So…. this wasn’t what I expected. And yet, exactly what I should’ve expected from Tiffany Reisz.
This is just a teensy bit spoilery, so read further at your own peril.
As Arthur, the heir to the Godwick’s estate, titles, etc. is called to bail his younger brother, Charles, from whatever problem he’s in now, he definitely doesn’t expect to pay his brother’s debt to a wealthy widow and the owner of The Pearl, in bed.
Regan Ferry is a beautiful, sensual and vindictive woman. She’s grown her entire life with the knowledge that Arthur’s great-grandfather could’ve saved her mother from a certain death, but didn’t. And so when the opportunity arises to enact her revenge on the Godwicks, she takes it.
I loved the story, the plot being revealed slowly, and per the Godwick books, how it revolves around art and the erotic aspects of some of the paintings. I loved how Reisz manipulates the characters, and how they so easily bend to her will. I also loved the BDSM aspect in this story. It’s not very often you get to read about a male submissive and a female dominatrix, and the power play is beautiful to read.
The Pearl is definitely a fabulous closure to this trilogy. Erotic, dramatic, romantic and at times even funny – it’s a great book to read under the covers on a cold weekend.

Thanks to Netgalley and 8th Circle Press for an egalley in exchange for an honest review.
Last night I took a page out of the self-care handbook and relaxed with a hot bath, candles and this delightful erotica. When Lord Arther Godwick is summoned to the home of Lady Regan Ferry over the antics of his irresponsible brother, the handsome aristocrat soon finds himself locked in a sexual contract with a widow bent on revenge.
Although the water-cooled, the electricity between Arthur and Reagan was 100% passionate and the story was so darn interesting that I was never bored. Yes, I do get bored with erotica but Tiffany Reisz wrote such intriguing characters that I grew to love her two main characters very much. Now I shall keep on the lookout for more titles from this author.

A tad more subdued than the first two installments, but no less delightfully salacious, The Pearl was yet another exceptionally written erotic tale from Reisz's wickedly brilliant imagination. This latest release in the Godwick saga (which technically is considered a stand-alone novel, but highly recommend experiencing the series in its entirety) centered around Lord Arthur and Lady Regan Ferry's blossoming May-December romance. From a revengeful, blackmailing bargain struck in secret to their unconventional relationship, this couple's lust-filled emotional journey fascinated and captivated me from the very first page.
Being a loving and dutiful older sibling, Arthur Godwick quickly intervened to help resolve a major problem caused by his irresponsible kid brother, Charlie. Apparently, baby bro racked up a 100K tab at Regan's hotel, The Pearl - aka London's most notorious brothel. To cover the debt, Charlie bartered a valuable piece of artwork treasured by their parents - a painting of their great grandfather, Lord Malcolm Godwick. To reclaim the priceless family heirloom, Arthur reluctantly offered himself to provide sexual services to Lady Ferry for ten days. A deal that weighed heavily on good-natured Artie's conscience.
The Godwicks we've encountered so far (i.e., Lord Malcolm, Mona, Spencer, Lia) were unashamedly bawdy, lascivious, and downright lewd. Arthur, on the other hand, seemed more reserved and low-key. Surrendering to Regan's demands made him uncomfortable; however, through their arrangement, we had the opportunity to see a very sexy yet submissive side to his character. I adored virtually everything about Arthur ~ his soft-spoken manner, his compassion, his patience, his immeasurable love for both his family and eventually Regan. He was a genuinely kindhearted and overly affectionate hero. Don't let that gentleness and submissive nature fool you, though. Arthur possessed a very sensual and extremely protective side, which made him completely irresistible.
Overall, I liked Regan. On the surface, she was a seemingly cold-hearted, stubborn, imperious, and demanding businesswoman. Running a whorehouse can be tough, and Regan certainly had a callous personality. Also, focusing on revenge against all the Godwicks for their past sins against her mother only added to her frigidity. But there was a very wounded and vulnerable side to Regan that, once discovered, transformed her from the heartless bitter woman. I loved how Arthur quickly realized the true Regan and tended to her every need. It took some doing, but he truly managed to bring out the softer side of this ornery madam.
The Pearl was an emotional and compelling love story, chock full of passion, secrets, witty banter, and some kink. Tiffany Reisz had me on edge, page after page, holding my breath with every plot twist and turn. Be warned, this is a taboo read, and though it is not typically my cup of tea, Reisz's remarkable writing style easily won me over. Also important to note the author's creative genius in using famous paintings as symbolism, incorporating their meaning, and weaving them into the story line.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this publication via NetGalley

