had mixed feelings on this one. In some ways it was different than the usual ones of this type. It was also at times somewhat predictable as well. In the areas I liked, there was some unexpected depths.
Both of the main characters were good but Jemma really the most because of her past AND all the things happening in her present. There was a lot of abuse still going on and further along in the story, closer towards the end I was ready for that part to end.
There are good secondary people in the story. Most end up being there for Jemma in varying ways and that I liked.
There are several twists and surprises and I liked how the dangers were dealt with.
The story gets points for the H.E.A. and sweet Epilogue. Still it wasn't enough to make this a keeper for me.

Good book! This book had my heart pounding at certain moments!! It was definitely a high action book! Its my first book in this series and you can definitely read them out of order! I did go back and forth about how much I liked it because the main characters problems went on and on a bit to much for my taste I was almost rolling my eyes towards the end, like enough already! Lol but it was truly a goid story and definitely worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!! I'm going to go back and read the others in the series!

Great story with believable characters that you enjoy when you meet them. They have their demons that they have to overcome, Along with some unbelievable family ties and some very good friends that help them out and a few that may want to hinder their efforts. It has racing, action, and suspense and a great connection between Gareth and Jemma, even if there is a bit of a disconnect. So when you get a chance pick up a copy and enjoy.

I was hooked from the start!! I loved Jemma and Gareth's story. Looking forward to reading more from this author!
