Poppy Redfern and the Fatal Flyers gave me such feels. The book cast strong female characters as well as the lovable Poppy herself. Set in a series of female mystery novels, Poppy herself stands out with her acts of bravery set to the background of WW2. A fun 'who done it' that will keep you guessing.

In book 2 of the Woman of World War II mysteries, Poppy Redfern has taken a job with the Crown Film Unit and her first assignment is to interview the women of the Air Transport Auxiliary. Within a few days, two pilots have fatal accidents and Poppy and her American pilot friend Griff believe the deaths are not accidents. The main characters are warm and believable. I also appreciate the emphasis on the home front lives of women in Great Britain and the real historical detail..