Tiffany Reisz knows her romance and erotica. Where others may be good at one or the other she excels at both with a flourish. I was given the chance to read Reisz's latest Godwick novel and it did not disappoint. When Lord Arthur Godwick must step in to help his brother with a jam at the famous place of debauchery, The Pearl, run by Regan Ferry, he never realized he'd be paying the price not with money but with his body. Throw in a mysterious elusive ghost of his great grandfather who ships the hell out of him and Regan and you've got a steamy novel fraught with mystery and sexiness. And Reisz doesn't mess around with the tired trope of "it was a misunderstanding!' or 'you don't know everything', rather she gets everything out in the open quickly and its a breath of fresh air.
Thank you 8th Circle Press, Tiffany Reisz and NetGalley for allowing me to read this arc. Just what I needed in this lockdown.

Love this series! A ghost from beyond is up to his old tricks as Lord Malcolm puts Regan and Arthur in each other’s sight. Regan has a vendetta to settle and she uses Arthur...the heir apparent... as her whore.
What did I like? This story is hawt!!! Just crazy hawt! Regan starts out as an ice queen but seeing Arthur obey just makes her come undone. Lord Malcolm starts to intervene and things get kinky. Arthur was the big prize though.... hot young guy for Regan to act out a fling with. Two souls vying for each other and neither is complete until they are together. HEA!
I love this author and her ability to just make taboo things just look lovely. This story was created by a gifted story teller! Five huge stars!

This book is insane. The storyline is totally bonkers. There's some fairly uncomfortable scenes that made me skip on and for legal reasons probably shouldn't be in there. (Unless I've read it wrong she talks about child sex a bit). But the adult sex scenes are actually really good. Read it for that alone because the story is barmy.

4 1/2 stars....
Few authors can write erotica as flawlessly as Tiffany Reisz. I loved each book in this series. The blend of paranormal with romance and erotica is the perfect combination. The Pearl follows suit with the other books. We follow along with Arthur Godwick and Regan Ferry. They are brought together by Arthur's younger brother's mistake. The relationship grows from one of servitude to romance.
I enjoyed the fact that there were a few twists thrown in for good measure. However, regardless of all else, the backstory of the Godwicks always seems to grow with each book. We find out just a little more each time. Seeing the growth in both of these characters was lovely.
The well-developed characters and plot combined with the saucy scenes make this book a must read for erotica fans.
Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily wrote this review and the opinions contained within are my own.

One of the best things about this author is her innate ability to create a scene. Her details help set the mood and setting. I can feel everything from the temperature to the overall feeling that the character is experiencing in the moment. That takes serious skill. This book was an example of that.
Even having not read the previous books, I found myself enjoying this book. At times it was out of my comfort zone but I still was 100% invested in finding out more about all of the characters in the book. It made me want to go back to read the previous books which I know will move up on my TBR in order to get the full experience. At that point, I think that this book will rank higher than four.

Brilliant and breathtaking, I gobbled The Pearl up in one day. Tiffany Reisz is considered a goddess in this genre, and her latest only proves she deserves the worship.

This is the first The Godwicks novel I've read, and I had no issue jumping into the world at this point! The story focuses on Arthur and Regan, but we get to interact with some lovely side characters (that surely have books planned for them later!) as well.
The Pearl is erotic, it's emotional, and it's a bit magical/otherworldly/mystical. I wouldn't label is paranormal romance by any means, and the mysticism isn't center-stage, but it makes things more interesting and creates a very effective outside force driving the characters together in a believable progression. It would've been five stars for me, but for a bit of a too-quick-fix with a side character and a few steamy scenes with some awkwardly overdone descriptors (there's a lot of "organs" in there, especially). Overall though, the writing and story are both superb-- I expect nothing less of Tiffany Reisz.
I will be going back to read The Red soon.

