rose. Now we arrive at The Pearl and I'm in wonderstruck again.
In this story we follow Arthur one of the heir's to the Godwick family. His younger brother Charlie has got himself into a bit of a mess with Regan Ferry's business at The Pearl. The only way to pay off his debt was to give her a painting of Lord Godwick that his parents treasure so much.
When Arthur discovers this he's willing to do anything and I mean anything to have that painting back. She requests he sleeps with her in exchange for it and thus begins a very interesting and mysterious story.
In all of the books in this series there is an element of mystical and mystery that keeps you wondering what is going to happen next. There's beautifully written erotica which is a personal talent of Tiffany Reisz's if you read any of her books.
I devoured this story and loved how the characters grew with the support of a special someone. I also loved the message of living for right now because why should you wait. If you want something or someone in this matter go for it.
Arthur mends damaged relationships and Regan mends herself. Together they have this funny, sweet and seductive relationship filled with chemistry to the brim. You won't have a boring moment when reading The Pearl and that's for sure!

Wow! Such an exciting and erotic read. I love how she combined erotica and paranormal into one story.
Once I started reading this one I couldn’t put it down. I got sucked into the world of seduction, romance, and ghosts.
Can’t wait to read her next story. She is definitely an author of the times!
Thanks Netgalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

This book was interesting. I don't usually go for guys being the sub type books but characters had so much heart that it really made their relationship very believable. The sex got a little bit boring after a while but the love and romance was there for me. I very much look forward to the next book.

A very sensual, sexy, well written story. Arthur and Regan's relationship is a very different type of bdsm book. Reagan is the dominant, in charge of Arthur's payback of his brothers debt. Arthur is slowly finding himself, and its wonderful watching him blossom!