Some books just draw you in from the first page. The Pearl is one such story. I only started this yesterday and although I have plenty of other things that I really needed to be doing, once I opened that first page, it was almost impossible to put it back down for long.
The Pearl is erotica, but in some ways, despite the hot and sexually explicit passages, you could almost forget for a minute that that's what it is. There's so much more going on here. This is a romance in the truest sense of the world. While our characters Arthur and Regan have explosive physical chemistry between them, there is also a much deeper connection, even if it's one that Regan is unwilling to embrace. The book also contains supernatural elements, which blend into the whole story seamlessly, making for an enthralling and believable read.
This is the third Godwicks book. Unfortunately, I haven't read the other two (yet, that may well change). It works fine as a standalone and you don't have to have read the others in the series at all. If they are as good as this one though, I think that it might be worth going back and giving them a go.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Wow! What a steamy book. This book has it all erotica, a sweet love story, and elements of the paranormal.
I especially loved all of the art references and descriptions.
This is the first erotic book that I have read with a good storyline. The story features two individuals that seem to have it all. However, neither one is particularly happy, nor are they aware of their unhappiness until confronted by the other (along with the influence ancestor). It was nice seeing two individuals find what they are missing and preventing them from finding happiness.
I strongly recommend this book for lovers of erotica and romance.

As you'd expect from a Reisz novel, there's a lot of steamy and graphic sex. It's coupled with wit and likeable characters, though, and a world that draws you in. Although this is a part of a series, it's not necessary to have read her previous work to appreciate what's happening. I appreciate how she delves into fantasy, shame, and how people can break down their own barriers. It's also a super quick read that gets you involved without asking too much.

Ahh...The Godwicks are back. This is the third book in the series. You don’t have to read them in order, but I suggest you do because it will help better explain the backstory of certain characters. This is Lord Arthur Godwick’s story. His brother Charlie had gotten himself into some trouble at The Pearl hotel. The owner, Lady Regan Ferry, demanded Arthur meet with her to discuss what to do with Charlie. They come up with a devilish payback that works wonders for both Arthur and Regan. This story like the others in the series, has elements of magic and mystery. It takes you on a journey of self discovery and forgiveness within. And there is the smoldering, explosive, chemistry between Arthur and Regan that Ms. Reisz is so wonderful writing. Like all of Ms. Reisz’s stories, you will be swept away to a fairytale land. Enjoy the ride.

Tiffany Reisz's third book in the Godwick series features Arthur, who is the 21 year old son of the Godwicks. He's been called to The Pearl Hotel in London because his brother has run up a sizable debt. Arthur thinks he will have to rescue his brother yet again, which is a running theme in his life. But when he gets there, Lady Regan doesn't want money, she wants Arthur to pay with his body, for 10 days. I usually don't love older female/younger male stories but Tiffany is such a fantastic storyteller, I read whatever she writes. I devoured this book and fell in love with Arthur and Regan's story. I enjoyed The Pearl so much, and loved the ghost story mystery element! I really hope we continue to see more stories like The Godwicks series from her!

This is the first book of Tiffany's that I've read. Its the 3rd in the series, but I haven't read the previous two and I felt that it read well as a standalone. The characters were complex and there was enough story to keep it going and interesting. Plus the sex was hot!

My first Tiffany Reisz and I'll be back for more. This book was hot. I enjoyed the complexity of the characters and trying to figure out the mystery connection. The ending was a bit of a shock and made me a tense bit uncomfortable but I know it's realistic. I'll be back for another Reisz story.
3.5

I read this ARC for an honest review
All thoughts and opinions are mine
I've not read anything by this author before but this was fantastic !
Great characters and story was really well written
Can't wait to read more from this author

Tiffany Reisz returns to the art world in The Godwicks series with The Pearl. When Charlie Godwick runs up a bill at The Pearl, his older brother Arthur steps in to bail him out. Not only has Charlie stolen Uncle Malcolm's portrait to pay off his "room service" bill, Arthur is now tasked with getting the painting back before their parents can discover the portrait missing.
When Arthur goes to make payment arrangements, he makes a deal with the owner, the infamous Lady Reagan Ferry. He'll have to earn the portrait back.
But Uncle Malcolm isn't going to make it easy either. His interference brings a nice gothic element to the story and the art works made things interesting for me. I absolutely adored how the paintings complemented the story. The steamy scenes are erotic perfection. What more can I say -- I loved this. Devoured it.
Arthur and Reagan's love story is terrific. 5 stars all the way.
A complimentary ARC was provided. This is my honest review.

Just like a pearl, this book was radiant, sensual, and intriguing. A well rounded story with sexy smut, I enjoyed this - and I rarely read erotica! I'll be keeping my eyes out for Tiffany Reisz's other works.
